"Crypto device support is not ready. Please verify that the correct crypto device support is installed."

I’ve tried installing every version of Java under the sun, swapped between IE, Mozilla, and Chrome, even went as far as disabling my antivirus entirely, but nothing works! It’s just the same frustrating loop over and over...

What about an active client?

Just download this and run the launcher... it'll check if you actually have everything required installed...

Look, if you're one of those people dealing with issues on Windows 7, there’s actually a way to fix this mess:

So, here’s the deal—there are basically two different versions of the WebSecTechDll.dll file floating around. One is strictly for 32-bit
operating systems, and the other is the 64-bit version that works alongside the first one.

- For 32-bit setups: You need to make sure WebSecTechDll.dll is sitting right in the \Windows\System32 folder
- For 64-bit setups: The 64-bit version of WebSecTechDll.dll goes in the
\Windows\System32 folder, while the 32-bit version needs to be tucked away in \Windows\SysWoW64

That DLL file is on the fin installation CD that David Parker44 linked earlier.

Here are the direct links if you don't want to go hunting:

For 64-bit Windows: http://speedy.sh/mZ6jN/WebSecTechDll.dll
For 32-bit Windows: http://speedy.sh/f5mbk/WebSecTechDll.dll

I tried to file my sales tax paperwork today, but I noticed their system is still running on the old rates—they haven't even updated it to reflect the new 13% bracket yet.
Is anyone else actually able to get their filings through, or am I just having a nightmare with the IRS website?

...maybe plug the crypto device or the USB smartcard reader into a different USB port? Anyone got a clue...

I've had my fair share of fights with customer service at both the IRS and the Treasury. "Ping pong" doesn't even cover it. Eventually, they just nonchalantly told me to reinstall Windows... that day, I was busy "getting intimate" with Maja Blagdan and Jelena Rozga at least 73 times... luckily Mišo Kovač didn't cross my mind... just wipe everything and take it slow with the installation... if that fails, try older versions of Explorer and Java... for example, on one computer of mine, the ActivClient app from the IRS site wouldn't work... after endless reinstalls, I grabbed the app from the Chase site and that actually worked... not to mention how the Treasury had issues with the new Java version over the last month, so I blocked the installation for a while (not sure if it's still an issue, but my Java is still blocked)...

I submitted my payroll report to the IRS for full verification over an hour ago, and I’m still just sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for them to clear it.😢

My aunt mentioned at 8:00 AM that she’d look into it and let me know what the holdup is. Apparently, I’m not the only one dealing with this mess, so if anyone else is stuck in limbo, just know you aren't alone in this headache. 😁

So, I just turned in my payroll and tax forms back on January 15th, and now—total fluke, really—I’m glancing at my Chase account and noticing something weird. Neither the deduction nor my actual deposit from the 15th is showing up anywhere on my card statement. Has anyone else run into this before, or does anyone have a clue what might be going on?

Did you use the correct payment references? Like, those newer ones?
Then again, if you actually used the wrong ones, the payment would probably just show up under the "old" references anyway.

Is it possible you accidentally entered the wrong Social Security number, causing the error to ripple through both the tax filing and the bank transfer?

Everything's back to normal now... I ended up logging out to go tackle some other stuff, and when I finally hopped back on, everything was right where it should be—thank God!

I’m not entirely sure if this topic has come up before, but I’m sitting here writing this out of pure desperation and sheer nerves.

I was told that I absolutely HAVE to use Internet Explorer just to manage my Chase bank account. I’ve been using Chrome without any issues for ages, but when I recently had to renew my subscription for another year, all those security certificates suddenly reinstalled themselves onto IE.

I honestly don't even have the words to describe how much I loathe Internet Explorer, so I wanted to see if anyone else has managed to dodge this curse🙂 and if so, how did you do it?

Do I actually have to manually transfer all these digital certificates? It’s such a massive headache...

And honestly, it creates this whole mess where if I'm working on my tax filings and then try to switch over to online banking after unplugging my security key, the system won't recognize the certificate, and I end up having to reboot the entire computer just to get back online.

Look, there’s zero need to transfer anything. Personally, I never have to restart my PC; I just close out all my browser tabs and start fresh. My only real issue is when my signal gets weak, which causes those annoying "page not found" errors. Does anyone happen to know a way to boost my connection?

I need some help here!!
I’ve been trying to sign up for the IRS website, but I keep getting this error saying registration isn't possible right now. Since this has been happening for two days straight, I'm starting to think I'm clearly doing something wrong on my end.
Can one of you experienced folks walk me through how to set up an account for the first time?
Thanks!!!

Hey, I could use some eyes on this too. Anyone here actually checked if their monthly sales tax filings have been processed yet?
Mine’s been stuck in "pending" for two weeks now... kind of weird, right?

I actually spoke with an agent at the IRS today, and she told me they can't even verify through their system whether a specific filing has been submitted yet. It sounds like their internal software is acting up again. A client of mine came by looking for documentation needed for a government contract bid, and since the agent couldn't see our status on her end, I had to manually email over the confirmation showing we filed everything for January.

My January sales tax filing hasn't been cleared yet either....
It’s honestly a relief to know I'm not the only one dealing with this lag; I was starting to worry I'd messed something up on my end...🙄

I just checked today and saw mine isn't processed yet either. I was actually sitting around waiting for an IRS agent to call me because I thought I'd messed up a couple of cents again.

Hi everyone!
Can someone please tell me what I should do if I’ve already filed my tax return, but then realized I missed some information? I’m planning on heading down to the IRS office with a new copy and the number from the one I already turned in. Has anyone dealt with this before? Will they accept it that way?
