Yeah, look, just stop stressing over the trivial stuff—like those makeup artists...
It wasn't even them being shady, it was just those damn social norms getting in the way.
And honestly, that's where the line is drawn,
because we're never actually going to be completely free, not really.
We'll just keep striving and hitting walls, and someone’s always going to end up complaining or just dealing with the fallout...

The world isn't going to change overnight. We just need to give ourselves some time to get organized first..🙄

So I’m just sitting here waiting for some other hippie revolution or a massive market crash like back in '08 or whatever... then we can all just go live in the middle of nowhere, eat grass, and pretend everything is totally fine 🙂

I’m pretty sure my soul was incarnated during that whole 60s era.
In a past life, I definitely knew how to have a good time. People were way more liberated when it came to sex.
What the hell was I thinking coming to this era?
I really feel like I don't belong here. Watching movies like *Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas*, I honestly expected to see myself somewhere in that crowd of hippies. 🤣

I feel like pretty much everyone’s stuck in this same rut lately... but hey, what can you do? We’re basically working with nothing here, just absolute scraps, but I guess even when you're starting from zero, you can still try to build something out of thin air if you're feeling ambitious enough... 🙂
even if all we've got to show for it are some cheap MP3 players and other random junk.
Windows XP, baby... living the dream...

Most people aren't actually happy with their lives or how they look, but they won't admit it. They hide behind a mask to protect themselves from judgment, which just ends up projecting this fake, polished version of reality. Because they put up that front, everyone else assumes they're doing perfectly while the rest of us are somehow failing. People lie all the time. They aren't honest about their struggles because, honestly, there’s no payoff in being vulnerable or showing the flaws we all carry

There is a massive gap between who someone is and the image they try to project!
A question for Noah Sanchez7: Is it easier to try and change the world or just work on yourself? Also, how much of your expectations actually align with what's realistic?
How much can a person truly live independently from those around them?

It is easier to change oneself, yet I choose the harder path. I refuse to reshape my identity just to fit in with the crowd. That would be like trading ten grams of silver for ten grams of iron.
My expectations are limitless (in my own mind)! 🙂
Where there is will, there is power.
Living without society is possible, but it would be too extreme for me. I want to be involved.

Morgan Bishop4 said:Honestly, I feel pretty much exactly how you described, except for the whole drug thing... I'm staying sober, at least.
But man, I just can't bring myself to accept the world for what it is, and I have zero interest in being some fake, bubbly, manicured, "perfect" little doll...
And then people label me as difficult or unpleasant—they usually say it right after they've had a few too many drinks—and then I spend all night thinking about it, just feeling completely misunderstood...
But then again... I know I shouldn't let everything turn me bitter,
I've sort of come to terms with the fact that the world is a mess and most people are garbage—well, maybe not even people, more like just products of these ridiculous unwritten social rules and cultural bullshit... I just want to be myself, but I know that’s not going to get me very far in this life.
And there's something pathetic about that...

I can't change the world, I can't change the world, I just can't change the world.

But you can change your hometown, you can change your hometown, you can change your hometown.

I’ve been following along here day after day.

Instead of all that unique energy and the drive to actually change things, everyone just settled into this endless cycle of complaining and playing the victim. It’s all just gossip about who’s out to get whom—a total escape from taking any actual responsibility.

The very first posts really did seem promising.

Man.

I feel the same way. It’s starting to look more like a soap opera where people just moan about fates they created themselves, philosophizing over nothing instead of dealing with reality... I guess it feels like everyone is just overthinking things out of boredom, creating these idealistic, unrealistic ideas that don't really hold up in the real world.

Yeah. It’s just not worth the hassle. I'm trying to cut my losses there—honestly, it's been a struggle to walk away.🙄

Is there anything else left to saaaaaaaaaay????
There is!!
It seems like it's just human nature to constantly complain and vent, especially when people feel misunderstood. But let’s pivot for a second... look at us. There are a few of us here who clearly feel like outsiders or just fundamentally different—Noah Sanchez7, Morgan Bishop4, myself, and I've lost track... but don't you think everyone feels that way at some point? Even the people who seem the most "normal" and act perfectly conventional often carry that same sense of isolation deep down. I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear enough, but that's the gist of it.

But what exactly does "perfectly normal" even look like?

A bit late to the party,
Noah Sanchez7,
but I haven't read anything from a bigger liar or better actor in a long time.

I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear enough, but that's the gist of it.

And do you know why it's like that? It's because we rarely say what we actually think. Most of the time, we just say whatever fits the moment based on some distorted social criteria.
That is the core of the issue.
That's why we're all fractured. Divided. We create this "us versus them" mentality in almost every situation!

You know, nobody benefits from this. Some people are destroyed by it, while most just try to exploit it for their own gain and call it a day.
Both sides are pathetic.
The latter group is pathetic because they're nothing more than driven by instinct, and the former are pathetic because they suffer through it all.
However, the second group considers themselves happy and views the first as miserable, all while being completely unaware of their own ignorance and lack of depth..

Those first miserable souls are actually far ahead of the others because they possess awareness, which grants them a much deeper spectrum of emotions and empathy.
My conclusion is that they are miserable simply because their eyes are fixed on the other group.
The solution?
"Look away."
But that isn't easy, because that awareness prevents these miserable people from focusing on themselves and embracing their own individuality.
So, the conclusion is that some are miserable and aware of it, and there is no cure.
Others are miserable but unaware, so they remain happy and content. ("Oh, how wonderful it is to be ignorant...")
Still, I am certain a solution exists even for those who feel hopeless; it's just up to them to find it..
