The old spec, the new spec.

The standard doesn't give you a choice in currency—you can't just swap in dollars or whatever. Under the old spec, it's USD; under the new one, it stays USD. The old rules run through June 30th, after which they won't accept any more legacy orders. Every generator should have updated by then, though some probably haven't...

B) this one works

Does Cash App not issue transaction receipts?

If you look down toward the bottom left corner of your screen, you'll see the list of your recent transactions, and from there, you can simply select the specific one that requires your authorization.

🤣
Come on... just try it, and actually read what that confirmation is.

It clearly states:
This document serves as an acknowledgment of receipt for a payment order.

That is NOT a confirmation of a COMPLETED transaction.

It’s just a document proving they received your request to make a payment,
so this "document" isn't actual proof that the funds were sent.

Why would they even issue these instead of actual transaction receipts???
It's honestly pretty weird.

You can request it—just hit up customer support. You'll get a confirmation from either Chase or your partner bank, depending on who handled the transaction.

Word is they're working on letting you pull actual confirmations directly through the app. I guess getting an official bank confirmation integrated like that is a bit more complicated, especially since they're dealing with a bunch of different major banks...

You think I should just send it to some other Venmo account instead?

That's why last summer the Department of Homeland Security in Miami rejected my Cash App confirmation. I had to go through email to get them to issue the actual receipt from Chase. Once I did that, it went through. I ended up emailing them two or three times asking them to just add a feature where you can download the real confirmation directly from the app.

Well, I'll admit, I didn't study the fine print very closely myself.

But, truth be told, it actually came in handy for me just the other day; I had two bills that weren't showing up as paid in their system, and once I emailed them those confirmations from Cash App, they had everything updated and cleared within a few hours.

I’m still totally lost here—for that generator (you know, for the bill), am I supposed to put the amount in dollars or... what, euros?

Is it actually legal to hand over my Revolut card to my sixteen-year-old son? I was thinking about letting him link it to Google Pay so he can just tap through his trip to Rome without lugging around a massive wad of cash. Would he run into any trouble paying abroad using a card registered in my name?

If I remember correctly, you should be able to set him up with a Revolut junior account.

Honestly, just set him up with a Revolut Junior account in his own name. Not that anyone really checks the name on the card anyway—especially when you're just tapping your phone at a terminal. It's fine. 😁

There he goes—finally got it installed. He’s been pacing around waiting for this moment like it was his wedding day. Now, we just play the waiting game for about ten days until the physical card actually shows up in the mail.

So, I tried to drop about $160 in cash ($377) at a local convenience store tonight, and the lady behind the counter just flat-out told me she couldn't take it—only Euros. Is that actually how it works now? Or is she just being difficult?
