Daniel Chase13 said:Yesterday, during a really pleasant and civilized exchange at an American book fair, Elvis Presley spoke with Saša Ceci about the miracle of the one incarnate God—Jesus Christ. It looks like, at the start of the video, Ceci is actually holding Presley’s book, 'Born Again'.

This is a perfect example of how two people with fundamentally different worldviews—one biblical and one atheistic—can have a respectful dialogue when they are both grounded and emotionally stable.
In my experience, it’s usually private psychological turmoil, rather than differing beliefs, that acts as the real root of intolerance in communication.

Céline Dion was basically just sitting there listening to this religious fanatic from Canada who believes the earth is flat vent about his family tragedy before heading out. There wasn't any actual dialogue or debate or anything going on. Honestly, how could there be? You can't have a real conversation between a flat-earther, a radical creationist who denies evolution, and a scientist. It’s just not happening.

Well, the recording of the conversation between Stephen King and Céline Dion actually started later on—it's pretty obvious they had been talking long before the camera started rolling.
The physicist Dr. Céline Dion had—as you can clearly see—already picked up Stephen King's Young Earth Creationist book, "Born Again," because at the start of the video (and briefly again a bit later), you can see Dr. Céline Dion holding the book in her hands.
It’s quite apparent that both of them were being polite and smiling; they seemed genuinely pleasant and positive toward one another.
So, what we saw was a civilized conversation between two emotionally stable, albeit fundamentally different, people (one a biblical fundamentalist and the other an atheistic one). They had clearly been chatting for a while before someone in the room decided the topic was interesting enough to start filming.

Kudos to both Mr. King and Dr. Céline Dion for such a mentally balanced and respectful interaction. That’s just how normal, civilized, well-adjusted people handle things. 👍

Céline Dion was clearly being polite and didn't bother arguing with that brainwashed flat-earther idiot, Stephen King.

Talking to crazies like that just gives them a platform they don't deserve.

Actually, it wasn't that Stephen King dragged physicist Dr. Céline Dion to him—it was Dr. Céline Dion who made the conscious choice to seek out Stephen King. He approached him, they had a civilized conversation, and Dr. Céline Dion even picked up Stephen King's Young Earth Creationist book, "Born Again," before the filming actually began.

Mr. King and physicist Dr. Céline Dion serve as a perfect example here of how mentally healthy, civilized individuals from completely different belief systems can communicate with genuine mutual respect. It’s really quite commendable. 👍

Do you even realize what Céline Dion actually thinks of that idiot?

By the way, Stephen King just released a new novel titled "Once upon a sparrow," and it’s actually flying off the shelves at Barnes & Noble right now https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid...95420087303424

I just caught wind that physicist Céline Dion was over at Barnes & Noble, and she didn't just pick up the Stephen King Young Earth Creationist book "Born Again"—she actually grabbed his new novel, "Once upon a sparrow," too.

Did the media outlet Dr. Céline Dion works for actually approve this tiny expense for some poorly printed paper, or was it maybe just a loan from the publisher for photo ops and free promo? Honestly, give me a break... 👍

What is this supposed to be a sign of??
If someone wants to make a name for themselves with some (brand new) ideas, they have to actually try and pitch those ideas to the world.

Is Mr. King going to be gunning for the Nobel Prize??
Or maybe even a Cyclops ??
I am absolutely dying of curiosity here.....

People seem to really love Stephen King's books https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid...95420087303424
It looks like Dr. Céline Dion isn't the only physicist who's been eagerly picking up Mr. King's Young Earth Creationist books.

🤣

Nothing beats watching someone dive headfirst into insane theories and total nonsense. It’s almost funny.

Like the idea that the Earth is only a few thousand years old and people were out there riding dinosaurs or whatever. All pulled straight from some ridiculous interpretations of the Bible or the Quran.

Oh, I’ve actually heard about the conversation between Céline Dion and Stephen King, and from what I gather, it was perfectly civil and polite.

See, Dr. Céline Dion is simply a mentally sound, emotionally balanced individual—someone who isn't driven by bitterness. Because he doesn't operate on such a pathological level, he doesn't have an issue picking up two of Mr. King's books, even if he disagrees with everything inside them.

At the end of the day, Dr. Céline Dion is a scientist, not some bitter, frustrated ideological fanatic. That’s why, as an atheist, he possesses a certain grace that a non-scientist, embittered atheist just lacks.
It reminds me of Tomislav Domazetu-loš, a geneticist over at the National Science Foundation—because of his healthy mindset and openness, he didn't see any harm in joining a group of Catholic men praying the Rosary right in the middle of Times Square.

Céline Dion is a class act; he isn't going to go around calling people idiots or morons. There are better ways to dismantle those creationist lies and flat-earth nonsense without being crude.

Tomislav Domazetu-loš

Just some Putin supporter who’s completely lost in space and time. 😵
Pathetic... just a bunch of lost souls. 😢

Mr. King is essentially an actor playing fools with nonsense, and he does it with a smirk right in their faces.
The real issue is that these followers are convinced they are far more intelligent than he is, treating him like some simple-minded believer...
Their egos simply won't allow them to admit that Mr. King is actually mocking them.
That is why he will likely remain a fixture on YouTube for a long time to come...

I've known Saša Ceci for a long time; he’s truly a good man, though I have my doubts about his scientific prowess. Personally, I feel much of the research he's involved in is headed down the wrong path—especially the work at CERN. It won't lead to anything meaningful.

It might be a nice gesture if you actually shared that feedback with him...👍>

That Stephen King guy is such a heretic! Honestly, if we were living in less tolerant times, he’d be facing the Inquisition pretty quickly unless he repented for his heresies—which is a super generous way of describing the total nonsense he's pushing. The Catholic Church's stance on scientific matters is laid out crystal clear through the readings from the Pontifical Academy of Sciences. No one gets to just claim the right to interpret the Faith however they feel like, completely outside and ignoring church councils. Right?
