The OB-GYN clinic over at the university hospital is actually decent—really solid, actually—but that one nurse? Absolute nightmare. I’m telling you, she is so incredibly incompetent it gets under my skin every single time I go there. She manages to create her own chaos—just constant, unnecessary rushes—which means even if you have an appointment, you’re sitting there waiting for two hours because she can't get her act together. If you’re planning on going, do yourself a favor and book the earliest morning slot possible so you’re the first one through the door.
I honestly can't even remember the names anymore, though—it feels like every 90 minutes a new face walks through the door.

and her colleague Romana Dmitrovic is just as great 👍 🙏 🙏 🙏 😍

As for Dr. Latin, I’ve only ever heard glowing things; my sister actually went to her for prenatal care 👍
Romana Dmitrovic 👍 was someone I used to visit back when she was practicing over in Siget. Once she left 😢. Wait, is she seriously seeing patients at the Vili Clinic now?

That woman is so spectacularly incompetent that she gets under my skin every single time. She somehow manages to create her own chaos, resulting in two-hour waits even when you have a scheduled appointment! It’s maddening.

Ugh, that nurse is just the absolute worst!! Honestly, she’s both dim-witted and incredibly rude. I remember the first time I went to the gynecologist there—she prescribed some specific vaginal wipes for me, and I showed up expecting to actually sit down and have a conversation with the doctor. Since, you know, it was my very first time and I didn't understand a single thing about the process! Instead, the nurse just shoved a prescription in my face and called it a day. She didn't bother explaining *why* the doctor ordered them. When I finally mustered the courage to ask why, she actually laughed right in front of a crowd of people and said, "Can you believe she's asking why?" Unbelievable. I am never stepping foot in that clinic again... anyway, does anyone know a good gynecologist in Chicago? Preferably a woman, if possible.

You ever hear that story about the nurse over at some local community clinic? Apparently, she looked at a woman who had just come in to pick up her Pap smear results and said, right in front of the entire waiting room, "Oh honey, you’ve got an entire animal kingdom going on in there..."

Can someone please recommend a good gynecologist? It doesn't matter if they're in private practice or take my insurance, or if they're male or female—I just really need someone who actually listens to their patients and is attentive.

Thanks in advance!

It’s honestly such a shame we don't have a dedicated thread for gynecologists here.😢

Is this some kind of joke? A "warm welcome" for the mod after she gets back from vacation? Seriously? 😁

my first post...

Does anyone know a decent gynecologist in Seattle who’s actually taking on new patients?

My guy is at the barbershop in downtown Chicago—my mom keeps insisting it’s better to go to a male barber because they're supposedly more careful, but whatever. It's free there. If you're going to a man, you should stick to the older ones. They've seen it all and they're just solid guys.

🤣
So, you finally recovered from your own death?

👍

But hey Jacob Moore68, who's running things over at the old precinct now? Did Kincl finally call it quits and retire?

Brandon Wells712 said:Has anyone here actually dealt with Dr. Latin Visnja??? I met this woman who was raving about her so much that I’m seriously starting to consider it 🙄. Apparently, her office is always slammed, so now......give me the real scoop on her!!

Look, I’ve been seeing Prof. Latin for years now—she actually handled my pregnancy—and honestly, the lady is just phenomenal. She does your exam, and then you actually get to sit down and have a real conversation, you know? You can ask her absolutely anything and she’ll just give it to you straight, totally down-to-earth and blunt, without all that medical jargon nonsense... It’s totally normal behavior considering how much other doctors look down on her, even though everyone raves about her work, but yeah, the waiting room is always packed. If you decide to go to her, just be ready to wait at least half an hour past whatever appointment time you booked, and once you're finally inside, expect to spend another thirty minutes there too... Basically 👍

He's gone—thank God, honestly... they finally showed him the door.

Raič is in charge there now, and he's actually pretty decent...

Jose Miller3 said:He finally bailed! He's gone, peace out, about time too.

Well, if Dr. Miller is there now, then it’s totally fine.

Alright, fine, maybe I'll actually go then. I never really saw anything from that Dr. Kincl guy but ... back when I was pregnant, I was seeing people privately and needed a referral for the Mayo Clinic, so my husband basically "signed me up" with him and handled all my paperwork (by the way, the pregnancy was absolutely perfect). He asks for a referral, the doctor just glances at the files and goes—"looks like premature labor, get ready to head to the hospital early." 🙄
And he was spot on! I went into labor four days ahead of schedule. 🤣
After he gave me that diagnosis, I didn't even want to step foot in that place again, so I did everything through private doctors. But hey, if this Dr. Miller is decent, I might just give it another shot (last time I stopped by my GP, I noticed they finally renovated the OB-GYN wing).

Look, I’m fine with it. If they’re somewhere in their early 40s, you can actually have a real conversation—they’ll walk you through what’s going on and why, without being patronizing... I mean, if they just gave me some vague "wellness" buzzwords instead of actual clinical expertise, I’d rather just go hang out at the park than see someone who spent 15 years in medical school 🙄. Honestly, to me, it all comes down to respect. As long as there's that, I’ve got nothing but good things to say about him.

Seriously, for those of you heading to Dr. Ljubojevic’s office—and everyone else...

So, I'm hunting for a new OBGYN near downtown and I actually took your recommendations for Ginoderma seriously. I head over to their website to check them out, right? I find the page, click it, and boom—the giant main header says:

Gynecology obstetrics dermatology and venereology

And get this—it’s written the exact same way in the contact section too.

It just felt... off. Like, did someone hire a freelancer to build this site who had zero clue how to spell basic medical terms? Or are they so checked out that they didn't even notice their own massive typo? It’s like walking into a high-end steakhouse in Manhattan and seeing "Steek House" glowing in neon on the front window. You just kind of pause.

How much do you guys actually rely on websites? Does stuff like this weird you out as much as it does me?

Look, I’m still going to go see them because I trust the word-of-mouth reviews more than anything, but I just had to vent about this.

Well, I’ve finally finished reading through almost this entire thread... it took me about three hours, give or take. 😲
My general impression is that Dr. Latin over at the Vili Clinic is a solid choice. I previously saw a doctor out in the suburbs, but since that was my first time ever seeking medical advice, I can't quite say if she was harsh or not. 😬 She ended up referring me for a color Doppler ultrasound.
Does anyone happen to know what the standard charge is at Vili just for that Doppler scan?

Also, could someone please clarify what the acronym CIN actually stands for?
