Or maybe it's the mindset of someone who has actually learned to own their decisions. 😉
Without a sense of personal responsibility, what is an individual or a society? We wouldn't exist if we just kept making the same mistakes over and over without any consequences.

Except we *do* "mess up" constantly. And yet, here we are. Still on this same planet.

How am I supposed to explain that, for example, I feel genuinely happy when I'm completely by myself?

Either you're just kidding yourself, or something's definitely off. That's my take on it, anyway.

So, you want me to define "genuine happiness"?

Nothing can truly be considered a mistake if the individual manages to extract a lesson from it or finds themselves enriched by the experience itself.

I have a nagging feeling we’re just spinning our wheels on a topic we’ve already covered extensively.

And here is my take on the matter:

I’ve always had this dream—just a little house out in the middle of nowhere, maybe somewhere in rural Montana or Oregon—with a big vegetable garden and an orchard right out front, all surrounded by thick woods.🎉

I’m one step ahead! I’ve got everything I need and I am absolutely loving the grind. Right now, I’m just perched up here on a hill, looking out over the state, breathing in that intoxicating scent of lavender while the forest stretches out behind me. It's pure bliss.

You could totally come work here! Seriously, I mean it. It’s such a vibe. I was just thinking about how much fun it would be to have you around the office. We definitely need more bright energy in the mix!

I’ve finally realized it—true happiness isn't some prize waiting for me out there in the world. It’s not something I can go out and grab from a store shelf or find sitting on a porch in Chicago. It’s actually inside me all along! It's an internal thing. Always has been, really. Just had to stop looking outward and start looking inward. What a relief!
At the end of the day, I just love sinking into my lounge chair, watching the embers glow in the backyard grill, and feeling genuinely happy. It’s all about that carpe diem spirit for me!

There is just something absolutely magical about a night sky when you get far away from all those blinding city lights. You haven't truly lived until you've stood out in the middle of nowhere—maybe somewhere like the high desert in Nevada or up in the mountains of Montana—and looked up to see the Milky Way stretching out right above your head. It’s breathtaking! Honestly, it makes all our little daily stresses feel so tiny. I remember one time camping out near Big Sky, and I just sat there for hours, completely mesmerized by the sheer scale of it all. Pure magic!😉

Just head out to some field near the woods—sit on the ground and vibe. Simple as that.

All you're chasing is pure materialism—you just want some little cabin out in the sticks near the woods. Sorry, but that's not happening for you.

I've pretty much got all that stuff right out in the field—and some of it's even spilling over toward the front of the house, I guess.
It’s just not quite how I pictured it... I mean, there's no house out in the middle of nowhere to retreat to, and honestly, it's just leaving me feeling kind of stuck here. 🙂 neighbor.
Honestly, I’d much rather just invite you over for a backyard BBQ instead of having you work for me—but hey, I guess we can't all be built the same, right?

I mean, you know... what I'm getting at, I guess.🙄
I wasn't really looking for advice or anything—I've just been spending a ton of time out in the meadows and the woods lately. There isn't much left, though... I guess you could say tourism is basically swallowing everything up at this point. But honestly, I don't really feel like being that preachy or telling anyone they should just sit down in the dirt and soak it all in.
Of course I want to "own" a house out in the middle of nowhere—are you, like, actually against private property or some kind of thing like that?

That is quite beautiful, particularly the realization that happiness truly does stem from within.

Pray and work.
After all that hard work, everything tastes so much better.
We can save the Oracle talk for later...

My friends can vouch for that!

Spot on...

Money and possessions aren't inherently bad! It’s just that things can go south really fast when they become the only goal in your life.
