I recently picked up a clone of an iPhone 4, and honestly, I have to say, it’s performing surprisingly well considering it’s just a Chinese knockoff.
Now, I’ve been wondering: is it actually possible to run the mobile banking apps from JPMorgan Chase or Bank of America on this device? Does anyone know if these services will work given that it isn't an official iPhone, or perhaps there's a way to improvise—maybe by finding an app designed for a different phone that offers similar functionality?

If it supports Java applications, you should be good to go.

Does anyone know if the folks over at JPMorgan Chase are planning to launch an app for the iPhone?? My mom just picked up a new phone running Windows, and—surprise, surprise—the app isn't there. She used to rely on it constantly back when she was using her old Android device. :/

Good luck with all that! It seems like they're basically the only bank left that hasn't bothered to add a barcode scanner, and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they're doing it on purpose since the same company behind their app already built that feature for Citibank.

My token got locked after they claimed I entered my PIN wrong three times—which I definitely didn't do. I've been trying to call them, but it's like they're busy on purpose just to spite me...

I actually ran into the exact same thing with the Chase app. I ended up reinstalling it on my iPhone three separate times because it kept insisting my PIN was incorrect, even though it wasn't. It seems to be working fine for me today, though.

Hey everyone! I have a quick question. A few days ago, I got a notification from JPMorgan Chase about a free trial for their mobile banking app. Since I’m currently using an older online banking setup that doesn't include mobile access, I really don't want to end up paying an extra $3.25 every month for nothing. I already have a data plan on my phone, so I can just use the standard mobile website if I have to... it’s not optimized for small screens, but it gets the job done.

I’d love to give the actual app a shot if it’s truly free and doesn't have any hidden catches, but I’m worried about messing up my current banking setup. The notification says I'm eligible for free mobile banking with my existing account, but I want to be absolutely sure before I commit to anything. I don't want them to switch me over to a different tier where I suddenly find myself paying more per month without any real benefit. If they offered things like double the free transactions or other perks compared to what I have now, I'd jump on it immediately... but until now, the app itself wasn't enough of a reason to switch. Sure, being able to use mobile payments at places like CVS or 7-Eleven sounds nice, but it’s not a huge deal for me. Honestly, I don't see the point in paying an extra $40 per year just for the convenience of the app.

My entire phone is basically a brick right now thanks to that absolute garbage pile known as WhatsApp, so I’ve reached my breaking point and am ready to just wipe everything back to factory settings.

So, I went ahead and reinstalled this stupid app, punched in both those codes and the PIN, and guess what? Absolutely nothing! It's just dead in the water!

It is a fresh installation. Your old credentials do not apply here. The system treats you as a brand new user.

If you don't have a token, you'll need to head down to JPMorgan Chase to get your activation and ID numbers. You can grab the app from the Google Play Store, or just wait for them to text you a link during the rollout. If you're downloading via the website, try selecting the "other model" option if your device isn't listed.

Keys and codes have expiration dates. If you don't activate them immediately, they expire and become invalid.

The device or app you use to log into Chase online banking allows you to download apps and get activation keys without visiting a branch. Since you clearly lack that, uninstall and delete the old ones from your phone. Go to a local branch, sit down, request the keys, and activate everything right then and there. Problem solved. Furthermore, if you have certain service packages active at the bank, you are entitled to a physical token so you don't deal with app headaches when switching phones or resetting devices... which would require downloading and reinstalling on a different device, like a family member's phone, just to avoid a trip to the bank. Or, as I stated, just ask for a physical token.

Sweet! The new mobile app for JPMorgan Chase just dropped! It’s available on Android now... I’m really digging it. They finally merged the m-token and added an ATM locator. Huge thumbs up from me. The load screen takes a bit longer than before, but it’s worth it... don't say I'm being too picky...
