But man, this woman was a total riot.

"Alright, here is your uterus. It looks beautiful. Just lovely. Now let's check those ovaries. Simply gorgeous. Oh, I am just so happy when everything looks perfectly in place..."
.... "Everything looks great, and your cervix is fine too. You wouldn't believe the types I see coming through here; they're seventeen years old and already looking like they've had everything packed in there. That's how it should be..."

"...Now, let me examine your breasts. Just imagine if I were a man. If you get worked up, I might just have to run a Pap test."

She is seriously one of a kind.
👍

Who was that? Gudeljica? She told me: "Wow!!! Your ovaries look very promising!"

I know you said no private practices,

but the Harni clinic over in Dubrava is pretty much the gold standard. It’s worth every cent, I guess.

Trust me on this one.

I realize I'm a man talking about women's healthcare, but my job involves visiting these kinds of clinics and hospitals constantly, so I have some insight.

The cause is the exact same thing.

Thanks. It worked.

New issue: the skin on my finger cracked open. My dad was slicing tomatoes earlier so I know I didn't cut myself. And I wasn't even doing anything to anyone else—just myself. Does that mean I have a tight pussy? 😢
Also, do I rub hemorrhoid cream on that too?

New problem: my skin just split open on my finger. And before anyone starts—my dad was busy slicing up tomatoes in the kitchen, so I know for a fact I didn't cut myself on a knife. I haven't even been... you know, "busy" with anyone else. Just myself. So, does this mean I have a nasty cunt? 😢
Oh, so what—you think I’m gonna go ahead and slather that hemorrhoid cream on you too? Seriously?... Honestly, some requests are just straight-up unhinged. I’ve heard some wild stuff on these boards, but this is taking the cake—or maybe the whole bakery at this point. Just... yeah, no. Definitely not happening.

What would you rather rub cream on? Your... well, let's just say "down there" or just use a finger? Honestly, life’s too weird for straight questions like that—just a thought floating around in my head while I stare at the ceiling...

If you think for one second that your teeth are looking a little jagged or whatever... maybe try dripping some fluoride acid over those bottom molars—just enough to melt them down, I guess? But hey, watch yourself, don't go spilling any on your skin. Seriously. If you do end up burning yourself, just run to the local CVS or Walgreens and grab some hemorrhoid cream... then just smear it all over those holes that’ll be showing once the acid does its thing... 😬 ...but only if you grease it up with some Vaseline first.

Wait, did I just see that? No way... hold on, let me get my bearings—actually, never mind, I’m already losing it. Anyway, where was I? Right. Just another day in this absolute circus we call life. Everything feels like a rerun of a bad sitcom lately, doesn't it? Like, you wake up, stare at the ceiling for twenty minutes questioning every life choice that led you to this exact moment, and then—bam—reality hits you like a freight train on the interstate. It’s exhausting. Honestly, if I have to deal with one more "groundbreaking" trend or another person acting like they've discovered fire, I might actually lose my mind... or just go take a long nap. Probably both. Let's be real. 👋

...So, I booked an appointment at that absolute disaster zone of a clinic... right by Poet's Square...
Never been there before. I live abroad, so I figured I’d get everything sorted while back home on vacation... yeah, right.
First off: Grandpa is blind.
Second: He clearly isn't a fan of mine.
Third:
Regarding bacteria? He says it's "nothing to worry about." (WTF?)
Fourth: He didn't even ask if I wanted an ultrasound... he just kind of fumbled around aimlessly.
When I asked about these itchy growths on my labia—things that definitely weren't there before—it took him forever just to find them. And then his big conclusion? That they're "normal changes"??! How are they normal if they weren't there before?
Then I asked if I should get additional testing done, like for chlamydia or trichomonas, etc. He just rambled... oh, you need a referral from a doctor for that... and then you get sent from one lab to another... what on earth are you talking about? Now this lazy, blind old man is making things harder by overcomplicating something incredibly simple... everything is easy, man, as long as you have the cash... no need for those extra referrals from some freaking primary care physician...
He just wasn't feeling it. That's all.
+ Also, the Pap smear took and took... (like three weeks... because of the holidays... honestly, whatever.)

Supernova sucks.
Lazy and unprofessional regarding my specific situation.

(I wanted to see the specialists over at Mercy Hospital, but they were packed... damn, just my luck.)

I shave everything. I know some women don't bother at all. Honestly, it doesn't even matter to them if you are shaved or not. 😉

Regarding private versus public doctors—honestly, I spent years paying out of pocket for specialists in San Diego because I thought I was way too high-maintenance to sit around in waiting rooms, but once you get pregnant, you pretty much have to stick with your assigned provider, so I signed up with Dr. Salomon over in La Jolla and I’ve gotta say, she’s absolutely incredible. She doesn't skimp on a single thing, from testing for every possible bug, fungus, or bacteria in your urine to ultrasounds and full blood panels, plus she goes above and beyond with all those mandatory prenatal checkups, so I’m usually in and out of her office in about ninety minutes. Now, if you head over to the hospital in San Diego, Dr. Clark is phenomenal; he’s got hands as rough as a dockworker, but I haven't encountered a doctor quite as gentle as my lady here yet. I'm probably being naive, but I don't think just because someone runs a private practice while another works through Medicaid means one is top-tier and the other is garbage. At the end of the day, it really just comes down to the individual and how much they actually give a damn about their work, which is why I still swear by face-to-face communication, though let's be real, nobody is born with the ability to make everyone happy.

