I’m posting here because I see many of you offering solid advice, and I think I could use some myself right about now.
To give you a bit of context, I recently found myself in a pretty toxic situation; my previous employer was essentially bottom-of-the-barrel, though looking back, I think I know exactly why things went south.
The guy was cheating on his wife and involved in all sorts of shady business that I happened to be aware of, so I suppose it was in his best interest for me to leave—except he made it incredibly difficult for me to actually resign.
Ultimately, I had to quit just to preserve my own sanity, as the psychological abuse became more than I could bear.
Everything might have turned out fine if the pandemic hadn't hit and completely derailed my plans.
I was weighing an opportunity over in Germany against staying here in the States, but because of my family, I decided to stay put and look for work locally; however, with everything shutting down during the lockdowns, work has been incredibly inconsistent.
I’ve been working for five months now, but my average income hasn't been great, hovering around $4,000 total over that entire period.
Now I find myself in a spot where I’m falling behind on my Chase credit card payments, I'm lagging on my Diner's Club bill, and I'm already dealing with an existing limit at my bank along with some old personal loans.$600/mo.
Basically, I urgently need a loan or some kind of financial lifeline to settle these debts; does anyone have any suggestions or solutions?

Thanks, everyone.

How much of a delay are we looking at, and how much more time do you realistically need?

I’m about two months behind, and I really need to secure $30,000$0.00.
So, looking at a $15,000 limit, maybe $7,000 on a credit card, and another $8,000 elsewhere.
With $30,000 in total needed, I suppose the question is whether there's actually a bank out there willing to approve that.
We’ve finally hit a steady rhythm with work, so my average monthly income should bump up to around $5,500 over the last three months.
I was thinking about reaching out to someone like SoFi or perhaps a similar loan broker.
I really want to avoid ending up in a spot where my accounts get frozen or I end up defaulting on payments, which would be a mess.

Do you have Online Banking set up with the bank where your payroll goes? You might be able to apply for a Chase quick loan online for up to $5,000.

Honestly, your best bet is just walking into a branch; you could probably walk out with the cash by the end of the day.

I suppose it’s going to be a bit of a struggle for me to pull that off, given that I still have four years left on my current loan, with monthly payments of $667.
To be perfectly honest, I think getting approved for any kind of credit right now might just be an impossible task.

How much of that do you have left? Are we talking 48,000?
You could always head down to JPMorgan Chase to look into refinancing, if you're feeling particularly ambitious about your debt. $33It’s on a 12-month installment plan. $300.

Actually, no, I’ve still got about 4 years left at $667, with roughly 100,000 left to pay off.
The real issue is that I'm currently on a fixed-term contract; I suppose I'll eventually get a permanent position, but unfortunately, things feel a bit urgent right now.

It looks like I’m not going to be able to get this loan sorted out, so I was wondering if there's any kind of card I could apply for right now and actually get approved for immediately?
I currently have a Diners Club and a Visa from Chase.

Thanks

Just a little nugget of wisdom that might actually come in handy for some of you.

Over on Reddit, there’s this specific subreddit borrow
where people essentially lend money to one another. My advice? Give it a shot—but for heaven's sake, don't go walking in there asking for
massive sums of cash, especially if it's your very first time requesting anything. (There are rules, unfortunately; you have to be a Redditor
for a certain amount of time and maintain a minimum karma threshold before you can even ask for something like that—we're talking about a 90-day account age and at least 1,000 karma points.)
Anyway, just thought I'd pass it along—might be useful to someone.

I mean, a Bank of America is a Bank of America, right? You gotta go where it's safe.

If anyone out there is in a position to help me out financially, please reach out. I’m looking to clear some high-interest payday loans immediately just so I can get my credit score back up enough to qualify for a standard bank loan. I can have the money back to you within six months.

I'm in the exact same boat, honestly. If there's anyone willing to lend a hand—don't worry about the interest, I'll make it worth your while—I just really need to get my head above water right now. :/

Actually, I think I’m the one who could use a little guidance here, if anyone is willing to lend a hand.

I'm someone who also ended up stuck with those online loans.
If anyone would be willing to give me a private loan, maybe reach out? I’ll definitely pay it back with interest and everything verified. Thanks.

Look, I’m willing to share the details, but if it were me, I probably wouldn't mess around with these types of lenders. Generally speaking, they require you to own a vehicle and ensure you aren't a business owner... or an executive.

"Unsecured loans up to $45,000 / Personal loans up to $50,000 $0.00.
Must be employed (min. 3 months). Retirees up to age 82.
We help clear outstanding debt from Goldman Sachs. We don't look at your FICO score.
With a car title loan, you keep your car! (It's all legal)!
No co-signers or insurance policies required. Tomislav 555-012-4642"

I know a guy... he helped me sort out my loan at Chase Bank.

The loan actually had nothing to do with my car. They just asked for pay stubs and an employer verification, then the money hit my account... totally legit.

It seems a bit weird, doesn't it? That he’d turn away people who actually own their own businesses?

Yeah, they actually asked me if I owned my own company too... honestly, it feels like they're just looking to squeeze us employees, who knows... They even went as far as asking if I had any legal liens or frozen accounts. Apparently, they can pull some shady moves through certain local credit unions to shut things down... Thank God I'm clear, haha.
