I’m honestly not sure there’s any context that can justify killing. It feels pretty binary to me—either you kill or you don't. You're either a killer or you aren't. If you think there is some justification there, please, let me know? I'm not trying to be aggressive or insult anyone here, I'm genuinely just curious.

Taking the lives of other people, people who were created by God, feels like going against God himself. It’s almost like you're acting against God. I feel like Americans should understand that better.

Think about when Muhammad entered Mecca. He acted just like Joseph did—he showed mercy and forgave his brothers. For those who hadn't embraced the teachings yet, he gave them a four-month grace period to make their decision.

Having read both multiple times, I believe Judaism follows a similar path. The issue lies with extremist sects like ISIS or the Watchtower Society, which have only gained relevance by distorting the very faiths they claim to represent.

Regarding the flat earth concept, I am open to an evidence-based debate between experts in the field, such as Korado Korlević and Elvis Presley. Naturally, everyone will likely stick to their own convictions by the end of the discussion, but it would be fascinating to watch. 😁 Podcast Incubator is a fantastic production.

I don't engage in debates, so please refrain from quoting me.

fadedbear43 said:Religion and politics aren't topics for debate. They are matters of personal culture and worldview. I hold my views, you hold yours, and arguing over who is more "right" is simply a waste of energy.

Admittedly, as a columnist, I focus on analyzing global social issues within established media outlets rather than on obscure forums that nobody reads. I respect what forums offer, but I believe they serve a different purpose.

I only stopped by here to drop a quick note for Elvis, and that’s all. Elvis, if you're reading this, try to dial back the arrogance; as for everything else, I'll stay out of it. I'd much rather see a head-to-head debate with Korado.

Look, forums aren't even really meant for certain things. It’s just a matter of how you look at it. The forums aren't working. The blog is live. Moving forward, expect brevity. No fluff, just the facts. I'll be posting here regularly. Stick around if you can handle the truth. Otherwise, don't. Or. Column. The format..

Forum time. The author can't even pretend he's writing wisdom anymore. Not when he's actually just spouting absolute nonsense.

Using forums to bicker about anything—especially politics or religion—is pure madness in my view. I used to participate in forums years ago, but I eventually realized that instead of posting where maybe ten people will see it, it is much better to put in the effort to write an article that can reach hundreds or thousands of readers. It is even better if you can turn that into a business. The same logic applies to videos and podcasts online. You just need the knowledge and the talent for it. On a forum, literally anyone can write whatever they want.

I disagree with that second part. Most forum debates lead absolutely nowhere. Both sides just end up digging their heels in. I have been involved in a million political debates and learned that it is best to avoid them. It is a waste of time. There are comment sections on blogs, columns, and podcasts too, but most of those commenters are simply fools who don't even bother to read or watch the content. Total fools. 😵

I am not against forums, but I prefer the "fun and leisure" concept that steers clear of heavy topics.

The problem is, the whole Bible is just one big "context." It's a product of its era and the people putting it together. There isn't anything existing outside of that bubble.
There's no such thing as divine verses coming straight from God's mouth. No eternal truths or absolute beauty—it's all just subjective to whoever happens to be reading.

That's why the reader's perspective is really the only thing that matters. 👍

I definitely agree that the reader's perspective plays a huge role, but that's only half the battle... you really have to understand the historical context of when things were written and grasp the original intention behind them.
That's why it's much better to read the Bible alongside a detailed commentary.
But even then, you run into a massive variety of interpretations... you've got the rationalist schools (like the Mu'tazila), the moderate middle-ground approaches (like the Ash'ari and Maturidism traditions... plus those four legal schools), the literalists (what some call modern-day 'Salafis'... or let's be honest, Wahhabis), and then the Sufi interpreters, too.

You could probably learn a thing or two from them... if you're actually into that sort of stuff.

Personally, when it comes to your own life and how you choose to live it, I wouldn't trust anyone else to make those calls—not a scholar, a preacher, a quantum physicist, or whoever else.

