If you really feel like diving into it, you're more than welcome to start asking questions here—though I honestly can't say whether you should or shouldn't, haha.
I’m looking to pick up a school gradebook and a teacher's journal. Where can I actually get my hands on those, and what kind of price range are we talking about? I should clarify right off the bat—I’m not a professor or anything special. Just an ordinary guy, really. Is it even possible for someone like me to just walk in and buy them?

Quick question... where can I pick up a decent calculator in Los Angeles? I’m looking for something substantial—not some cheap toy, but a serious machine $100 capable of handling matrix operations and the like. A Casio would work, though I'm open to Sharp. Something $100 high-end.

That's about it. If anyone knows. Should I just grab a TI-84 at Best Buy, or is there somewhere better—or maybe even cheaper??

Hey there, everyone.
I’m looking for a little help with a specific search. I’m in the market for a military-style vest—sleeveless, camouflage pattern, and something substantial, you know, a heavy-duty winter weight. Ideally, I’m looking for something surplus from the old days, maybe a bit weathered or heavily used; honestly, whether it still has the original unit patches or is just plain fabric doesn't really matter to me. I need that kind of rugged gear you’d see someone wearing out at a construction site, working in the woods, or just handling heavy labor in the cold. Size 54/56 should do it, assuming it fits an average guy standing about 6'1". I’m willing to pay up to $50, depending on how beat up it actually is. If anyone here happens to have one gathering dust in a closet or knows a guy who might be looking to offload some gear like this, could you please shoot me a private message?

Where can I pick up a mug customized with someone's name for a gift?

I was checking out the selection over at Cool Gifts, but they aren't accepting any orders right now. Honestly, I have no idea why...

Most photo studios do that nowadays

And where can I pick up some yellow Golden Virginia tobacco in NYC?

Not really my thing on guys—but check out those shops with the black walls and metallic shirts; you might find stuff at places like Urban Outfitters or some specialty hunting stores...

Those "Vulgaris" snow globes where you pop a photo inside—you see them at most photo studios. Personally, I think they look kind of stupid—clear plastic shaped like an upside-down 'U'.

Also, head to SoHo if you want those overpriced trinkets, I guess. What kind of motifs are you actually looking for?

Can someone please drop a link or just tell me where I can pick up a Manchester United jersey—or maybe another team's kit—for a decent price? It doesn't even need to be an official authentic one, just looking for something cheap.

I actually spotted some at the Target in suburban Philly a few weeks back. Honestly, I was pretty shocked to see my own name there too—that's super rare.😁

Thanks. In that case, I'll probably just swing by the one over on Main Street.
I spotted them at Target too, but they didn't have the specific name I'm looking for.

I'm looking for someone who owns a metal detector and wants to sell it. Maybe hit me up if you do. 🙂

Anyone know where I can pick up some upholstery fabric? Just looking to refresh a piece of furniture...

My tailor mentioned there’s this great shop over near the old downtown district—supposedly they have really good Spanish decorative fabrics at decent prices... but does anyone know exactly where it is?
Thanks for any quick tips
😁

Does anyone know where I might find an affordable thermal flask, perhaps something in the half-liter to liter range, suitable for coffee, tea, or other warm beverages?

Thank you all in advance for your helpful responses. 🙂

If you want cheap, head over to a Target or a Walmart, but if you actually want quality, check out an REI. The budget ones from big-box stores tend to leak the second you tip them upside down, whereas the decent gear actually holds up.

My apologies, I phrased that poorly. I was actually referring to a thermal WATER BOTTLE. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I actually spotted a sale over at Target, but that ended about two months ago—a thermal $10bottle
. :/ I've looked everywhere else, but everything seems quite pricey, mostly costing more than $33...
