Oh, absolutely... a total revolutionary... a true communist at heart. 👍

The world hasn't actually seen communism without a dictator and a suffering population.
That’s why I don't think Jesus would have ever signed on for it.

Right now, you all have this kind of freedom. 🙄
I mean, you can choose whatever identity you want—communists, atheists, religious folks, or just different political factions, nationalities, citizenships... basically anything else used to divide people.

But honestly, that only matters if people actually act like decent humans toward themselves, each other, and their communities. That's the only way we all move forward.

To me, Jesus was a humanist who set a pretty solid example for how to treat everyone on Earth. 🙂

Captain Rubbish said:Just some pre-holiday political debate: do you think Jesus leaned left or right?

Since he stood up against the authority of Rome and the high priesthood, I guess Jesus comes off as a leftist. Plus, he kind of had that hippie vibe. 😁 But then again, the church that claims to follow his teachings is strictly right-wing.

His political messages seemed pretty mixed to me, but if you had to pick a side—left or right—which would you choose?

Jesus was a massive leftist and a total REVOLUTIONARY!

The greatest ever!

Oh, please, you know what they say—"every beginning is a struggle."

Even Christ didn't see his mission come to fruition during his lifetime; he ended his journey through a violent death, but look at the legacy that followed...

And take Che Guevara, for instance. He didn't succeed while he was alive either, meeting a brutal end, but his impact lingered... Look at Bolivia, where he lost his life; it became red and continues to grow more and more red every single day. 👍

Where exactly does Jesus call for some violent revolution?
To tear down the existing social order?
And if I’m remembering correctly—which I might not be—violent revolution is actually a core component of communism.
He was speaking about the internal world.
Politics is what deals with organizing the external world.
So, I’m a bit worried you might be mixing up apples and oranges here. He didn't come to instruct people on whether to be leftists or rightists; he came to teach them—through both his actions and his words—how to be good human beings.
If we are going to take your dissection of Jesus seriously, we have to admit he occupied a middle ground. He wasn't calling for the overthrow of the law, but rather for its fulfillment; he wasn't looking to dismantle tradition or topple the government.
Yet, at the same time, he helped those in need and stood up for the marginalized—people whom everyone else ignored (sort of like how a civil rights advocate might function in the States)—always emphasizing solidarity and similar values.
All things considered, the situation isn't quite that black and white. He was a bit of both.
A traditionalist (since he was supposedly a rabbi) and an evolutionist.

...which is a far cry from your so-called "country," which seems to master every single flavor of criminal enterprise and maintains a pretty old-school sense of vassalage.

In Bolivia, the people kicked out that stinking "president" who was basically a puppet installed by the cowboys, and they finally chose someone of their own!

But over where you live, it’s the exact opposite. It feels like everyone is just sitting there, practically begging for foreigners to swoop in and start barking orders.

he's talking about the inner world.
politics is about organizing the outer world.

all in all, it's not that black and white. he was both sides of the coin.
a traditionalist (supposedly even a rabbi) and an evolutionist.

🙏 But how can you expect regular folks to grasp the idea that you can't just debate someone who actually represents God, rather than just being a man with all his human flaws.
Any attempt to link Jesus to earthly matters is impossible from the jump; the premise itself is flawed.

The Bolivians kicked out that stench of a "president" the cowboys shoved down their throats and picked their own man.

With you people, it's the exact opposite. You’re practically begging for foreigners to come over and start bossing you around.

Man, you have completely lost the plot. Are you some low-level nobody mourning the "good old days" when you actually belonged to the elite? If that's the case, take your precious communism and shove it. Do you even know what the average salary looks like in Cuba? People flee from there because they can't stomach the "generosity" of that red regime. Get a grip. No government is perfect, but if I had a choice, I'd go with a nationalist administration just so we could kick people like you out of the country for constantly whining and demanding things. If you don't like how things are, go out, work, and earn a living instead of waiting for the state to hand everything to you on a silver platter.

Well, if you don't have a choice, then honestly, just shut your mouth. Things are going to play out exactly how the people running the show decide they want them to.

When it comes to these "elections," all you’re really doing is picking which puppet gets to act as the representative for our foreign overlords.
kicking out teams like yours from the country because of constant nonsense.

You're really just pulling my leg at this point. 😁

It’s a striking contrast; unlike the folks in Bolivia, you all seem perfectly content being henchmen, which is plain as day when you look at how things actually work, so it's no wonder nobody bothers to ask for your opinion.

It's nothing but a total joke.😁

Unlike the Bolivians, you people seem perfectly happy being lapdogs. It shows in everything you do, which is why nobody bothers asking for your opinion.

Oh, please. Go ahead, describe your version of communist rule to me—I'm genuinely curious to see just how far gone you are. I read fantasy too, man, but I don't live in a fairy tale...

Just sit down, shut up, and follow the orders being handed down by our overseas overlords.

By all means, feel free to dive into those fantasy novels and daydream about what it would be like to actually live in a truly free, independent nation—just try not to say it out loud, or you might just get a sudden, painful wake-up call from Timothy Geithner himself. 😁

What a joke!

I mean, hey—you’re totally allowed to read your little fantasy novels and daydream about actually living in a free, independent country... just don't say it too loud, or you might get a slap in the face from Timothy Geithner. 😁

Pfft! Total garbage!

Oh yeah? And what about that description of communist rule?

...so that's why nobody ever bothers to ask you anything...

...and if you want proof of how little anyone cares to consult you, just look at the fact that a former insurgent is serving as a county commissioner in, well, nothing less than Pittsburgh.

It’s absolutely disgraceful!

Honestly, is there even any point in adding more to that?

Go ahead, buddy, keep living in your little fairy tales. At this point, those delusions are probably the only thing you have left.