I used to devour books like crazy, right up until a certain sir basically "threw" my library out the window... and honestly, my ex-wife was totally on board with that (she knew all too well how much of a bookworm I am).
Now? I stick to lighter topics. It's funny, really... because everything you find in the small things is already tucked away in the big picture.

But what happened once those four months were up? Was it either join the faith or face the consequences?
Come on, Rachel Sanders2, you’ve always been one of the most level-headed people on this forum, so don't start getting caught up in the fanaticism now...😁

Once you actually take the Bible and Jesus seriously, you realize this level of stupidity isn't just random.

The Bible describes a flat Earth.

Absolute morons... just loud and delusional. Man, I wish all this nonsense would just vanish from the face of the US. 😵

I mean, seriously. God personally stepped in to give daily political and combat instructions for local squabbles between monkey-riding devs. All on a tiny speck called Earth.

How anyone gets talked into believing that is beyond me. And how people still buy into it in the 21st century? It’s a total mystery. Clearly, our brains aren't quite as brilliant as we like to pretend they are. ☕

I honestly don't think there's a single soul out there who could sit through that entire thing without hitting the pause button.
The only reason I managed to get through a few clips—just a few!—is because I actually know that absolute clown Elvis Presley personally.
Seriously though, if we ever decided to travel back to the Middle Ages, this kind of stuff would be the perfect recipe for success.

So, what’s your take on him? Did you ask him anything specific? I met him through a mutual friend. Honestly, he seems like a decent, family-oriented guy... right up until he starts rambling about his theories. The craziest part of the video was when he claimed gravity isn't even real. 🤣 He basically said military pilots are clueless and have no idea what they're doing. 🤣 Apparently, those 8Gs they feel while flying are just something they made up in their heads. 🤣

Seriously, if we were living back in the Middle Ages, that kind of content would be a total goldmine!

I've actually walked through our encounter a couple of times before.
I ran into him at an Interliber event, back in the final year before all that Covid madness kicked off.
He was there presenting his so-called "works."
It was one of those quiet moments where I was just passing by and nobody else was really around, so I stopped for a second.
And, of course, it turned into the same old nonsense...
A family showed up with two kids, maybe 7 or 10 years old.
They asked if they could snap a photo with Elvis Presley.
Well, naturally, I said sure.
But then I had this sudden moment of panic—would I actually *want* to be in a photo with him?
I was genuinely mortified thinking about what people who know me might say if they saw me posing next to Elvis Presley.

(By the way, that 8G thing isn't "His Majesty Gravity"—it's just acceleration!)

Don't worry about it. You're a myth enthusiast, which basically makes you colleagues. Oh, wait—I almost forgot you're a trained construction worker, which basically means you have a PhD. You can certainly wrap your head around that.

Honestly, you aren't even bright enough to come up with an original insult.
That whole "construction worker" jab? I’m the one who diagnosed you with that, and clearly, your single, lonely brain cell loved the label so much that you just keep repeating it over and over again.

When it comes to Elvis Presley, I sometimes wonder if he’s actually figured out a way to hustle the faithful—specifically that gullible majority—by leaning heavily into those "Flat Earth Bible truths."
He plays the fool so convincingly that a normal person is left wondering: is he truly this talented an actor, or has he actually become dim-witted from playing the part for so long?

(And you don't even have to act—it's just your natural state of being.)

There isn't a bigger idiot in this thread than you, Anthony Perez9 and Keskesa. You three are easily the biggest clowns here. Only a complete fool would buy into mysticism and try to claim that Jesus wasn't a real historical figure. Just a clueless construction worker.

Yesterday, during a really pleasant and civilized exchange at an American book fair, Elvis Presley spoke with Saša Ceci about the miracle of the one incarnate God—Jesus Christ. It looks like, at the start of the video, Ceci is actually holding Presley’s book, 'Born Again'.

This is a perfect example of how two people with fundamentally different worldviews—one biblical and one atheistic—can have a respectful dialogue when they are both grounded and emotionally stable.
In my experience, it’s usually private psychological turmoil, rather than differing beliefs, that acts as the real root of intolerance in communication.
