Whenever I'm browsing the aisles at the grocery store and see something I just have to have. 😬

Hey ladies! I’m not entirely sure if this is the right corner of the internet for this, but I figured I’d give it a shot... basically, I’m having a total meltdown over buying jeans. I’m carrying about 30 pounds of extra weight right now, and finding anything that actually fits is becoming an absolute nightmare—I can't squeeze into anything, period. Not that I look like a literal barrel or anything, haha, I'm 5'11", but getting my butt into a decent pair of denim is impossible; they always get stuck right at the hips. And honestly, the second I see that happening in the mirror, I just lose all motivation and want to give up on everything. Does anyone have any recommendations for clothing brands that you know for a fact carry larger sizes? Thanks so much! 😉

I have a friend dealing with similar issues, and I know she finally found her perfect pair of jeans at Gap! 🙂

Thanks for getting back to me.😉

I was actually just checking out some jeans at Old Navy earlier, and honestly, I’ve already got like two pairs from there sitting in my closet right now. They aren't bad, I guess, but they feel kind of flimsy? Like, maybe okay for a summer day in July, but definitely not exactly what I want to be wearing when it gets freezing outside. I was thinking about finally upgrading to something a bit more heavy-duty, maybe picking up some Levi's or something similar. I just need denim that actually feels substantial enough to handle a real winter.

🤣 I appreciate that kind of honest feedback. I completely understand where you're coming from.

Where on earth did you track down those PRPS jeans? I've been hunting everywhere and have zero luck.🤷
I checked their official site, but they only list US retailers... someone please help.🙂

I used to spend my money on Levi's, Diesel, Wrangler, Gap, or Lee, but honestly, nothing ever quite hit the mark like what I found at 🙂....I’ve become completely obsessed with their denim 😍; they seem to have mastered the art of the fit, offering those ultra-low rises I crave, and the way they drape is just seamless—the width, the length, everything is spot on 🙂.
As for the price, we're looking at somewhere between $300 and $167...and if I'm being truthful, I haven't looked elsewhere for my jeans in two years now.

So, where’s that review hiding? I'm dying to know—are they actually flexible, or are we talking stiff as a board?

Stretchable, soft denim... I can’t stand rigid fabrics; they just don't sit right on my frame, and I absolutely loathe the feeling. This softer denim, however, always fits me flawlessly, plus the reviews mention low-rise cuts, which happens to be exactly my style.
In the past, I’ve struggled with jeans that lost their shape after a few trips through the laundry, ending up all stretched out and sagging around my waist. These, though, look just as good after washing as they did the day I bought them.

The reviews are quite accurate, and they actually have a physical storefront downtown. They recently had a sale on their website where most pieces were hovering around $130...$100...

Thanks, Alexxis—I'll definitely check it out next time. I always just kind of skim through these things because they all seem so incredibly serious to me 🙈
Do you happen to have a website? I tried looking for one, but all I could find was some Australian site that's currently under construction... I just wanted to get a better look at the models

I don't have a website myself—I actually just went looking for one... there’s absolutely nothing there. I tossed the labels, too; they were probably attached to them.

That initial section you see as soon as you walk in is quite serious, geared more toward an older demographic... but you really need to venture all the way inside and then take a left. That's where the fantastic pieces are. I never even bother glancing at that first section. Honestly, browsing downtown is much better than what you find over in the West End.

Otherwise, if you're looking for a wider selection of reviewed clothing, their retail store has it; it's located right near the entrance, close to Shoe Be Doe and Humanic.

Hey, quick question—does anyone know if Duncan is actually in CC1 or WG? I’ve been looking around CC1 and haven't spotted him yet.
I haven't even given my handbag a thorough inspection yet—but now that you've mentioned those jeans, I'm definitely going to go take a look. 🙂 Are the models actually modern though? Like, do they have skinny types and everything else too?

Honestly, the last pair of skinnies I picked up were incredibly low-rise...

I’m not entirely sure if they have any reviews over at Westgate, though I know there are some for City Center. Given that only Peek and Review seem to carry those specific cuts, it might be worth heading down to the mall to check them out in person. The selection at Westgate isn't exactly vast; it feels more geared toward an older demographic and doesn't really offer much of that trendy, low-slung look I mentioned earlier.

Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up some men's slim-fit black jeans around town—and maybe give me a ballpark on what they'd run me? Does Mustang carry anything like that in their lineup?

Does anyone know where I can find some decent denim jeans—and I mean actually good quality, not that cheap stuff you find at a discount bin or some nameless boutique—for around $30 or $40? 😁 I’m specifically looking for something with a bit of stretch. Honestly, the best pair I've ever owned were these Mustang jeans I bought eight years ago—they used to be a classic straight leg, but I actually had them tailored down into skinny jeans. Even after all this time, they haven't faded or lost their shape at all; I've been wearing them for nearly a decade and they still hold up perfectly.

You have Orsay, Tally Weijl, and C&A available, though I can't say much regarding their actual quality levels... one can certainly find a few gems at Peek too... reviews usually run about 200 pages— $100 though it's currently on sale...

I mean, honestly? I don't even know where to start with that one. It’s just... yeah. I guess we're really doing this now. Maybe it's just one of those days where nothing makes sense, you know? Just one of those things. Whatever. $67 Man, these ribs are incredible. Seriously. I mean, I guess I shouldn't be surprised because this place is legit, but wow. Just... wow. 👍

My Zaras ended up stretching out on me, so I actually had to take them in for some slimming... but they're fine now...

Ugh, guys, I just saw these Diesel jeans—the Matic model—and they are literally calling my name right now! 🙏 Since I’ve never actually dropped any cash on Diesel denim before, I figured I’d ask you all: is it actually worth the splurge, or am I just throwing money down the drain?
