Oh, hey there, Matthew Wright2! I was just sitting here wondering—if I were living in America, how exactly would I go about casting my vote?

Honestly, I wouldn't participate at all. Since I'm not a citizen, I don't have that right, but even if I were an American citizen, I think I’d sit this one out. To me, the whole political system over there feels less like a democracy and more like a giant, organized crime syndicate.

You’re typing this out in perfect American English while simultaneously trashing the country and its people in every single post.

We already know you have a thing for the dead, but what do you call this other condition—where you spend all your energy insulting your own heritage and roots? Or did I get that wrong? Are your ancestors located somewhere east of the US?

You claim not to believe, yet you're constantly lecturing others about faith and Jesus Christ. The very word "faith" implies you either hold a belief or you don't. If you don't believe in Jesus, why are you wasting your breath on these topics?

Go focus on your own convictions and that failed red religion of yours, though I'm pretty sure you wouldn't know a thing about your own Marxist Bible if it hit you in the face.

You’re writing in your native tongue...

Actually, I'm just writing in standard American English. As for that specific thing you brought up, I honestly have no clue what you're talking about, I never studied it, and frankly, it hasn't even crossed my mind to go look it up.

So, do me a favor and back off. I’m certainly no psychiatrist, and I really don't have the patience or the desire to play games with someone who clearly belongs in a clinical setting rather than an online forum. Just hit the block button, stop looking at my threads, and stop quoting me. Sound good?

Matthew Wright2, if everyone who thinks your posts are stupid just hit the ignore button, you'd be shouting into a void.
Since this is a social forum, I guess we have to look out for those who can't seem to take care of themselves.

I guess it would be best if, seeing as you aren't even a citizen of this country, you just headed back to the forums in your own little banana republic to peddle that Marxist-Maoist nonsense of yours.

Now, back off. I'm not a psychiatrist, so I don't have the patience to mess around with someone who’s clearly a walking red flag for the profession. Put me on ignore. Stop quoting my posts and stop quoting me. Got it?

Fact 1: That language doesn't exist and never did. You were taught incorrectly; if you'd been taught properly, you wouldn't be crying over something that isn't even real. When something is artificial, it doesn't last. It decays. It falls apart.

Fact 2: You're just a provocateur and a jerk.

Fact 3: You aren't a psychiatrist. You're the exact opposite.

Fact 4: You should be the one putting me on ignore since you're clearly afraid of actual arguments.

Conclusion: Go find an extremist forum and mess around with your failed buddies there.

Alright, enough already, Bradley Nelson2, Melissa Richardson3, and all you other little busybodies... just back off and leave me alone. Seriously, why don't you all just go grab a sugar cube and scurry off into the weeds?

It's nothing but cheap plastic and a frantic race to nowhere!

Matthew Wright2 said:'come on, John, Melissa Richardson3 and all you other boring little flies... get lost. go on then, everyone get a sugar cube and let's get those four legs moving.'

Hay bales and full gallop!

Hmm... I swear, I am never gonna wrap my head around cowboy humor. Little flies, sugar cubes, hay... what on earth is even happening? 🙄

But seriously, I just don't get these weird jabs—like Phoenix's whole retirement-age trolling where he's all, "my blood work looks better than yours" or "I've got bigger lung capacity than you," and then there's Matthew Wright2's whole thing about annoying little flies and sugar cubes. Man, little flies and blood counts aren't exactly part of my daily life, you know? Someone please walk me through this so I can actually laugh along!

Do I really need to break this down for you? Honestly, it feels like I’m trying to explain color to someone who’s living in a black-and-white movie... without being too dramatic, of course.

Matthew Wright2 said:Explain it to you? Man, you're about as bright as a broken flashlight... not even being mean here, just stating facts.

Honestly, I’d be laughing too! But hey, why don't you enlighten me on the "metaphorical" meaning of these terms: a lowly fly, a sugar cube, straw, and a gallop?

So, like, is this "lowly fly" thing actually referring to *Drosophila melanogaster*? Is there some weird connection to genetics going on here?

