IRS and Tax Filing Issues

So, I finally got my certificates from the Fintech agency, set up the USB drive, registered for the IRS portal, the whole nine yards...
I can see all the tax forms on the IRS site, including instructions on how to fill them out and submit them, so there's no confusion there.
But what's the deal with Goldman Sachs?
On the Fintech app, I can't find where to actually complete and electronically file that specific report. 🤔
...all I see is "my profile" ("User Data," "Issuance," "Reissue," etc.), but that's it.
I just don't get where the Goldman Sachs section is; it really should be straightforward. 🤣

Nata and I were wrestling with Oracle and digital signatures all day today. Honestly, just uninstall Oracle and grab a fresh version. That update provided by the IRS keeps throwing errors at us. I eventually managed to sign the forms by just ignoring the error messages—basically clicking "No" when things went sideways, though I was praying the system wouldn't just crash entirely 😬
Good luck, let me know if it works for you.
Satena, go to the IRS website, hit business entities, then look for RGFI in the bottom left corner 😉

There’s really no need to jump onto the newest java release. Honestly, just uninstall the latest version (that 7 V21 mess which likely installed incorrectly) and stick with what you have right now (7 V17). Give your computer a quick restart and ignore any prompts to update again. Unless, of course, you're looking for more headaches...

The issue lies entirely with Java; this latest version behaves suspiciously like a Trojan horse. macOS flags it as a massive security risk if you attempt to run it, whereas the previous iteration of Java didn't trigger any such alarms, did it?🤣
Dealing with the IRS is an endless cycle of frustration.☕

You're being a bit much, 😳
Where were you while I was out here struggling? 🙂
So, I guess I really need to get my JavaScript sorted out properly tomorrow, huh? 😢
Who knows what kind of mess I've made of things today. 🤣

The form data is all correct, but every time I hit SIGN, I get this error: "Failed to validate certificate. The application will not be executed."
Does anyone actually know what that means? I called technical support, but they were completely clueless. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling JavaScript (version 7/21), but even during the JavaScript verification step, I just get that same "Failed to validate certificate" message over and over...
My apologies, I just noticed the post above. I rolled back to the previous version of JavaScript (7/17) and everything went through perfectly without any issues.

I just updated to the latest version, but now I can't find this 7V17 one anywhere...
Could someone please drop a link for me? Much appreciated....

I have spent quite some time reading through all the various threads regarding technical issues on this forum, but I find myself struggling with a different sort of hurdle altogether
Every single time I attempt to log in to the IRS website, I am met with a persistent error message right after clicking the sign-in button
The page simply refuses to load
•Please verify that the URL https://www.irs.gov is correct.
•Try searching for the site using a search engine.
•Wait a few minutes and then try refreshing the page.
•Ensure that your TLS and SSL protocols are enabled. You can check this by going to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Security Settings
Has anyone else here encountered this specific glitch, and if so, did you manage to find a workaround?
I actually sent an email over to the IRS office late Friday afternoon, but since they were likely wrapping up for the weekend, I haven't heard a peep back yet, which I suppose is understandable given their schedule
Also, looking ahead, if I can't get this digital headache sorted out, is there any way for me to just file my sales tax return in person at a local IRS branch using physical paperwork? I am a newly registered small business owner and a first-time quarterly filer, so I am still trying to navigate how everything works

I own a dormant LLC. When I tried to file my tax returns for 2012, I was told that because the business is registered for sales tax, they can't accept paper filings... Since getting the necessary certification will take some time, it looks like I won't hit the filing deadline. I definitely plan to de-register from sales tax, but not until January 2013. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this...

A business can't just be "dormant" in this context.

Hey, it's April 28th, 2013... you're running a bit behind schedule.😂😂😂

If you know someone with the right certification, just give them power of attorney (tomorrow, the 29th). They can get all the tax filings and paperwork submitted by the 30th, and then you won't be late.

I am so sorry, but I’m a bit lost—which part specifically is in the middle?
every time I try to hit the login button, I just run into that same old error message again, telling me the page simply won't load

Didn't you see this pop up earlier?

I don't really know anyone with a digital signature... 😢 By "inactive," I just meant there are no employees or any business activity happening...

Ultimately, it all comes down to the specific clerk handling your file; there is always room for an exception if you play your cards right. But if you hit a wall and they refuse to take it, don't just sit there. Roll up your sleeves and head down to the local IRS office tomorrow to hand-deliver that electronic card application in person. If you move fast enough, you might just manage to get your IRS access activated by the April 30th deadline.
At the end of the day, submitting something late is still miles better than not submitting anything at all.

I agree, there isn't much choice... 🙂 Since my agent agreed to accept the supporting documents with the tax return, I just hope they don't nitpick too much over those few days of delay. Regardless, thank you for the help...

It looks like they don't have an open portal for entrepreneurs to submit forms within the sales tax system. Your only real shot is through the IRS e-file. If anyone here has dealt with a different setup, please share—I could use the info.
