Okay, even if I concede that vegetarians are smarter, what’s the move?
Start a thread called, "Let's look smarter—eat more greens"??
There's this saying:
"A guy might wish he were a bird, but he's just a mess."
No matter how fancy you package it, eventually we all have to strip down,
take care of business, and wipe ourselves—all while trying to act like nobody saw.
So, if we've officially decided vegetarians have higher IQs, here's my new topic:
"Let's look smarter—use three-ply toilet paper"

So, I guess I'm not the only one who's noticed just how much of a practical advantage that single head provides over women...

There really has to be something to it, I suppose.

Of course—given that you're a meat-eater, we’ll probably have to take your opinion with a grain of salt, since your IQ is sitting right at 99—but we'll still consider what you have to say (not too seriously, mind you, but still...).

LIQ said:Alright, even if I concede that vegetarians might be more intelligent—what's the next step here?

Nothing. It really comes down to this: either you embrace vegetarianism and become a smart person, or you stay a mindless, corrupt, predatory glutton—in which case, everyone will look down on you and give you a hard time whenever you show up.
I mean, people might even go as far as splashing boiling water on your feet.

And kids? They'll probably throw stones at you.
Even mothers will tell their little ones—those who are still too young to actually pick up a rock—to stop looking at you, because they don't want them turning out just like you... or ending up like you if they skip class and slack off in school.

You absolute villain.

Executioner said:sly fox.

Fair enough. 😍

Back to the point: Executioner, despite your sarcastic tone regarding this thread, the difference between two absolute numbers is irrelevant. A difference of 100 can effectively be zero. I’m not wasting breath explaining further.

As for the study itself, people aren't reading closely. Someone already pointed out that a more accurate title would be "intelligent people don't eat meat," and another user correctly noted the significant moderator influence here. Ultimately, the research described is purely correlational. There's a connection. But that fact alone doesn't prove causation.

I bet some girl is gonna jump in here saying some guys have way more than they can count once the pants come off.
Trust me, they do—it’s all just little marbles anyway.

So yeah, Krvnik-će, the number isn't 21, it's actually 23.

LIQ said:Oh, they’re definitely there—those little spheres exist.

Those spheres shouldn't be used for scientific purposes, I suppose.

The Bible forbids it—which is why we can only count up to 21, maybe.

Someone already pointed out—and honestly, they're right—that a better headline would be "if smarter people didn't eat meat."

If I quit meat, my IQ would hit 200—just like how if I quit smoking, I'd live to be 100.

But wait, didn't you just say earlier that all living beings are equal? 😕
Buddy, you're totally contradicting yourself here.

So, how old are you actually right now?

Personally, I suspect I might have hit 90 if I hadn't taken up smoking.

Most guys under twenty-one can barely count to ten unless they take their shoes off to count their toes, and then they have to strip down just to get a handle on that one extra limb they’re carrying around thinking it gives them some kind of edge over women...

.

So what, you've got twenty toes? 😕
I'll give you credit for that one extra head, though...🥳

Yeah, exactly. It reminds me of this story about a cop who catches some kid smoking, starts lecturing him about how it’s unhealthy and cuts your life short, then asks how old he is. Kid says he’s ten, and the officer just smirks and goes, "Well, look at that, if you quit now, you might actually make it to thirteen." 😁

it seems you're pretty out of the loop regarding the actual state of our coastal waters

Look, our own coastline isn't some isolated sanctuary providing every single bit of seafood on our plates... I personally go through a ton of mussels from the North Sea and Japanese tuna, so if we're talking about purity, we have to ask how clean those waters actually are to begin with. Besides, the waters near Italy are notoriously polluted, and I highly doubt anyone could convince me that a few fish aren't drifting over from there... And let's be real, our own coast isn't magically immune to pollution just because we claim it as ours. We've already seen invasive algae and those blue crabs moving in, so anything can drift into our ecosystem at any time...

Does anyone actually believe those waters are perfectly clean? Plus, the coastlines over by Italy are pretty polluted, and I doubt anyone could convince me that some of those fish aren't drifting our way. Even our own coasts aren't immune to pollution just because they're "ours." Between those algae blooms and those invasive blue crabs showing up, anything can drift in.

Personally, I stick exclusively to what we catch locally. As for those algae issues and the blue crabs? That’s just the fallout from global warming and melting glaciers. Our waters are still pristine, really. Honestly, there's hardly any fish left along the Italian coast anyway.

you're basically contradicting yourself here, man.

I think you've made quite a mess of things in this instance.

WTF😕
Of course all living beings should be treated equally—that’s a given. It has absolutely nothing to do with my point about not being on an animal's level, nor my stance against living by a "survival of the fittest" code.😕

hereticST said:I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR PLASTIC OR WHATEVER—JUST LEAVE THE REST OF US ALONE. WHO CARES IF THE PIG SUFFERED? IT WAS DELICIOUS DINNER FOR ME!!!!!!

Honestly, I think most people actually operate this way. It’s pure survivalism: "I’m looking out for number one, and frankly, I couldn't care less about anyone else." That mindset was practically mandatory for early humans and primitive tribes just to stay alive. Fast forward through a few millennia of civilization, and we’ve supposedly made some progress, right? We’ve baked certain moral and ethical guidelines into our legal systems, expecting individuals to act in accordance with modern societal standards. Unfortunately, there’s still plenty of room for this kind of primitive, selfish thinking to breathe. It’s a stain on the society we live in, though obviously, you don't fix deep-seated cultural rot overnight. Those who push for higher ethical standards—vegetarians included—are just trying to move the needle by advocating for their views. That’s why they speak up. I don't see any reason why someone should feel insulted or threatened just because another person chooses a different way to exist.