I fail to see how none of the big brains in this thread managed to realize that, nor have they...
A quick poll posed an interesting question: does Jesus actually possess the core characteristics of today's political left?
Honestly, given certain factors, you just can't call them leftists—not if they're also doing that.
It’s funny how they manage to check all the modern right-wing boxes while simultaneously being completely undermined by their own specific obsessions. Is that really the best they can do?
He can't exactly label things as "right-wing," much like everything else he's unable to properly categorize.
If you try to force everything into a binary 0 or 1 framework, wouldn't you just end up crowding the center? It’s the same issue we see with Elizabeth Dole.
What's up, everyone? 😁

The problem is that this whole topic was framed as a forced choice between just two options, rather than offering three distinct paths. Besides, the entire discussion has been pretty much derailed by a bunch of uncontrolled kids making outbursts, so honestly, the original point isn't even relevant anymore.

At the same time, we could have just as much of a high-quality debate over whether Jimmy Carter prefers Marlboro or Davidoff 🙄

I get what you're saying, really, but that doesn't make it any more answerable. Wouldn't it be significantly better if...
If you actually wanted to explore this kind of dualistic discourse, wouldn't it have been better to just ask, "Was Jesus...?"
"Leftist" or "right-winger"? If you actually wanted to reach anyone, maybe try framing the question with a bit more reality.
The results.

I don't get why everyone is tearing this topic apart. Have people just completely lost their sense of humor when it comes to satire?
I look at this entire thread through a satirical lens, and if that’s the way we’re playing things, there's really only one question left to ask.
It’s actually pretty clever and innovative.

The whole point was to have people debate one side or the other, not to provide some rigorous scientific analysis of Jesus's political leanings. At the end of the day, this is just an online message board.

Instead of actually engaging in meaningful arguments or clever banter—which used to be the hallmark of this community—everyone just went back to their old habits: posting absolute garbage, throwing insults, trolling, and showing off how shallow and uneducated they are by attacking the topic simply because it touches on certain religious taboos. And the moderators? They clearly couldn't care less that trolls are running rampant on their site; they jumped right in to shut it down, moving the thread to the "Off-Topic" section instead of leaving it in Politics where it actually belongs.

Classic American forum culture. 😉

Instead of actually debating or using any wit—following the best traditions of this site—everyone just pivoted to posting garbage, hurling insults, trolling, and showing off how uninspired and limited their vocabularies are, all while attacking the topic because of some religious taboo. The moderators, who clearly couldn't care less that trolls are running the show, joined right in by moving the thread to the "Off-Topic" section instead of keeping it in Politics where it belongs.

Classic Reddit behavior. 😉

I’ve already made my stance clear regarding starting a thread like this right before Christmas.
You’re pushing for a serious discussion on this subject, yet you knew exactly what kind of reaction it would trigger. To me, this entire thread is nothing but pure provocation. By all means, post whatever you want, but don't act all high-and-mighty when things go south.

Can you even define "left" and "right" on a global scale? Can you even define them within the context of American circumstances? That would be a real conversation. This? This is just clickbait.

wanderingmaker8 said:In the spirit of the holidays, here’s a political question: do you think Jesus leaned left or right?

Given that he stood up against the authorities in Rome and the high priesthood, he comes off as pretty leftist. I mean, the guy basically had a hippie vibe. 😁 Then again, the church that claims to carry on his teachings is strictly right-wing.

To me, Jesus' political messages seemed mixed. But if you were forced to choose—leftist or rightist—which way would you go?

A while back, all the self-proclaimed religious experts and big thinkers in America agreed that Jesus was actually the original communist.

Melissa Richardson3 said:I’ve already made my position crystal clear regarding opening a thread like this right before Christmas.

So why even bother posting this again? It’s honestly just a waste of bandwidth.
Melissa Richardson3 As I've seen it before said:Can you actually provide a coherent definition of left-wing and right-wing politics on a global scale?

If I can't find the answer myself, maybe Wikipedia can pull it out of thin air. Leftist. - Right Quote 😲
Melissa Richardson3 said:Honestly, this entire thread feels like nothing more than a blatant provocation.

What exactly am I being provoked on? Is it the actual argument and my take on the core issue—which, let’s be honest, is incredibly difficult to articulate properly—or is it just the endless stream of mindless nonsense that serves only to sabotage the conversation? Or maybe it's just this mountain of useless posts where people just repeat the same tired points over and over and over again?

Look, those questions are purely rhetorical. I’m not actually looking for an answer from you because, frankly, this isn't about your specific take—it's a much broader issue plaguing this entire forum. 🙂
