The packages aren't actually being scrapped; I suspect that's just an employee rumor designed to push through the Zaba fan transition as quickly as possible.
The bank isn't legally allowed to hike up service fees or switch your account type from a package to a Zaba fan without getting your explicit signature first.

SP+? I think you actually meant S+. That’s just how the client is categorized regarding their assets at Chase Bank.

Look, any bank can raise the price of a service they offer... hell, they can even roll out entirely new ones whenever they feel like it...
I honestly don't get where you're getting this idea that banks can't raise fees without a signature. It's ridiculous. I mean, look at ExxonMobil—they hike up gas prices whenever they want, and they certainly don't ask for my permission or my signature before doing it. That's just a corporate decision. At the end of the day, it's on you to decide whether you accept the new price or walk away.

They can't force you into a different bundle or a specific "fan" tier without your consent, sure... but they absolutely have the right to shut down a specific package or tier altogether.

There’s actually a massive difference between buying a gallon of gas and maintaining a bank account. With an account, you have a binding contract between two parties—the bank and the client. That’s how it works in theory, anyway. In practice? Banks draft these contracts so aggressively that they basically give themselves the power to do whatever they want. 😁

We’ve got ourselves stuck in a contract with Comcast that’s basically rigged so they can never be wrong 😁 ... and honestly, they mess up our programming whenever they feel like it, all the time... don't even get me started on the pricing... at the end of the day, we’re left with the choice of either sticking with them or jumping ship to someone else... but let's be real, it's all just a total load of crap anyway 😁

Yeah, you're right—it was S+. Thanks, Emily Foster5 🙂 So, what other labels do they use when they segment clients by wealth... if you even know?

What kind of property classification is that? It’s almost like they're labeling people at Zaba fan based on their net worth—like cattle in a pen!

I don't know what to tell you, but I am absolutely fed up with the constant noise on this board lately. It feels like every single thread turns into some massive, drawn-out drama that nobody actually asked for. Honestly, it’s exhausting. kaže:
I honestly think they’re basically forcing these service bundles on people just to get them through the door. Every single time I’ve walked into a Chase branch lately, there’s some teller trying to shove these packages down my throat like I don't have a choice. It's infuriating because I make it crystal clear every time: if they’re going to scrap the "one size fits all" pricing, then they better unbundle everything for me right then and there. But no, they just won't do it.
...

$20 Monthly x 12 months equals... what? Honestly, I don't even want to think about that number because it's usually just a fancy way to calculate how much money we're bleeding out every single year. $240 Every single year!
That's a hell of a lot of money.
Look, I’m using basically everything they offer: my checking account, savings, Mastercard, and I handle all my bill pay through online banking—which means I've got the security token and all that. Plus, I'm fully set up with Zbinvest Link and e-Trade.
I honestly haven't sat down to crunch the numbers on what those services would actually cost me individually, but I'm thinking it might be worth getting a quote just to see...🤷
I am absolutely fed up with these constant payment delays on my debit card. It’s getting ridiculous! If they’re actually offering this with zero interest and no hidden fees, then I'm all ears.🤷 The only good thing I can say about it is that I used my Go card exactly twice, and even then, it was only for larger purchases. As soon as I caught a glimpse of those interest rates, I walked away from the whole thing immediately!

Michael Brooks732 said:Hey everyone,
just wanted to share a quick update with you all. I’ve been paying for an expert package for three years now, and since last year, I’ve added the dynamic coverage. Today, a pipe burst in my bathroom, so I decided to actually test out the home assistance through the World Bank—one of the perks included in the plan. I’ll admit, I was skeptical. But the operator took one look at my situation and told me a technician would call me within thirty minutes. Believe it or not, they were actually at my door in fifteen, swapped out the broken part, and they were gone. Honestly, I can't overstate how satisfied I am. Every single dollar I spend on this coverage feels worth it.🙂

I'm trying to wrap my head around this assistance coverage... when it says "coverage up to... this much dollars," what does that actually mean in practice? Does it mean I can use these services twice a year and I only end up paying out of pocket if the total cost exceeds that limit? 🤷
For example, home/apartment assistance:
Reimbursement for specialist bills for serviced appliances up to $367 -
What does that specifically mean to you guys???

I should probably give a nod to Allianz Assistance—they covered my tow from Boise all the way to Washington, D.C. at no cost. I gave them a call, and they dispatched the service immediately. It’s quite ironic, considering I was actually thinking about canceling that coverage 🤣
just a few days ago. They informed me that my policy includes free towing up to $617, which I assume covers roughly 8x the mileage. Quite convenient.

Surely you didn't receive some divine sign from above suggesting it’s finally time to upgrade to a new car? 🤣

happen all of a sudden? Fortunately, I am still here; that is how my pathetic car 🙂
went.

It’s all just wonderful with Allianz Assistance. So, yesterday my gas water heater gave up the ghost in my apartment—it's only a couple of years old, still technically under its two-year warranty—and since I was freezing to death without any heat, I decided to give Allianz Assistance a call. I received a truly lovely response. Because it happens to be a gas unit, they won't touch it; apparently, it falls under the category of a "household appliance," whatever that's supposed to mean. If it had been electric, they would have sent someone out immediately. Honestly, what kind of logic is that? I pay for this premium coverage, $30 a month, including all those extra perks, and then because my heater runs on gas, they just brush me off. It’s great, really—makes me feel like a complete idiot for even paying for this protection... 😢

Yeah, that's the catch with these plans; they seem to bundle in everything you'll never actually need, or maybe use once in a lifetime, while leaving out the stuff that actually matters.

No. You’ll have to head down to a local branch in person.

$1.75 charging us just to send an SMS...????
Are they out of their minds????
And they have the nerve to do this when we're already paying through the nose for these overpriced data plans....???

I’ve already canceled everything... the texts, the paper statements... now I'm just waiting for them to start charging me a fee just for owning a security token🤣... or a convenience fee just for walking into a Chase branch...🤣
