I mean, if my PayPal is already linked to my Chime account, how does that actually work?
Like, I’ve got a PayPal account set up specifically to pay for HBO.
So when it comes time to pull funds out, am I supposed to manually select Vegas?
Or does the transfer just happen automatically straight to Chime?

My bad, I totally mixed things up. I was actually thinking about refunds.

Looks like you can finally grab e-vignettes for seven different countries directly through Venmo now.

The most important thing is, they don't include Italy
. I guess that's just how it goes.

Don't hold your breath. Unless they start selling Zepter, I don't see much point.

Exactly. Using Venmo makes the Vignette ID more expensive.

My transaction for $4 just got declined at the register, and my attempt to top up my PayPal failed too—even though I’ve got $45 sitting on the card.
What the f

Everything went smoothly for me yesterday. Maybe just some temporary glitch?...

Could be. I sent an email to support, so we'll see what happens.

And those transactions don't even show up on Venmo (not that I have any clue if they even track failed ones in the first place)...

Can't see anything

Anyway, I successfully loaded that $50 onto my account at a 7-Eleven yesterday.

I’m not a fan of carrying cash.

The deposit went through without a hitch.

But today? My card is getting declined like there isn't a single cent in the account.

Still nothing? You might want to double-check your card limits or see if it got locked for some reason...

It worked.
I pulled the funds out of PayPal
Nothing was locked up at all.

Even more importantly... Italy doesn't use highway vignettes.

Precisely; it seems every single vignette carries an extra two-dollar surcharge supposedly to cover "online verification" fees.
Whatever that actually entails remains a mystery to me.

Greetings to everyone hanging out on this forum!
Quick question for the group: Is there any way to dodge taxes on freelance income if you're using Venmo?
Let’s say someone is pulling in about $1,000 a month, and they have those funds sent directly to their Venmo account, then they just use the Venmo card to pay for gas, grab snacks at a convenience store, or cover other small expenses.

I wouldn't count on it. You could try flying under the radar, and there’s a chance you might pull it off, but if you get caught? It’s going to be quite the spectacle.

Why don't you just move to Germany, do that job there, and let us all know how much easier life is without paying taxes? 🙂

Reminder for Venmo: April 1st is right around the corner for Zelle 😁
Go ahead, cheer us up. Give us something to look forward to.

Honestly, I don't even bother with it anymore; I just use my Chase app to handle all my utility bills.
The routing and account numbers stay exactly the same, so you just copy them over once into your saved payees and you're set! All you have to do is type in the amount from your statement each month. Or, better yet—and this is the real pro tip—if the bill is a fixed amount, like your Verizon wireless plan or your trash collection, just set up an autopay. Then you never have to lift a finger again!
Here is a quick look at how I set mine up:

Yeah, so you end up paying the bill through something like Venmo, and then the following month you’re hit with an even larger invoice because the company had to swallow a processing fee just to handle an international transfer 🙂

Unless, of course, that doesn't even apply anymore now that we've fully integrated into the single currency system?
