and she sounded incredibly cold 😲

Honestly, I had a pretty much identical experience... I live right down the street from the clinic, but after that? No way am I stepping foot in there again... 😢 It’s such a joke—especially since it would be so much easier if I didn't have to trek all the way across town every single time. 😢 😢

I had a conversation with her. 😢

Does anyone out there actually have a recommendation for a gynecologist who isn't completely cold? I am looking for someone who actually possesses a shred of kindness and basic bedside manner—is that even possible in this country? 😁 Even if it weren't a private enterprise? Is that really the point you're trying to make? 😳

I’m looking for a gynecologist recommendation... honestly, gender doesn't matter to me. Up until now, I’ve been seeing Dr. Stokes over in the suburbs, but he is just absolutely terrible. It feels like I have to explain everything from scratch myself, so I usually end up just paying for a private specialist like Dr. Miller over in the uptown district—he’s fantastic and actually takes the time to explain things properly. But right now, I need someone covered by insurance, not a private practice. If anyone knows a good doctor, please let me know. Male or female, I don't care. My current situation is just... awful. I tried following my pregnancy through St. Jude’s because I thought it would be reliable, but what an absolute nightmare...

I end up having to explain everything myself and tell him what needs to be done, so I’d honestly rather just go private to see Dr. Husar over in Tratinska since he’s actually great and explains things clearly. But right now, I need someone covered by insurance, so any leads on a good doctor would be appreciated. Doesn't matter the gender. This current guy is just rrrrrrrrrad. I tried following my pregnancy at St. Jude’s because I thought, "who knows..." but yeah, total nightmare.

Hmm, try Dr. Topalovic over on Studentska near the mosque. His bedside manner is a little weird—read: cold—but he's highly skilled. I've heard he's especially solid for prenatal care and stuff like that.

Looking for a solid private gynecologist in [City Name]--any recommendations?🙂
Also, I was wondering if there’s anything similar to a university health clinic here (like they have over at [University City])—basically a clinic specifically geared toward helping female students?

Private OB-GYN Clinic - Dr. Jasenka Grujic Koracin
So, has anyone here actually seen this doctor before? If you have, I’d love to hear what you think—any feedback at all, whether it’s good or bad, would be super helpful...
She seems like a decent doctor to me...🙂 😛

I visited Dr. Harrison at her clinic a few years back. Honestly, I think she overcharges quite a bit.

At first, everything was fine. I was actually impressed by the waiting room, how organized the office was, even the little goodie bags they give you. The nurse was lovely, too—everything seemed perfect.

Then, she became "famous." Suddenly, all these local celebrities started showing up, and the fame clearly went straight to her head. She became much less friendly toward us regular folks, and frankly, it rubbed me the wrong way.

One time, I went in because I suspected I had PCOS and needed some guidance. First, she snapped at me, calling me a hypochondriac. She told me I just needed to lose a few pounds and my cycle would fix itself, blah blah blah. Then, after looking at my ultrasound, she had to admit I was right and that I actually did have PCOS. It’s like she was offended that I actually knew what I was talking about and was trying to do her job for her. When she couldn't make the diagnosis herself, I basically had to do it!

Anyway, I haven't set foot in her office since. There is no way I'm spending that kind of money to see her ever again.

On top of that, she was constantly bickering with her nurse, constantly reminding her "where she stood," even though the nurse was incredibly capable and kind. It clearly got under her skin.

Definitely a NO for me.

so how did you even figure out it was PCOS before you actually went in for an exam? (besides the fact that I’m guessing you were dealing with acne and some weight gain or whatever...)

I think that new, younger gynecologist over at the Railway Hospital near the Esplanade still works there—I can't quite recall her name... she’s on the opposite shift from Dr. Suade Hadžiselimović-Dijab.
As for Dr. Grujić-Koračin’s "warmth," I think I already vented about that somewhere else up in the threads 😱.
I'm curious, though—does anyone here actually see Dr. Hadžiselimović? What’s the verdict?
Not that it matters much, considering she probably has a waiting list of about 9,000 women out there 🙄...
To be honest, I used to find her kind of off-putting, so I basically fled to a private practice to see Grujić-Koračin instead... and 😁 well, eventually, I found my way back. I guess her personality has finally "clicked" for me now.

So, has anyone actually been to see this doctor? If so, any thoughts? Positive, negative, whatever...
She seems okay to me...🙂 😛

Maybe try scrolling back through a few posts first? 😁

I’ve been going to her for years now and my experience has been great. I'll say it again just to be clear: 😁 🙂

As for people saying she's cold or arrogant or whatever else, she’s certainly never been that way with me.😕

He was never cold to me. He actually remembers my test results by heart when I call to check in, and he's always been perfectly polite and kind.

🙏 🙏 🙏

Just don't bother trying to book an appointment—his practice is completely full. 😉

I’ve been going to her for years now and I’ve always had such great experiences—honestly, let me just say it one more time: 😁 🙂

As for the idea that she’s cold, or stuck-up, or whatever else people claim... in my book, she’s never once acted that way. 😕

Oops... 😁 😛
Anyway, thanks! 😉

Does a university health clinic exist in the city—similar to the one in Chicago—and because of that, is there a gynecologist specifically for female students?

I decided to check out Mediko Clinic based on a recommendation, seeing Dr. Sanja Jurice. Honestly, she’s a wonderful woman—really great to work with. 🙂

I have absolutely no idea about a student health clinic; I’ve never even heard of one, so I'm guessing there isn't one in San Diego. 😕

Why don't you just ask the person who gave you the referral?😕 😁

yamadado said:p.s. my doctor sent me to Mercy, then to St. Jude’s, and finally to the new hospital. They aren't even taking admissions at Mercy until the end of the year, they just gave me the runaround at St. Jude’s, and the new one isn't even operational yet...🙂

Why are you even looking at me like that? I don't have HPV.😁 😁 😁

yamadado said:Hey there!

I'm a guy looking for somewhere in the middle of nowhere, basically, where I can get an HPV test using my insurance referral. I'd rather avoid going private because it's so expensive, $233?

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure since you're male. However, I know that when I went to a private clinic, they charged me $233, but when I went to Modern Diagnostics, it was way more affordable. You can check the prices right on their website. The staff there is super friendly, too, and they have a toll-free number if you want to call ahead, book an appointment, or just ask questions.
p.s. Just a heads up, at Modern Diagnostics, they only test for high-risk strains.

A few days ago, I started feeling this pain near my perineum. There's this hard lump under the skin, about the size of a grape, and it hurts. One side is totally swollen compared to the other; it’s constant pain, and now I’m even having trouble sitting down.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? I want to get checked out ASAP because I'm worried it might be serious, but I don't have a regular gynecologist. Should I start with my primary care doctor or just head straight to an OB-GYN? And if I go to a private clinic, is there any point in waiting?

Right at the entrance to the vaginal canal, you’ve got more than just the Bartholin's glands—there are sweat glands and sebaceous glands tucked in there too. If any of them get inflamed, it can look just like this.

Took a closer look and it’s not right on the opening, just a little bit below. Thanks for the heads-up 😘
