silentowl7 said:Look, Arthur Ramirez12, if you're so smart, why don't you explain how Chase Bank decides your overdraft limit...
I have an account at Chase, and my overdraft limit goes up every six months—roughly $333—since my salary keeps climbing. I pull in about $2667 a month. I'm on a flexible plan with a limit of $13.
The bank sets the limit themselves based on my last three months of income plus some percentage. I don't know their exact math, but there's zero chance I can just walk into Zions Bancorporation tomorrow, claim I'm on a flexible plan, and demand a $13 limit.

My point stands—overdraft limits are tied to income. It usually caps out at three times what I make, which would be $8.00 for me, so there's no way I could get $13.

So yeah, I still think you're full of it this time... 😁

Hardly. I'm speaking from experience. My husband and I have a joint household account; our combined income is $6,000.00 and we have an authorized overdraft of $25,000.00 (thankfully we haven't needed it yet), and I'm convinced we'd need even more if necessary. Six months ago, my individual income was $2,000.00 and I was approved for an $11,000.00 limit. So, go ahead, explain that logic to me. Apparently, I have privileges.🤣🤣🤣
In any case, I know that for slightly higher approvals, they look at everything: how long you've been a client, if you pay all your debts on time, your credit score status (never been on a blacklist, thank God)...
And from my own experience, I know that if you're perfect in every category, if things get tight, we can make an exception.👍

Probably because with $0.67, you can blow through your balance fast... giving them more chances to charge you that 12% interest. The bigger the debt, the better for them. 🤣

I also use Chase for my $20 monthly stuff—that’s basically all my perks. I stick to the mobile app, even though my banker gave me this weird look because I wouldn't use their specific mobile banking platform. It's ridiculous. Like it's not enough that we're glued to our phones 24/7 and pay all our bills through them already? 🙄

Anyway, I haven't used any of their repair services yet, so I don't know how that part works, but I'm happy with them. Mostly because you get a discount at Best Buy 😍.

I recently opened a checking account and signed up for one of those fancy digital payment assistants for $6.75
. So, I was wondering—is there a way to cancel that assistant if I don't want to keep paying the $6.75 monthly fee? Honestly, all I really need is a basic checking account where my paycheck lands, nothing else.

I was wondering if anyone might know if it’s possible to sign up for that student banking package even if you aren't currently enrolled in school anymore...

Or would they actually require some kind of official proof of enrollment?!

The reason I ask is that the student option seems to be the most affordable one and it covers exactly what I need, like a checking account and maybe some online banking, while everything else is just okay at best...

To be honest, the fees on the other accounts feel like a total rip-off, especially since they claim to save you money by moving services online and cutting down on trips to the local Chase branch, yet the service fees still seem way too high...😢

Best regards...

@Arthur Ramirez12, of course you can cancel. But I’d suggest running the math one more time to see if it's actually worth it 🤷—you've got your checking account sitting at Chase, which pulls in $1.75 monthly, every single check $1.75, the statements they mail to your house $1.75, and so on...

@Henry Adams58, they're looking into the status. Though, honestly, there's no need to deal with a physical branch 🤷—a modern digital assistant handles your checking, foreign exchange, savings, and money market accounts, plus five free digital transactions, all for just $6.75 🤷

You must present your official university ID to enroll in any student newspaper offers.

Here’s my situation as well.
My dishwasher just bit the dust, so I’m currently stuck relying on a handheld fan to stay cool, and I was wondering if their policy actually covers those kinds of appliance failures?????

I swung by my bank yesterday and picked up that payment assistant model. Everything is working perfectly and I'm honestly so happy with it—mostly because I wanted to start using e-banking. I just have one question: how exactly do you prepare the check orders once you've made a payment and printed them out? Could someone please walk me through the process in DETAIL?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

🙏👍😂🤣😍👍

Thanks so much, bye!!!!!!

I’ve been using online banking since back when it was just basic telephone banking—so, we’re talking at least five years now.
I can’t say I’ve ever actually needed a saved receipt for a transfer in my life. I know there’s always a way to pull a PDF of it, but honestly, I haven't a clue how. 🙂

I’m aware that their online banking service can pull up that specific transaction—they can then mail a physical confirmation of the transfer (that official receipt) directly to your home address🤷

Hey everyone,
just wanted to share a quick update with you all. I’ve been paying for an expert package for three years now, and since last year, I’ve added the dynamic coverage. Today, a pipe burst in my bathroom, so I decided to actually test out the home assistance through the World Bank—one of the perks included in the plan. I’ll admit, I was skeptical. But the operator took one look at my situation and told me a technician would call me within thirty minutes. Believe it or not, they were actually at my door in fifteen, swapped out the broken part, and they were gone. Honestly, I can't overstate how satisfied I am. Every single dollar I spend on this coverage feels worth it.🙂

So, tell me, did you actually end up paying anything for those parts he was swapping out, or...

I didn't, mostly because it was just a minor fix. But when you factor in the service fee covered by the Zaba fan, you're paying for the technician's visit and their labor too. If it's something trivial, they probably won't charge anything extra—that was my experience. My technician mentioned that for major repairs, I'd have to cover the cost of materials myself, but honestly, I think it all comes down to how you negotiate with the guy. At least, that's how I see it.

Peter Barnes82 said:What’s the deal with those new Zaba fan bundles?
Word on the street is they want to scrap all the current "Plan 1" options. Then, they’ll basically force us into these Fan deals where the cheapest one starts at $20...
People are actually making more money these days... 🤣

I’m still rocking my old all-in-one plan. Honestly, the teller at my local Chase branch hasn't said a single word about any of this to me.

I’m totally overthinking this whole thing with my man.
He’s out here insisting he’s got a Zaba fan and that his Zaba fan is basically just a high-end modern payment assistant.
Me? I’m telling him there is a massive difference between a freaking Zaba fan and a modern payment assistant.
So, who’s actually right here, and who’s just talking total nonsense? 😂

You finally got it, honey, you actually got 👋

There are those payment assistants (those 😂 things) and then there are the fans...

e, let him have it... he deserves it. 🙂

BTW, what's even the difference?
To me, it's all just the same xxanje, just different packaging.
It's nothing but a total scam wrapped up in fancy names.

Both options function as bundled accounts (or rather, 😍 services where you pay a monthly fee to cover everything included in the package 😉)
The distinction lies in the fact that the basic banking assistants don't bundle credit cards—you can have them, sure, but they’ll hit you with an annual fee rather than being part of the flat monthly rate—whereas the premium bundles include one or more credit cards as part of the membership. There is also the matter of overdraft limits: the assistant tops out at $3333, while the premium tiers go up to $30,000 or even higher depending on which tier you pick (and, obviously, based on your salary). Then there's the interest rate on those negative balances—the premium bundles offer much lower rates—plus the number of fee-free transactions, which is higher in the bundles since, well, you're paying more for them. It goes on and on...
@Kimberly Nguyen sorry, I know this post is a bit of a mess, but take a look at the clock (😵) 😍

So what, does that mean you can settle up with favors too?🤣>
