Dr. Doko is fine (I saw her about 10 years ago)—pretty laid back, decent enough, but nothing to write home about;
nowadays I’m seeing this younger doctor (Dr. Gregov) at the university clinic (near City Hall in downtown); so far, she’s been great—organized, precise, gets straight to the point, and just easy to talk to. Honestly, she's super 👍

Richard Cruz said:Does anyone actually have anything useful to say about those two male OB-GYNs over at the Dugave community clinic?

My go-to socialized doctor is Dr. Marčeta at the Dugave clinic. For my pregnancy, though, I went private with Dr. Rušinović—honestly, he was great, so I’m sticking with him.

As for Marčeta, I can't stand him—he's rude, stingy with referrals and prescriptions, and frankly, I don't think he knows what he's doing half the time.🙄

I also tried seeing Dr. Snježana Škreblin Kučić privately once. I was pregnant at the time, and after her supposedly "gentle" exam, I ended up bleeding. Not exactly a glowing recommendation.👎 😠

Hey everyone... Dr. Doko, it's me 😉 !!!

If anyone's had a bad experience, maybe speak up now, or just stay quiet forever, I guess!😎

I absolutely cannot recommend Dr. Grujic—just, NO. When it comes to their psychological approach to patients? Zero points. For me, heading to the gynecologist is honestly pretty stressful because of a whole history of procedures dating back to my teens—everything from various cleanings to complications following those surgeries, you name it. Because of that, I look for a doctor who is actually kind (regardless of whether they're male or female) and who takes the time to properly inform me. I can't stand being treated like I’ve never heard a single word about medicine in my entire life, or like the appointment is some divine favor they're doing for me! They seem to forget they exist to serve us, not the other way around. Instead, I highly recommend a male gynecologist over on Bosutskaja Street; his office is located right within the microbiology clinic. He is such a normal, decent human being! He explains everything in great detail, provides concrete information, stays up to date with the latest medical findings, and most importantly, he doesn't view you as just another "case"—he treats you like a person who is actively taking charge of their own health. Honestly, I have so much respect for you ladies who managed to endure comments from certain doctors, not to mention any inappropriate physical conduct. If that happened to me, I bet the local news would run a headline about some "unhinged" patient attacking an "innocent" physician!

I used to see her before she moved over to St. Duh.

She's good. 👍
Lisa Richardson8 said:Alright, are you guys finally going to name her?

I go to the place where Dr. Dmitrovic used to be—though I don't actually know this new doctor's name. The lady is just... confused. She's a bit scatterbrained.
I'll probably have to find someone else...

Dr. Mador took her spot. Personally, I'm dodging Mador to stick with Topalovic; I'm just waiting until February because they automatically switched me over to Mador once Dr. Dmitrovic left.

Wait, really? 😕 I’ve been seeing her for years, and she’s always been incredibly sweet and kind to me. 😕 I could chat with her for ten minutes after an appointment and she was always super approachable about any questions I had. When I was younger, she actually used to doodle things with me just to keep me occupied. 😁 I honestly don't get how anyone could have a bad experience with her. 😕

Are we even talking about the same one—the one over by Star Boulevard? 😁 😕

We talk and we talk about her over at St. Jude’s, and look, I’m not even questioning if she knows her stuff medically, but man, the way she handles people!!! I went to see her a while back for some routine checkups—nothing was wrong with my reproductive health back then. The first visit, she was fine, polite enough, kept things brief and clear. The second time, she started getting a bit... well, let's just say "dismissive." But the third time? After some sudden, messy hormonal shifts and other bad lab results came back, she basically snapped at me. There wasn't a shred of empathy or even a heads-up; she just dropped a diagnosis on me that made my blood run cold: infertility caused by a genetic disorder, with zero chance of conception through assisted methods. Now, I think the diagnosis itself was spot on, but I was completely blindsided. It wasn't even on my radar; I was actually looking forward to starting a family soon. And this woman, with a voice as ice-cold as a winter morning in Chicago, just tells me, "You aren't going to have children. You can seek a second opinion, obviously. Anyway... go see the nurse to schedule your next appointment and bring the blood work. Goodbye."
When I was sitting there in total shock, barely able to stammer out a question about whether I should head over to Mayo Clinic for some follow-up tests or maybe try a different therapy... she just cut me off with, "With hormone levels like these, nobody there will even give you the time of day!"
I mean, seriously 😱. That woman has all the subtlety of a freight train!

Good grief, this is just appalling....😱

Honestly, even veterinarians treat their clients with more dignity than this...

