There’s always other ways to handle deposits or withdrawals anyway (and at the end of the day, you can just use cash at the register).

So this was the response I got when I asked about the Louisiana Lottery:
Dear Customer,
due to the transition to the new currency, our partner's system may currently be unavailable. We hope to have the service back up and running as soon as possible.
You can check which partners are currently available via the PayPal app.
Thank you for your understanding. Best regards.
Seriously? I could have figured that out myself. "Currently unavailable"—well, duh, that’s why I’m asking! They should've told me *when* it'll actually be back. And "we hope to..."? Give me a break. Don't act like some random third party; YOU are the ones running the show, so you should know what's going on and tell the customer. I can do the "hoping" part on my own, thanks.
Good grief.

Maybe ask them again if you think they'll actually give you a straight answer. 🤣

ironcyclist58 said:Has it actually shown up on the recipient's end? I sent some money through PayPal the day before yesterday and it still hasn't cleared. Not sure if it's a glitch with PayPal or if the person just hasn't checked...
ironcyclist58 said:Everyone else does it too; they’re legally required to...

a) based on the bill date
b) the barcode itself specifies the currency
c) or maybe something else entirely.
And specifically, if it's option B—do those online generators spitting out barcodes now default to USD, or are they still using old rates? (I don't recall seeing the specific currency listed next to the amount).
I mean, I'm curious, but probably not enough to go down a massive rabbit hole researching it myself.😁

There isn't really a cap on how many times you can pay in a row, so you could technically hit the same spot multiple times, as long as each payment is at least 1 USD (through December 31, 2022 $3.25).
The only thing that might get a little "awkward" is if you show up with a massive pile of those tiny nickels and pennies; honestly, most retail clerks aren't exactly thrilled about dealing with a ton of small change. 😬
