So, I’ve been trying to get into my mobile banking app—you know, the updated one they just rolled out—and every time I punch in my PIN, I just get this cryptic "null" error message. It’s super weird because everything was working perfectly fine with my old PIN just a few days ago, but now? Total lockout. To make matters worse, I can't even check my balance through the bank's website because it keeps saying they're experiencing high traffic or something similar. I've been sitting here waiting since 9:00 AM with zero luck. Does anyone happen to know what's going on with the system?

It works fine for me. Likely their fault...

What’s going on with the JPMorgan Chase app? First, I get a "null" error when I try to enter my PIN. Then, I wanted to update or delete it, but there isn't even a version on the Apple App Store—only a business version. Does anyone know what the deal is?

I don't get it. Nothing is working on my end and I can't even find it on the Apple App Store. Maybe my phone is just dead.

Try searching for JPMorgan Chase. Once you see that Play Store version, click it; it should show up under SIMILAR APPS or within the developer's list...

I downloaded the update yesterday. Maybe something glitched on your end?

The issue was simply my search query. I typed in "m-jpmorgan chase," so the search engine kept defaulting to just the Chase investment branch. Once I tried searching for "m jpmorgan chase" without the hyphen, everything popped up and now it’s working perfectly.

Why the hell can't I take a screenshot on the JPMorgan Chase app? Like, once you're actually logged in... everything else on my phone works fine, but for this app, it just won't let me... I get this message saying "could not save screenshot, perhaps storage is full" or something similar, even though that's clearly not the issue...

Honestly, if you don't have it, don't bother getting it. It’s easily the most overpriced banking app out there compared to what other banks are offering. Plus, half the time you can't even use it because they’re constantly dealing with glitches or making random updates. The whole point of mobile banking is supposed to be about doing things remotely, but instead, I end up having to drive down to a Bank of America branch just because I can't fix their technical errors over the phone.

It works fine. I use it every single day without issue. Never had a problem...

Also... It’s great, fast—I barely even bother stepping foot inside a Bank of America branch anymore. The combination of the app and the mobile token is top-tier. If you were getting worked up because the m-token went down for a second yesterday, just a heads up—it was throwing notifications about it all week...

It’s still down... and it isn't just me, everyone I know is dealing with this too. This is the third time this year alone... and I've tried it on different phones, so we know it’s not a device issue. Honestly, it’s just not worth the premium price tag, especially when I look at Bank of America's app. I haven't had a single hiccup with them in ten years, and their fees are a fraction of what this costs.
I’m about ready to go full scorched earth today; this is getting ridiculous.

Of course it’s not a phone issue. They actually put out a statement saying they're having glitches and are working on a fix.
And as if Bank of America never has technical issues? /facepalm You just got lucky you didn't need to move money right this second.

Could be... But it’s funny how JPMorgan Chase always seems to freeze up right when I need them most... :-)

I've run into this issue with my mobile banking app twice now. Everything is working perfectly fine, then suddenly I get hit with a message saying my security token isn't activated. I call customer support at Chase, and they just give me the same old line: "Look, these glitches happen occasionally; you'll need to head down to a local branch to pick up a new activation key." It seems like this has started happening more frequently lately, and frankly, it has absolutely nothing to do with whatever smartphone you're using.

Hello there,

I was wondering if someone could walk me through the best way to handle my finances regarding PayPal? Specifically, I'm curious about what kind of bank account I should be using to receive funds—and does PayPal automatically convert those incoming payments into US dollars right away? Furthermore, I’d love to know the most efficient way to transfer that money over to my Chase checking account, ideally without getting hit by unnecessary fees. On the flip side, I'm also looking into how the reverse works; if I want to pick up something on eBay or a similar site, would it be better to move funds from my Chase checking into a specific type of account first? Any insights you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just use a basic savings account—it’s free since I'm on that student banking plan.
I just move whatever amount I need from my checking over to savings and buy my stuff.
Once the refunds hit, I just slide the cash back into my checking account.
