My sister brought home a flyer from school today—apparently, on December 20th, 2008, there's going to be a massive gathering at Flower Square to collect old denim. The goal is to attempt to sew together the largest pair of jeans in the world. On top of the whole spectacle of making giant pants, they’re also donating $2.25 for every pair turned in to support "Wings," an organization dedicated to therapeutic horseback riding.
I am absolutely showing up with my old pair!!!!!

Does anyone happen to have any IGDI lights—you know, the ones with the frayed edges, maybe a little worn down? I’m specifically looking for a skinny fit if possible.

Mark Perez2 said:Same here. Honestly, I’ve got way too many denim jackets stashed away, so I never bother buying anything new for a year or two. By the time I actually feel like shopping, the whole look is already out of style anyway. 😁

You're very welcome—and truly, it is my pleasure to assist you. I shall remain standing by, ready to apply this specific stylistic rigor whenever you require it. 🙂 I was just mulling things over, and I have to say—it really brightened my mood to hear that you all think their denim is top-tier—but unfortunately, they’re completely out of my size now. 😢

Honestly, their numbers are completely broken. Good grief, what are they even doing over there? 🙄 👎

Once a month, my city hosts one of those massive flea markets—you know the type, just a sprawling sea of everything and anything, mostly overflowing with clothes. I headed out specifically looking for a pair of black jeans, and wouldn't you know it? I found them on the very first try, and to top it off, they were actually... $33 😍
I’ve washed them several times already, and they look exactly the same. Is there even a point? 🙏
I’ll definitely be picking up another one next month. No doubt about it. 👍

Harold Williams said:So, I finally bit the bullet yesterday and picked up my very first pair of Levi's... $149 I actually managed to snag them on sale, which felt like a little win. I think there’s that big 20% off sale happening at Macy's through November 30th if anyone else is looking to treat themselves... Honestly, I’m pretty thrilled with them. I went with the 602 model in a dark wash, and they hit that perfect sweet spot where they aren't too short or awkwardly long, they just fit me perfectly 😁. Yeah, I'm definitely happy with this purchase 😁.

What kind of cut is that? I went with the 572 bootcut. Honestly, looking back, I regret not grabbing another style while that sale was active...

and I honestly don't even know how to put this into words for you 😁. they're kind of shaped like a trapezoid... I couldn't find a decent photo of them online, but they're similar to these, except the denim is way darker and you can see these yellow stitching details along the seams...

Hey, can anyone help me out here? I’m trying to figure out if there's anywhere I can actually pick up some jeans without having to pay a security deposit upfront.🙂

I think I tried those too, but they were out of my size. Their sizing and cuts are all over the place... I was swimming in a 28 in the 602 model, but had to grab a 29 in the 572. Usually, I go with a 27 in Mustang, but when it comes to actual denim quality... they just aren't in the same league as Levi's.

@ gentlecrane3.. I picked up some similar ones at Ralph Lauren back in September. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure if they'll actually do much for you, but worth a shot.

That would likely constitute an excessive expenditure for my current student budget 😁... but thank you nonetheless. 👍

So, I'm on the hunt for those Djimo Dimije flared jeans—you know, the ones that really "flow"... I spotted a pair at a boutique over in downtown Chicago, but they were $267 and I didn't exactly have the time to pull over and try them on. Does anyone know where I can find something similar without breaking the bank? Or if that's a bust, does anyone know if there’s a shop in St. Louis that carries that specific brand? I think it's named after some woman, 🤔... let me know

I need slim, straight-cut black ones. Something that looks more like elegant trousers than jeans. And they have to be pitch black... not gray, just pure black...

Quick question...
I have these pair of denim shorts, size 31—and since there’s only a 32 available, let's just say I know exactly what we're working with back there—and they aren't those tight, tapered ones that hug the knees. Instead, they kind of flow straight down from the hips, almost like that "loose fit" style everyone's talking about lately.
The real kicker, though, is the cut. They provide plenty of coverage in the back, but the front is incredibly low-rise with only two buttons, which is honestly exactly what I've been looking for. It's actually the first pair I've found where I don't feel like everything is going to spill out the moment I sit down. A friend gave them to me as a gift, so the steep price tag didn't really bother me at the time, but now that I'm looking to buy another pair for myself, I'm facing the reality of paying full price...
What I’m really trying to figure out is if any of you have come across this specific style before? I'm talking wider through the leg, not flared, with a high waist in the back but very low in the front, preferably in a darker wash.
Thanks!😁

I picked up a pair from Manga that were deep, midnight black. They’re high-waisted, carrot-cut style, and honestly, they fit the rear end perfectly.👍
The only real issue is that they tend to stretch out a bit too quickly—if you sit down too much, you might find them getting a little loose by dinner time.👎

So, I was thinking—can you actually find some decent men's sneakers>> that wouldn't look totally ridiculous paired with denim?

I always find myself drawn to sketching out designs for things that you just can't find anywhere else in a store, and that’s exactly how I feel about these jeans. It’s like there's this internal pull toward the rare and the unfindable; once these become mass-produced and available on every single street corner in America, they probably won't hold quite the same magic or spark my interest as much as they do right now.🤷
