Frank Campbell2, you’re totally hitting the nail on the head regarding the whole Dora situation... I mean, major props to every doctor out there, but honestly, I feel like there’s way too much cash changing hands in this industry. Personally, I see Dr. Magdić over at Mercy Hospital using my referral, and so far, I haven't had to shell out a dime—not for a colposcopy or any other exam... well, obviously except for the HPV stuff. I've been on the same treatment for four months now, just crossing my fingers for a full recovery. One time while I was waiting my turn, I ended up chatting with this woman who had Dr. Magdić clear up her CIN III in just five months, and now she just sticks to regular Pap smears. I’m headed in for my check-up soon, hoping for some better news on my results. The only real bummer is that she’s retiring in about a year... and man, I have no clue where I'm going to go after that. If you happen to know a solid doctor who handles HPV patients through insurance referrals, please let me know... I would be so incredibly grateful.

So, I’ve been doing some deep diving—reading through reviews, scrolling endlessly—and I think I’m actually starting to warm up to Dr. Latin over at the Vili Medical Center.
Maybe I just missed it while I was scanning everything—which, let’s be honest, happens to me more often than I’d care to admit—but I couldn't quite pin down the exact address for that clinic.
Could someone point me in the right direction? I need the address and a phone number... and if anyone knows the drill regarding wait times or how much they charge for a standard check-up (like a Pap smear and an ultrasound), I’d really appreciate the intel.
Thanks a million.

As for me, I dealt with my own mess with Dr. Sherman over at St. Jude's. I went from CIN1 to CIN2 and now I'm back to CIN1 again. I was actually supposed to go in for a biopsy because he spotted some changes during the colposcopy, but I got pregnant, so we're putting that on hold for now. He scheduled me for a follow-up in three months to run another Pap smear, and we're pushing the biopsy until after I give birth. Honestly, Sherman is awesome—super sweet, easy to talk to, and really gentle. He sees patients every Wednesday at St. Jude's, but you definitely have to call ahead to make an appointment.
What kind of treatment are you on?
Have you ever heard of those Biobran tablets? They cost an absolute fortune, but man, they boost your immune system like crazy.

So, I’m kinda wondering why it’s such a big deal to get an ultrasound done just 2 or 3 days after my period ends? That’s what my doctor told me, anyway. I really need to get this scan finished so I can finally start my medication, but I just can't seem to swing getting to the clinic within that specific 2-3 day window. It's been so tough! If anyone here actually knows the science behind why the timing matters so much, please help a girl out? Because if I have to wait until next month every single time I miss this window, I feel like I'm never going to get this sorted.

Right now I'm using Herplex tablets, Herplex cream, and those Klimicin vaginal suppositories... I think that's what they're called. I haven't heard of those specific tablets you mentioned, but I picked up an Aloe Vera syrup from a wellness shop and I've been sipping on that lately, since everyone told me it’s great for giving your immune system a little boost. I haven't done a new Pap smear yet, but I'll probably get one scheduled in the next few days to see if anything is actually working. If not, I guess I'll give those tablets a shot. How much do those tablets run you? And which treatment did you end up going with?

Please accept my apologies in advance for not having combed through the previous pages.<
I find myself wondering about something specific. When you go to a pharmacy to pick up vaginal suppositories, is it possible to get them without a prescription? If so, which ones can be bought over the counter?
My primary care physician was unwilling to write me a prescription, then one pharmacy refused to sell them to me without one, yet at another location, I was able to purchase them quite easily... I am feeling rather perplexed by the inconsistency.
Is there perhaps a pharmacy in the greater metropolitan area where I might walk in and simply ask about over-the-counter options? I would prefer not to continue wandering aimlessly through this fog. Until I manage to switch gynecologists, I have no desire to step foot in his office again.😢
Thank you!

Does anyone happen to know Dr. Stefanija Zatezalo over at 24 Strossmayer Avenue in San Diego?
What’s her deal? Is she on welfare or something?

My doctor didn't give me that Herplex stuff. Looking it up, it seems like it's specifically for Herpes. It looks like we aren't even dealing with the same crap, since HPV is the thing that's currently killing me. My doctor prescribed the Klimicin vaginal cream for me. Besides that, I take these Biobran tablets—you don't need a prescription for them and they run about $107 for a pack of 50. I take two a day. On top of all that, I got some herbal tea for vaginal rinsing from an herbalist, plus some Aloe Vera syrup and some purslane syrup. My CIN levels actually dropped from 2 down to 1, but I've stopped using everything for now because I'm pregnant.

Actually, Herplex is used for HPV too. What do you think her doctor intended when they prescribed it for a cold sore? 😁

My GP wouldn't give me a script, one pharmacy flat-out refused to sell them to me without one, but then another one just handed them over like it was nothing... so now I'm totally lost, right?
Is there any specific pharmacy in the city where I can just walk in and ask for them without a prescription? (I really want to stop playing these guessing games...) Honestly, until I find a new gynecologist, I am absolutely not stepping foot in that guy's office again.😢
Thanks!
I've never needed a prescription for any of them, honestly. But seriously, how on earth are you supposed to know which ones you actually need? They aren't all made for the same kind of issues, you know?

