But heaven forbid someone calls out that ridiculous behavior—then suddenly, you're the victim.

Oh, look at you, lecturing me on "substance" and "sound argumentation." Real classy. So, since you're such a titan of logic, why don't you go ahead and prove you aren't just a complete idiot? In line with your high-and-mighty post, go ahead and quote a single sentence of mine where I attacked meat-eaters without any actual basis or reasoning. Come on, let's see it. I'll wait.

Rachel Martinez11 said:I find myself agreeing with this particular passage—it suggests that a total lack of empathy is actually a core symptom of psychopathy:

"On an interpersonal level, psychopathic individuals tend to be arrogant, superficial, dishonest, and manipulative. Emotionally speaking, their feelings are shallow and unstable. They struggle to build deep connections with people and suffer from a deficit in empathy, anxiety, and guilt. When it comes to behavior, they are often irresponsible, impulsive, thrill-seekers, and prone to criminal activity" (p. 16).

🙄

A lot of people lean into reincarnation because they feel it's the only explanation that actually provides a sense of purpose to existence.
Personally, I couldn't care less what anyone else believes—it's a private matter.

🙄

Feelings are—well, they’re just more refined (perhaps even truer?) than thoughts.
That’s why when someone loses their temper, they’re actually much closer to reality than if they were sitting there calmly and logically overanalyzing the situation that triggered them in the first place...

And that’s exactly why our friend Kanye West is right in that specific, intuitive way—because he has a gut feeling—and since feelings possess such an incredible weight of truth, it’s almost hard to believe!
🙄

I love animals and I think it’s terrible that they’re slaughtered for food—that's all there is to it.🙂

Rachel Martinez11 said:Look, you’ve laid out your foundation and your arguments—so now, unless you want to look like a complete idiot, prove me wrong. Go ahead and quote just one single sentence from my post where I attack meat-eaters without any actual basis or reasoning. Let's see what you've got.

That happens constantly—I've seen it happen a thousand times on those threads I mentioned... anyone with even a shred of self-awareness would call that out as self-reflection.

«Interpersonally, psychopathic individuals are arrogant, superficial, deceitful, and manipulative. Affectively, their emotions are shallow and labile. They are unable to form strong emotional bonds with others and are lacking in empathy, anxiety, and guilt. Behaviourally, they are irresponsible, impulsive, sensation seeking, and prone to delinquency and criminality» (p. 16).

So, you aren't arrogant?
Superficial?
manipulative?
And so on, and so forth.

Taylor Campbell4 said:Hey Thomas Stewart97—does karma bite animals on the butt too, just because they eat other animals or plants?

Could you expand a bit on your take regarding karma and these specific questions?

Well—animals certainly have karma. At their core, an animal is exactly the same as a human being; they're simply wearing a different coat right now.

How does one actually demonstrate they are fundamentally human, and what exactly constitutes an "animalistic" karma?

Taylor Campbell4 said:They’ve pulled this stunt a thousand times already—I’ve seen it happen on that other thread I mentioned... anyone with even a shred of self-awareness would use that as a reason to actually take a hard look at themselves.

Look, since you’ve had plenty of chances and still haven't backed up any of those baseless, insulting claims with an actual argument, let me be clear. You're just spewing nonsense and attacking meat-eaters without a single logical foundation. To me, there's no doubt about it: you're just being dense and trolling. I have absolutely nothing to say to people like you. So, just get lost.

Alright, if you say so... 🙂 just don't go telling me you're some kind of animal activist😬

Look, it's fine—really—to care about animals, but once it turns into hypocrisy or fanaticism, it just becomes a bunch of nonsense, in my opinion.

And honestly? I doubt you love animals more than I do. Besides, I'm not going to go after people for eating meat or lecture them with all sorts of nonsense.

I'd much rather focus on actual societal issues and try to contribute to solving real problems in the world, rather than wandering down blind alleys.

