The digital certificates definitely weren't working—I checked. My client actually had to head down to the local Bank of America branch because payroll wouldn't go through, and the teller told them it’s absolute chaos over there right now since the system crashed and the certificates are blocked... I honestly don't know how you managed to get those payments through, but none of my clients using Chase have been able to. Since most of them are newer companies, they probably have more recent certificates... maybe that's where the glitch is.

It wasn't working for me either. My contact at the bank mentioned the exact same thing—just a total system outage where nothing would process. And it’s not even like we're some brand-new startup; the company's been around since 2007, and our certificates aren't exactly outdated either.

Everything was running smooth for me 😁 except for a little hiccup this morning—but once I updated Java and moved JPMorgan Chase over to the secure pages, everything’s been working perfectly...

Hehe, come on—you’ve definitely got a little something going on over at JPMorgan Chase, just admit it! 🤣

Everything's finally moving today, and those paychecks from last week finally cleared...😁

How many of us are still stuck running Windows XP? The IRS actually tried to be helpful by rolling out the online filing system, but now Chase is just slapping us with more fees.

JPMorgan Chase isn't forcing anyone to do anything.
Microsoft pulled the plug on support for Windows XP, and they did it to protect users. Banks and all those other big institutions have been sounding the alarm for a while now, giving everyone plenty of heads-up to switch over to a modern OS.

It was Microsoft's call to start investing in newer, more secure tech and basically tell the old stuff it's time to retire.
The banks are just following Microsoft's lead to make sure their customers' data stays safe.

Honestly, this article is absolute nonsense. Since the beginning of the year, we’ve been getting sporadic notices from our banks letting us know that Windows XP support was ending and we needed to get ready. So, we did.

The reporter really should have done some actual digging here. For instance, Hypo banka has also been warning its customers for quite some time, and I'm pretty sure every other major bank is doing the exact same thing. Even the IRS will eventually follow suit. This whole "end of support" thing for Windows XP is just a transition period—they even explicitly said that in their official notice.
Clearly, the journalist didn't bother reading.

So, I just install it normally without any extra tweaking?

I currently have subscriptions active on accounts 2003, 8109, 8400, 8443, and 8559. I’m looking to transfer those over to my "new" accounts: 2283, 8168, 8486, 8508, and 8630. Could someone please walk me through the process for doing this?

Just draft up a formal request to transfer everything and drop it off with your agent at the FBI.

Just double-check with your caseworker first to make sure all the tax forms were actually filed—you wouldn't want the credit to be stuck because of missing paperwork... since overpayments on payroll taxes are pretty rare.

Do they actually send out an email from the IRS before a certificate expires?
I tried to file my paperwork today and got hit with a notification saying my certificate had already expired. I didn't get a single heads-up—no email, no nothing. Just totally blindsided.

Yes, I did receive an email alert about a month before the expiration date.

I haven't seen a thing. Not even the executives have received anything, which feels super sketchy to me.
So, I guess I’m stuck waiting until Monday to give them a call.
This has never happened before; usually, the email hits my inbox without fail. 🤔

To whom it may concern;

I find myself unable to access the ETA ledgers, as I am repeatedly met with the following notification;

Error retrieving Tax Accounting Ledger. Please try again.

Same thing is happening to me. Been stuck for a few days now... probably gotta wait until tomorrow when someone at the office realizes some idiot stayed late after the holiday party and accidentally unplugged the server while looking for an outlet to charge their phone before heading home... maybe...

I had already begun to suspect my Windows were completely fried. 🍿