Great, glad you're doing just fine. You have no idea what kind of messages I get. They’re all seventeen, yet somehow they’ve already had everything packed in there. I guess that's just how it goes.

...And now, let's take a look at those breasts. Just pretend for a second that I'm a guy. If you actually get worked up, I guess I might have to run a paternity test on you.

Women are the law.
👍

Good grief. 🤣 If that kind of thing ever happened to me, I guess I’d just turn around and bolt out of there without a second thought. 😛 Probably without underwear. 😁 😁

I don't mean to imply I'm looking for a fight, but there's a limit to how much nonsense one person can take. 🙄 🙄 😁

I had a similar experience once. My gynecologist told me it was perfectly fine—suggesting that maybe the bumps weren't actually what was itching, but rather an allergic reaction to soap or skin irritation from shaving, or something along those lines...

driftingstag8 said:Regarding the whole debate over private versus public doctors—I have a bit of a personal history with this. For years, I actually sought out private specialists in San Diego because I always considered myself far too refined to spend my afternoons sitting in crowded waiting rooms. However, once you become pregnant, everything changes; you have to register with a primary physician under your insurance provider. Following that logic, I signed up with Dr. Salomon in La Jolla, and I have to say, I am beyond thrilled with the decision. She is incredibly thorough, and she doesn't skimp on anything. There is no penny-pinching when it comes to necessary tests or ultrasounds; in fact, her level of care is almost excessive in the best way possible. She runs everything from screenings for various infections and bacteria in urine samples to full blood panels and detailed ultrasounds. Because she handles all the necessary prenatal processing so efficiently, I’m usually finished with my entire appointment in about ninety minutes. On the other hand, if you find yourself at the local hospital, Dr. Clark is an absolutely stellar physician. He has hands as rough as a dockworker's, but I haven't encountered anyone with a gentler touch than him yet. I suppose I’m a bit naive, but I don't believe that being "private" versus working within the standard insurance network dictates the quality of care. One isn't inherently superior to the other. At the end of the day, the caliber of service depends entirely on the individual practitioner and how conscientious they are. That’s why I still think a face-to-face conversation is the only way to truly judge. Then again, truth be told, people aren't born with the ability to please everyone.

I agree.

Has anyone dealt with this before, and what should I do?
Should I pick something up at a drugstore? Or what?
I’m currently on birth control.
I feel like I just gave birth to... twins!!!!
Please help meeeee.

Good grief, aren't you going to see a doctor!!!
I was reading about a similar topic on another forum, and it seemed they were saying it's caused by a combination of yeast infections weakening the tissue and physical friction...
Generally speaking, it isn't exactly harmless, and I don't understand why people mess around with their health only to end up complaining later.
I have a tiny little baby, and having recently gone through a rough delivery myself, I find myself rushing to the gynecologist at the slightest sign of anything—which might seem overactive to someone who hasn't been through it, perhaps.
It's not that I'm panicking. It's just that I have one little being depending on me, and I have no desire to end up in the hospital, for his sake.😢
Besides, how exactly do you think a bunch of women on an internet forum can help you here? Even any sane doctor would tell you, "I can't give you advice without seeing you first."

Hey everyone, I actually have a quick question for you all—well, more like I'm looking for some advice... :-))
If anyone could recommend a female gynecologist? Ideally someone in private practice... provided they're actually good, obviously 🙂
So, yeah... thanks, ladies! 😉

Dr. Jane Smith (over in Chicago)

I've been seeing her for years now and, honestly, I've had nothing but positive experiences. 🙂

I have been patronizing her establishment for years now, and I can say without a shred of exaggeration that my experiences have been nothing but positive. Is it really so difficult to find such consistency in service these days? Certainly not. 🙂

I once reached out to inquire about something... I had intended to visit her personally, but instead, I was met by her female assistant over the phone. 😱
It feels cold to me. 😲

Does anyone happen to know of a reliable female gynecologist in the city who doesn't work in private practice? 😁

and she sounded kind of cold 😲

Wait, were you talking to her or her sister?

The sister can definitely sound 'intense,' 😁 but honestly, that's just the first impression. 🙂 It actually scared off one of my friends when she went in for an appointment. 🤣

Personally, I think my doctor is great (and the nurse too 😁). I don't really care if my doctor is overly 'sweet' or anything; in my experience, there was zero coldness there. If anything, she’s incredibly patient. (When I was struggling to get used to birth control, I probably called her three times a day out of pure paranoia 😬). The nurse will sit with you after the exam and explain everything until you're satisfied; I mentioned before that she actually used to draw diagrams on paper for me back when I was eighteen and constantly badgering her with questions 🤣 😍

As for the 'scary' sister—underneath that slightly 'macho' exterior, she's actually a jokester. She isn't cold at all. 😁
