Anyway, when I first heard she was getting her own lead role, I was totally stoked. Now? Not so much. It feels kind of dull and over-the-top, like she lost that spark and sarcasm that actually made me laugh. Maybe it's because she cut her hair. 🕺

I still don't get why Poison Ivy isn't in this. 🙄
Honestly, it’s probably better to just stick to the DC Comics animated series. She's completely unhinged there and hangs out with Ivy all the time—usually by wrecking her apartment whenever she loses it. 🤣

Personally, even Momoa couldn't get a good review out of me; the movie was just plain boring. It feels like Thor and all those other ones are kind of just for kids, you know? Now, I actually liked Suicide Squad because of the cast, and obviously because of Harley Quinn. I hadn't seen her before that, but I totally fell for her character. She had me laughing until I cried in SS. Plus, I really dig her romance with The Joker, even though everyone loves to hate on it. To me, he’s the most interesting part and fits her perfectly. I really don't see the issue with his acting, either. Every Joker has had their own unique vibe, so calling his a disaster seems like a stretch...
I'm honestly bummed they won't make a movie where he plays the main villain, just so I can see what other layers he can bring to the role.😢

Look, you have this list of movies coming out in 2020 and it isn't exactly rocket science to figure out what they're about or how they'll turn out.
None of them seem worth throwing $13 away, I guess. I can probably just wait two or three months and watch them at home.
If some massive blockbuster like The Avengers or a new Superman happens to drop this year, then yeah, maybe I'd feel differently.

But isn't the whole point of going to the theater to see a movie in that cinema atmosphere? That's where movies belong.
Personally, I skip the older stuff and don't bother watching them at home; I'd rather wait for a screening at those cool indie or alternative theaters...

Plus, you can always go on a Wednesday and spend way less than $13 (I still have my student discount, so it doesn't even matter that much to me), and you can pick a time slot where you can knock out 2 or 3 movies back-to-back. You basically get multiple films for the price of one ticket. 😉

Oh, and sure, because obviously American movies are the only ones that exist and the only ones hitting theaters this year. 🙄 We actually had about ten interesting titles come out in January, some American and some international. Though, let's be real, most were just leftovers from 2019. 😛

And hey, it's totally fine that The Avengers and Superman are usually such unpredictable, high-quality films. Especially Superman.

Just watched it, and I have to say, I’m more than happy with how it turned out!
It’s just a straightforward superhero flick packed with action and plenty of laughs, honestly carrying a pretty similar vibe to Suicide Squad, which I think was exactly what they were aiming for—and despite what the critics might say, the movie actually did quite well at the box office...

There’s nothing groundbreaking here, but it’s solid popcorn entertainment and a nice way to unwind after all those heavy Academy Awards contenders we’ve been discussing over the last few weeks... 😁

And yeah, it definitely ranks among my favorites from DC Comics, even though I feel like their movies aren't nearly as bad as the critics make them out to be, especially when you consider how much people tend to overhype Wonder Woman and Shazam...

Does anyone know if there’s an HD stream out there? I’ve been checking everywhere, but I can't find anything online—not even a crappy CAM version yet. 👎

A little? So like three months? Just like how long I had to wait for Maleficent and The Lion King... ugh!

The movie was fine, I suppose, though it certainly had room for improvement. I feel like they could have leaned much harder into the humor; it’s there, but perhaps not as effectively as it could have been.

And that woman with the crossbow is just 😍.

I actually found this movie pretty entertaining. Honestly, one of the better/more interesting flicks from DC Comics out there... 👍

Aaaaaaaa, it’s finally here! The quality isn't exactly top-tier, but hey, I'll take it. It's the perfect vibe for Saturday—I'm planning to marathon Suicide Squad for the fourth time, and then follow it up with Birds of Prey.🙂🙂

If I ever strike it rich, I'm calling Jared to come film my lead role as The Joker. I'd definitely cast Margot too, plus Poison Ivy...👍

Just like I suspected, this movie was a total letdown 🤦
It feels like a kids' movie. Her whole backstory is pretty meh, the characters lack depth, and where did all that edge go? They completely changed her vibe... they totally missed the mark on how she's supposed to be. There’s zero explanation about why she and The Joker split up, either. And honestly, what was that guy holding Black Canary hostage thinking? Claiming half the city belongs to him and he’s gonna take the rest? It makes no sense.
Isn't The Joker supposed to be the big star here? Or did he just fall into a funk too? 🤔
Anyway, I wasn't feeling it. All that chaotic energy she used to have is gone; now she’s just tacky and basic. She acts like any girl would after a breakup, instead of getting even more unhinged. She basically turned into a chicken
The circus scene was easily the most boring part—just a bunch of random people running around aimlessly...

I totally lost it watching that movie—the humor is just on another level! 👍

What was so funny to you? Nothing really stood out to me...
Last night I rewatched Suicide Squad and that's where I actually got a good laugh because she played her part perfectly—you know, that chaotic energy mixed with a total social butterfly vibe 😁I love how her voice gets all raspy when she raises it. She’s super blunt and doesn't hold back, and honestly, you definitely don't want to mess with her, especially if you're busy fixing your hair 🤣

In Birds of Prey, she felt kind of meh to me, just ordinary and boring. She was such a badass when she first got out of prison and wasn't hanging around Joker, but in this one, she seems weak and pathetic because they broke up. It makes no sense; it's like she's only tough when she's with Joker, as if he had anything to do with her attitude in those two movies

For me, the funniest part was when she hid behind the cocaine and then just snorted it all up to make that pile 🤣

The rest of it... 🤷 was just junk

Fair point, but I was thinking more about the chaos—like when she takes in a hyena, hacks off her hair in a fit of rage, swaps out her whole wardrobe, tosses his necklace, obsesses over that orange outfit, cries, and rips his picture right off the wall.

She didn't blow up their meeting spot; they just fell in love there. Unless, of course, the factory happens to be right next to the prison, since they met while she was "treating" him in jail.