So... I’m seeing Dr. Dark Husar privately right now and honestly, I’m super happy with him!
Aside from the fact that his nurse is a little bit out there—like, she’s constantly hitting me with a million questions that have absolutely nothing to do with gynecology😠—it makes those five minutes sitting in the waiting room a total mental workout just trying to defend myself...
(- Hey, so how much do you guys make?
- Enough.😬)

Anyway, what I really need now is a state-run OB-GYN who will *only* write my referrals and won't start some massive fight about it. Basically, I don't want any exams or anything, just someone who follows orders—they give me my paperwork, and we all go our separate ways feeling great.
Ideally somewhere around downtown or near the West Side.
Does anyone know a good one?

Christian Lee13 said:I mean, like, honestly... 😱 Honestly, let’s be real for a second—some women can be about as subtle as a John Deere tractor barreling through a quiet cornfield! There, I said it! It’s just one of those things, right? Sometimes you feel like you could drop a massive anvil from a skyscraper and it wouldn't make half as much noise as certain "hints" being dropped during dinner. I'm not naming names—though we all know who I mean—but it’s definitely a thing! Just a little observation from my corner of the world!

Honestly, I don’t know how anyone survives their morning workouts without Strava—it’s basically become my digital lifeblood at this point!—but man, it can be such a double-edged sword, right? On one hand, you’ve got that incredible rush of seeing your stats climb and checking off those miles, which is honestly the only thing that gets me out of bed when it’s freezing outside. It’s like a little game where the prize is just feeling slightly less sluggish than yesterday! But then... oh boy, then there's the social aspect. We've all been there—you finish a brutal run, absolutely gasping for air, feeling like you might actually pass out on the sidewalk, and then you check the feed only to see someone else crushed a personal best while you were struggling to even tie your laces! It’s so easy to fall into that trap of comparing your "slow" days to everyone else's highlight reels. It can get a little competitive, and let’s be real, sometimes it feels like we're all just performing for our followers rather than actually enjoying the movement. Still, I find myself addicted to the data. There’s just something about seeing those little maps and heat zones—it makes the whole effort feel *real*, you know? Like, okay, I actually did the work! Even if I am a total nerd for analyzing my cadence or heart rate zones for way too long over a cup of coffee. It’s a weird, wonderful, slightly obsessive little world, but hey—I wouldn't trade my digital trophies for anything! 😲

Oh man, I am just feeling so incredibly bad for those little ones—honestly, my heart is just breaking for them, northernseal6! It’s just one of those things that stays on your mind, you know? Truly bummed out about it. 😘

That woman is the real deal. I was there with my sister, and honestly? She walked out of that doctor's office in tears. Total disaster. It was a complete mess, for sure.

Andariel said:Has anyone actually visited Tarley at the university student health center? What's he like?

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend him if I were you... when I went to see him last year, he wouldn't even give me a proper exam; he refused to send me for an ovarian ultrasound and just insisted on basic blood work instead.
When I asked for a full check-up, he just kept questioning me about whether my kidneys, heart, or liver were okay, and then basically told me everything was fine.😲 😲 👎
I told myself right then that I'd never go back...

By the way, he doesn't even work at the student clinic anymore.

placidgardener19 said:Honestly, what I really need right now is a government-run gin distillery... one that would focus solely on churning out those medical referrals without making a massive production out of everything else. You know, none of this unnecessary diagnostic runaround or endless specialist consultations, just a straightforward system where they follow orders—hand over my paperwork and let everyone go about their business in peace...
Somewhere around the downtown area or maybe over by the West Side...
Does anyone happen to have any insight on this...

So, this is what I’m actually looking for? Recommendations...

Since it looks like nobody here recommends a gynecologist through Blue Cross, I’ve decided to just go private and book an appointment at Dr. Harni's clinic.
I've already scheduled it, and they told me I'll be seeing Dr. Maja Gudelj.

Can anyone tell me anything about her? Pleaseeeee 👋 👋

Since I don't see anyone recommending a gynecologist through Blue Cross or any other major insurance provider here, I've decided to just go private at Dr. Harni's clinic.
I went ahead and booked an appointment, and they told me I'll be seeing Dr. Maja Gudelj.

Can anyone tell me anything about her? Pleaseeeee! 👋 👋

Is anyone planning on seeing Dr. Maria
Gregory at the student health clinic? I heard she’s actually one of the only doctors still taking patients there, so I was wondering if anyone knows what she's like? 👍 maybe 👎

thanks!

Gudelj is top-tier—young, professional, and she absolutely nails the job. She isn’t one for that performative, over-the-top friendliness you see everywhere these days, but she explains everything in meticulous detail. She actually puts in the effort, and more importantly, there's none of that typical "know-it-all" engineer ego hanging around.
