It’s pretty wild how they have absolutely nothing on their site. No terms of service, no pricing, no nothing... just a total void.

Here they are: www.joompay.com/terms

The links for fees and privacy policies are tucked in there.

Funny how they’re basically just reselling someone else's service...

Sure, but look, that’s exactly what PayPal was designed for—letting others offer services through the platform.

That’s precisely why the top-up fee is 2% rather than anything lower.

From what I can tell, topping up your EU credit or debit cards doesn't cost a thing (that 2% fee only hits the EU commercial accounts and anything from outside the EU).

That’s what it says, but I have no clue what it actually implies since my top-up for a Premium beer cost me an extra 2% in fees.

I ordered a card that's supposed to be free, but the catch is you have to top up $10 first—which stays in your account to spend.
But apparently, I got hit with a 2% fee on that transaction.

Which card are we talking about, and whose Google BIN is it? What’s the IBAN look like? Also, what kind of currencies can you actually hold...

It’s possible they’re having trouble recognizing that this specific card is from the European Economic Area, much like how PayPal struggles sometimes. Have you tried using a more "traditional" American card instead?

It’s a standard Visa prepaid debit card out of Lithuania.
The IBAN is Lithuanian.
As far as I can tell, you can just hold Euros, and that's about it.

I haven't, but I did transfer a few bucks from Venmo (the minimum is $5) and there was no fee.

What exactly do they mean by a commercial card?

Business cards—you know, those ones companies hand out so employees can cover work expenses. I don't think being a business card should automatically mean it’s strictly commercial, but there really ought to be some clear labeling on them. By the way, Chime hits you with a fee when you top up commercial cards. It's all because issuers are legally allowed to charge higher fees on those than they do for your personal stuff...

Aha.
So, I’ve got my virtual card set up, and the physical one is currently being processed. The problem? I can't add it ANYWHERE.
Chime says it's unsupported. Venmo keeps throwing errors. Money won't take it. And on my Debit card, I can't even add a new one, despite having already deleted an old one.
Anyway, great.

The Cookie notifications on iOS are finally working properly... I'm getting alerts for both incoming transfers and regular messages now. 🙏

Has anyone actually combed through their Terms and Conditions? I'm wondering if it counts as a major violation to open two separate Cookie accounts and just transfer money from one (card) to the other? Over the last couple of days, I’ve moved the maximum amount allowed by my limit ($4,000), and so far, they haven't flagged or blocked me—fingers crossed it stays that way. 🤣 I set up one account on one phone and the second one on another, but since both are under my legal name, they can clearly see it's just me sending money to myself. At this point, the only way to play it is to pretend there are just two different people who happen to share the exact same first and last name, lol.

So, how long have you actually been doing this? A month? I mean, there's a $2,000 daily limit 😁

It doesn't strike me at all as the right way to use this service, and honestly, JP Morgan Chase might react by just freezing your account entirely.

I only ever use it to shuffle money between my own accounts at different banks just to dodge those transfer fees. I'm definitely not using it for credit card cash advances or anything like that.

I wasn't even transferring funds from credit cards; everything was just moving between my own debit accounts. Honestly, this is such a lifesaver because the money moves from my primary JPMorgan Chase account to any other account instantly. If I had to do it any other way, I’d be stuck waiting several days and getting hit with extra transaction fees on top of it all.
