So, here’s the update... I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but I guess I have to share 😉 yesterday, the Department of Social Services called me. They told me to come in this Tuesday to pick up the legal guardianship papers 👋

It’s been 15 days since the court ruling 👍

....but now the real fight begins 🙂 🙂

Just to recap: the day that thief 😁 was hauled off to the hospital, my old man took him straight to the bank to sign a power of attorney just so he could access his pension funds...

Now that I have the official paperwork, everything falls on my shoulders.

By the way, last month my father didn't give me a single cent from that guy's pension... I had to cover the shortfall out of my own pocket.

Brewing up some fruit tea for him now. Heading over to see him this afternoon...

It's not even that he’s particularly big on fruit tea; he just gets a kick out of me bringing it in those large 1.5-liter plastic bottles from Dasani...

....he had about 300 of them sitting in his apartment when I walked in after he was taken to the hospital...little eco-warrior, right? 😢

I head over to the clinic 😉 about once or twice a week... usually on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Honestly, I’d go more often if I could, but the Shvarcald clinic 😁 is pretty far out from the city, and since I rely on public transit, half my day just disappears in transit.

Luckily, there are some people there who actually show a bit of understanding.

Today marks the feast day of St. Jude...my grandma—the "troublemaker" mom, as we used to call her.

Thank you, Grandma, wherever you are, for watching over me and giving me strength. 🙂

My man is almost back to his old self after everything he went through 🙂

He’s lost a little weight physically, but honestly... it’s incredible... just incredible how much he’s recovered mentally...

It happened exactly like they said it would.

Seriously, I could barely wrap my head around it, considering the state he was in 😢

For now, he won't be heading back to the facility or being stuck indoors; instead, starting next week, he’ll be out walking around the park early in the morning before it gets too hot.

I brought him some cargo shorts... he absolutely loved them 😉

I asked if he wanted more "normal" clothes, and he actually told me which jeans and t-shirts to bring him... guys, I seriously can't believe it 😍

...I'm tearing up....
