Jack Carter88 said:Take a look at the card; it’s likely that the document has already been processed. From what I can tell, that "in progress" status seems to be applied to everything—it shows up on documents that are finished just as clearly as those that aren't.

If you click the status icon (on the right side of the document table), it should refresh to show the actual updated status.

And honestly, regarding how long this takes? Some IRS agents take a whole month just to get through it! 🙂

Also, there was some confusion about the tax form status—it won't flip to "processed" until the tax return is fully verified, which usually doesn't happen until around September under normal circumstances.

I just need someone to confirm if I’m reading this correctly—has the obligation to file those quarterly statistical reports for LLCs (the 1-3 month, 1-6 month, and 1-9 month ones) actually been scrapped?
thanks

🙏 There’s no longer a requirement to file this, though I suppose some people might still find it relevant for their business operations.

Has anyone actually attempted to submit it?
Can you do it through a Goldman Sachs card? Or is a physical visit to the Goldman Sachs office required to hand over the media?

I tried using my Goldman Sachs card, but it keeps flagging the signature as invalid. After poking around the Goldman Sachs site for a bit, I've come to the conclusion that submitting via the card might just be impossible altogether.
Is that actually the case, or am I just completely losing it?
Honestly, I really hope it's the former! 🙂

So, I gotta ask... maybe I’m just totally tripping here. I called the IRS about transferring my overpaid corporate income tax over to my sales tax balance, right? And they're asking if I ever filed that statement explaining how I want to use the extra credit. But here's the kicker—I already sent it electronically as an attachment to my tax return! Now they're all insisting that wasn't an option online and telling me I have to physically bring it in myself. What even is that...

I actually got mine in last Friday. I called Goldman Sachs beforehand to double-check the process. Turns out it's handled just like those standard SEC filings—you do it right through the card. Everything went smooth for me and I got the confirmation instantly.

Technically, you can file it online, but their systems often glitch when downloading those specific attachments, so they end up demanding hard copies just to make their lives easier.

What’s the move if I messed up my VAT return on the IRS portal? I swapped two lines... everything looks fine logically so the system accepted it, but the numbers are wrong... Can I just file a correction, or do I have to call them to void this mess? On line V., the screen shows one thing, but once I print it out, it says something totally different—that's how I caught the mistake. Basically, under "amount paid to date," I put $0.00 when I should've copied the amount from section IV. Now it looks like I owe the entire tax amount again. Is this gonna be an issue? They aren't actually gonna charge me twice since I already settled everything back in July, right?

If the sales tax has been processed, you'll see it reflected on your business credit card statement. My take—regarding what’s actually paid versus what’s still owed—is that they’re going to debit or credit your account based strictly on their own internal ledgers, regardless of whatever numbers you type in.

It's honestly kind of ridiculous... we try to send stuff digitally, but they just can't seem to process it. Anyway, I ended up dropping everything off in person. Man, I was really starting to dread that extra walk over to the IRS building...

A lot of this really comes down to the individual case worker; everyone is still finding their footing. I’m hopeful that within a year, the whole system will be running smoothly.

I tried it today. Did everything exactly the same way, and it worked fine. 🙂

You just need to submit an electronic business request through the official portal.
Once you get the confirmation email, you should be good to go...

Is this actually true? Nobody has replied yet.

I just picked up my digital certificate from Goldman Sachs—it's on a USB stick.

I haven't installed it yet, but I'm about to.😁

Do I really need to go down to the IRS to set up my online tax account, or am I right about how this works?

If the certificate holder is the authorized official for the business it was issued to, then all you have to do is register through the e-filing application.
If the certificate wasn't issued directly to the business owner (say, it's for an accountant, an employee, or someone else entirely), then you’ll need to visit the local IRS office with power of attorney forms to get officially authorized to work.

That’s perfect, thanks!😁

Could you please help me out,
I'm trying to figure out what specific parts of my year-end financial statements I can submit through this online portal,

I am already aware that I can upload the sales tax filings, various tax forms, and membership dues documentation...
But would it be possible to submit the balance sheet and the profit and loss statement, along with the multi-year loss overview and the advance payment declarations?
Or am I stuck having to make a trip down to the local branch to deal with the clerks in person...

You can turn everything in online—no more trekking down to the local FBI field office, like we talked about before. The main thing is you have to file the tax return first. Once that’s done, you'll have the option to upload all your supporting docs along with it, such as yearly loss breakdowns or statements regarding prepayments. For those who specifically need the cost of goods sold or the balance sheet (which you can pull from QuickBooks, but still...), I'm pretty sure that's all doable digitally.
The only thing you can't send electronically is a chocolate bar—you're going to have to deliver that one in person.😉

I just updated my Java version and now it won't sign any of my forms...
Is anyone else running into this?
The IRS site hasn't been responding since yesterday—not sure what happened there.

I have meticulously completed the entire sales tax return, and although the system confirms that all entries are perfectly valid, it insists upon error when I attempt to finalize the submission, claiming that the document lacks a digital signature 🤷. How can a form be validated as correct yet simultaneously rejected for a missing authentication step?

You actually need to put a minus sign (-) in the notes section of the sales tax form.
I was busy filing everything for my clients using their power of attorney, but for some reason, I couldn't sign my own paperwork. After a pretty frustrating phone call with the IRS help desk, they suggested I try doing exactly what I mentioned above, and once I did, I was finally able to sign and submit the form without any trouble. Of course, from the perspective of that grumpy lady on the help desk, it was somehow all our fault.

What is the point of them even being there? They might as well just play cards and sip coffee from 7 AM until 3 PM before heading home, telling everyone else to just pass the work to someone else.🤣

edit: I eventually resolved the issue caused by the digital signature unavailability. It turns out I had made a blunder within the dialog box options; I mistakenly selected "block" instead of "don't block," which is where the entire mess originated.🤣