Daniel Lopez said:She’s freaking out about HPV too, so what kind of crap do you think her doctor gave her for that cold sore on her lip?😁
Listen, honey, herpes can pop up on your lady parts too, okay?😁 So I just assumed she got the stuff for that...
I actually looked up the therapeutic indications online, and there isn't even a single mention of HPV anywhere.

Hey there! So, I just went through EVEYRY single post—and it turns out exactly 55 gynecologists have been mentioned for the city area (no more, no less!). Holy cow... that's a lot!🙄
Someone asked why I don't go to my mom's doctor—well, my mom actually just told me to find someone else because the guy she sees is absolutely terrible!
And from what I've experienced so far, I went to one lady who was a total nightmare!!!!!!!!😈
Most of you were suggesting private practices—the ones getting the most shout-outs are: Harni and Gudelj, besides those random mentions in the local papers, then Latin (over at Vili Clinic), Husar (in the downtown area), Mazelin (the Eljuga clinic), and Fistonić (on Preradović Avenue)—just a ton of them!
As for the non-private options that people seem to prefer: Čurić (at the University Hospital), Chedid (near Trnje), Podobnik (at Merkur-Zajčeva), Wahid (also near Trnje), and Pavlek (judging by a few posts, they're in Peščenica)
On the flip side, here are the ones you all say are definitely NOT for us: Topalović (getting a lot of heat over at the University Hospital), Grujić (from the Zvijezda private group), Gregov (at the University Hospital), Mador (DEFINITELY—zero positive vibes here), Marčeta (in Dugave), and Kovačević (in the downtown area); plus KONRAD NIŽETIĆ, Dropulić, and Banović
So, that’s not everyone you guys brought up, but it covers basically all the heavy hitters!
I still have no clue where I'm going to go.... 😕
Cheers 🙂

Has any of you ladies actually seen Dr. Zahi Khouria before?
Or maybe someone here has experience with the specialists over at the Mayo Clinic?
Thanks. 🙂

I just heard this story yesterday about a girl who had been going for regular checkups at her doctor's office for years, only to end up being diagnosed with cancer because her HPV wasn't caught in time.

HEEEEEELLLLLLPPPP!!!
I'm planning to see Dr. Miller privately—I haven't been back in about a year, but I'm heading there next month.
My primary care doctor has been Dr. Smith for years, though she’s just never really felt like the right fit...
Since I’m going to have to run a whole mountain of tests, I’m going to need referrals.
The thing is, Dr. Smith barely gave me one referral last year—she was pretty condescending about it because I mentioned I was seeing someone privately (which would have saved me $67 on the total cost).
I get why she'd be annoyed—honestly, I probably would be too—but isn't she legally required to provide those referrals upon request? I'm not exactly swimming in cash, but we're having some trouble conceiving... I trust Dr. Miller's clinic, so I'm stuck. What should I do?
I'd love to switch to a different doctor, but specifically just to get the paperwork handled without needing full check-ups.
Does anyone know a physician where I can just be upfront? Like, tell them I'm seeing a specialist privately and I'll only be coming in occasionally for referrals or prescriptions...
I heard there might be a Dr. Wahid over at the Trn City Clinic who's okay with that?
Please help!

At the Dr. Eljuga Medical Center, you will find Dr. Mazurin handling consultations, while Dr. Eljuga personally manages all surgical procedures. Since his wife is a specialist in breast health, you can access top-tier, comprehensive care all under one roof. Furthermore, their pricing remains quite reasonable for private practice services.

Among those who aren't private but were listed as better options: Čurić(University Hospital), Chedid(the suburbs), Podobnik(Merkur-Zajčeva), Wahid(suburbs), Pavlek(judging by a few posts—the East Side)
As for those you say are totally NOT for women: Topalović(lots of negative feedback—University Hospital), Grujić(Zvijezda private), Gregov(University Hospital), Mador(ESPECIALLY—zero positives here), Marčeta(Dugave), Kovačević(downtown); KONRAD NIŽETIĆ, Dropulić, Banović
Anyway—that’s not everyone you mentioned, but those are roughly the most talked-about ones!
Still have no clue where I'm going to go.... 😕

I seriously have to tell you guys about PODOBNIK and what he did (or rather, failed to do) to a friend of mine, and later it turned out he did the same to another person. This friend went to him for years, regularly—at least twice a year for checkups. Her dad wasn't perfect (based on how much she understood things) over the last four years, but the famous Podobnik would always tell her whenever she expressed any concern: "Oh, it's nothing, everything's great, you're young, you're healthy, nothing to worry about..." But it kept eating at her, like she felt something was wrong. So she went to a different gynecologist, this one ran tests, sent her for an HPV test, and it turned out she was positive. They did a biopsy, and it was CIN III—they told her she'd been dealing with it for a long time....
And that same Podobnik made the exact same mistake with another acquaintance (who later found out she had the same doctor) and who ended up needing a LEEP procedure or whatever it's called... SO, ladies, if you want to know about Podobnik, take everything bad you hear about him.
