So, James Gunn is set to direct this one, and he’s bringing in a whole new squad—we're talking Idris Elba, John Cena, and Michael Rooker... Honestly, I feel like this flick could actually be a step up from the first installment—which, for what it's worth, wasn't even that bad in my book...

I thought the movie was great, but I'm really missing Jared and Will Smith. It feels a bit weird changing things up once they finally got going... well, anyway... who knows what kind of "heroes" or villains they'll throw in next? I don't know much about the DC crew, I just follow Harley Quinn, and having Joker there was nice eye candy.🙂 ...

My interest in watching this for free online is a zero out of ten.

But I have one genuine question stemming from a critic's take—and I’m glad it’s coming from a woman. Why was the discourse surrounding the Joker movie centered on "white male rage"? Why wasn't it framed as "white female rage"? Why is violence viewed as a sign of impotence and fury in one instance, yet seen as liberation in another? Is the underlying message that achieving emancipation through killing white men is perfectly acceptable, while there's no such thing as Joker finding emancipation through violence? What's the actual problem here?

Is anyone actually going to weigh in here?

Look, this movie is a tiny bit better than Suicide Squad, but let’s not get carried away—that’s not exactly a glowing review. It’s super messy, full of these random, dumb scenes that don't need to be there, and the tone is just... weird? It tries this non-chronological thing with a narrator during the first half, and honestly, the action everyone keeps raving about isn't even that great. I mean, it’s decent enough, but logically, it makes zero sense almost every single time. Instead of just shooting the main characters, they decide to get into fistfights with them—which drove me absolutely insane, though I guess you can try to ignore it. Still, that kind of stuff really bugs me in movies.

And don't even get me started on that final act people love so much; it was a total disaster for me. I actually liked the movie better when it was wandering through all those different subplots and characters—at least then I was wondering where the story was headed. But the end? Just boring, mindless action mixed with those "girl power" moments that honestly make me want to gag.

The absolute highlight—and I mean the *only* convincing part of the whole thing—is Ewan McGregor and his henchman. They are insanely funny, and every single scene they're in is pure gold. If only the movie had just focused on them instead of these silly women I couldn't care less about.

It feels like Huntress could have actually been something special. She had potential because she's so socially awkward and just doesn't know how to act, but she's barely in the movie, so she doesn't really impact anything.
Margot Robbie, I don't know... I think I'm just kind of over her at this point.

Don't bother sticking around for the post-credits "scene."

Bottom line: the movie is mediocre at best. It's fun in spots, but mostly just meh.

The movie is genuinely fun and incredibly well-paced. The fight choreography and action sequences, in general, are top-tier—they really grab you and are a total blast to watch. Surprisingly, I didn't find Harley Quinn nearly as grating as I expected, though out of the whole bunch, Dinah Lance was definitely the one who resonated with me most.

The soundtrack is great, even if it feels a bit heavy-handed or pretentious in a few spots. All things considered, it’s a highly entertaining ride, sitting right up there with Aquaman and Wonder Woman.

It’s not looking so spectacular for Warner Bros.’ Harley Quinn movie Birds of Prey opening weekend, which is seeing a Friday of $12.6M (including last night’s $4M), and opening weekend around $33.5M. Finance sources prefer to wait until overseas figures come in to determine whether this net $84.5M production is in the black (some argue with me that it’s much more). At $33.5M, Birds of Prey is under tracking’s $50M-$55M projection and under what Warners was hoping for, which was $45M.

It's way worse than those other two movies—seriously, if you weren't even feeling Wonder Woman, you should probably just skip this one entirely.

Finally watched a total disaster of a movie recently. This was rock bottom. Honestly, I haven't seen anything this stupid or boring in a long time! 🍿

And to top it all off, she’s got that super annoying, overstretched expression on her face, courtesy of Margot Robbie.

Whatever. Honestly, the only thing that kept me awake were the scenes with Black Canary. She was seriously hot. 🍿