Rachel Martinez11 said:Since you haven't actually offered a single coherent point to back up your rude claims—just mindless, baseless attacks on meat eaters—I’m going to be blunt: you're just a troll, and I have zero interest in wasting my breath on someone like you. So, just beat it.

Heh, you're basically contradicting yourself here—and honestly, you're being a bit short-sighted.😘>

sad but true said:people enjoy meat because, unlike plants, it just tastes incredible.

Don't get me wrong, I love the taste of meat. I really do. But I don't eat it, mostly because I prefer to sleep at night with a clear conscience. It’s an analogy, really. Sure, I recognize there are plenty of attractive women out there, and I'm certain I'd enjoy their company if given the chance. But I avoid those encounters because I value my marriage. My wife would be devastated if I cheated, and frankly, I have no desire to cause her that kind of pain. In the same vein, I don't want animals to suffer. That said, I can't help but think there's a certain poetic justice in seeing people who lack even a shred of empathy—those who couldn't care less about others—experience that same indifference firsthand. Maybe then they'd actually start to grasp the weight of the issues they ignore.

Taylor Campbell4 said:How does that actually manifest—being essentially human—and what exactly do you mean by animalistic karma?

It’s just an intuition—quite logical, really. As for knowing someone else's karma? I don't.😕

Personally, I couldn't care less what anyone else believes—that’s a private matter for the individual.

Well, I actually do believe in reincarnation; it seems logical to me due to the sheer variety of experiences we encounter, much like the principle of cause and effect—though, honestly, your application of those laws in this specific debate feels a bit misplaced.

Furthermore, it strikes me as quite grounded that the current state of animal populations aligns perfectly with the law of karma—essentially, animals have nearly wiped out early humans...

Besides, there's a natural progression: plants draw energy from minerals, animals from plants, and humans from animals—it's all part of the natural order.

What kind of karma would a plant even have for consuming minerals?

It's a pointless argument to have. It’s been proven to you countless times—painfully so—that these vegetarian lectures directed at meat-eaters are completely misguided and counterproductive.

And if we're talking about cause and effect having actual consequences: if you truly understood the law of cause and effect, you wouldn't be posting this on an internet forum—and that goes for me, too.

Look, I actually fought the urge to say this last time, but I just can't hold it back anymore:

"Knowing things... it's a heavy burden." 🙄

Honestly, just let it go—whatever you're feeling, forget about it.

Are you perhaps a psychopath?

(And how is my post considered trolling, while your senseless rant about psychopaths isn't? 😕 You flatly told people who eat meat that they are psychopaths—or close to it—whereas I simply asked if you were one, purely for educational purposes 😁 (I don't mean that you actually are, but I do think you're a fanatic; surely you're smart enough to realize that yourself—and any kind of fanaticism is, by definition, destructive and harmful... It's always worth revisiting that thought and reflecting on it))

Thomas Stewart97 said:I can feel it—it just makes sense. Besides, how could I possibly know what kind of karma anyone carries?😕

Well, if you look a bit closer—or perhaps if you’ve come across some more reliable sources regarding these matters—it becomes quite clear 😕 that animals don't possess individual karma; they have a collective one.

It’s similar to how they don't have individual souls, but rather a shared soul for the entire species. That part is a harder pill to swallow, I suppose, but as for the whole concept of karma—assuming anyone actually understands it—this part seems fairly straightforward to me.

sad but true said:Look, maybe try reading your own post one more time. You might actually realize you just described yourself and every other vegetarian out there as nothing more than trend-followers—people doing it simply because it happens to be the "cool" thing to do right now.

If that’s really how you interpreted my point about collective amnesia and how easily society can manipulate that void, then I can't say I'm surprised by your outlook. It’s clear there’s a fundamental disconnect in how you perceive things. Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it’s just an intelligence issue. Did you have some ancestor who was a vegetarian, too?

Why on earth would you bring up those topics if you don't actually have a clue what you're talking about?
