@Thomas Stewart97, I sent you links regarding B-12 just a few pages back. You went quiet for a moment, only to resurface with the same old arguments.

It’s far more likely for an omnivore to struggle with a deficiency than a vegan.

Vegans actually require significantly less B-12 than the rest of the population.

Most vegans don't even bother with supplements because they simply don't need them; the B-12 present in a standard vegan diet is more than sufficient.

The whole B-12 scare is nothing more than a myth. It's a shame these internet trolls haven't figured out that the protein myth is just as fabricated, yet they still cling to it.

B-12 is produced by bacteria.

Just another 👎 acting as so-called "moderators."

I’ve been a vegetarian for 22 years now, and honestly, I haven’t noticed any deficiency issues myself—not even things like B12 or B-22...
One thing is for sure: a vegetarian's metabolism functions on a completely different level than someone eating meat, so those letters and numbers don't mean a damn thing in this context...

According to some researchers over in the UK, highly intelligent kids tend to lean toward vegetarianism as they get older. Their data suggests an average IQ of 106 for vegetarians and 104 for women following that diet, compared to 101 for non-vegetarians and 99 for women who eat meat.

What are your thoughts on this?

I’ve always had a bit of a hunch about this kind of connection—though, I have to admit, I didn't expect the gap to be quite this wide or statistically significant.

Honestly, a meat-eater is way more likely to run into vitamin deficiencies than a vegan is.

Vegans actually need significantly less B12 than everyone else.

Most vegans don't even touch supplements because they don't need them. Between what's naturally occurring and what's added to food, the average vegan gets plenty of B12 from their diet.

The whole B12 thing is just another myth. It's a shame those internet trolls haven't figured out that the "protein myth" is also a total fabrication, otherwise they wouldn't still be whining about it.

B12 is produced by bacteria.

Yeah, if I actually clicked every single link some nutjob throws at me, I'd probably end up on a flat-earth conspiracy site instead.🤣

If it's a myth, why is it all over American school textbooks? Are they intentionally lying to us just to sabotage potential vegans?🤣

You can’t argue with the data, even if you decide to go vegetarian.😁

Listen, Pig—the whole point is that you have to be veggie!

Alright, let's look at it this way then.

Do you guys take any kind of medication? Ever?

Every single approved drug on the market has been tested on animals first.

you just can't argue with the statistics😁

Oh, please, lady.

If you were a man, I suppose your IQ would be maybe two points higher.

But since you aren't—well, things are a bit silly.

And if you were a meat-eater, then you’d probably be completely dim-witted.

Maybe you could only hold a conversation at the level of "I eat"; "I sleep"; "I wash"; "I have kids"...

Why is it that women seem so much less intelligent than men?

What exactly is the cause?
Is it perhaps the diet?
Is it genetics?
Is it related to how they use—or don't use—their brains?
Or is it just because they don't really need intelligence?
What is actually going on here?

Disperadun said:Like, say you have a sugar rush today but actually need insulin? Do you even know how pharmaceutical companies produce it?

It's synthetic—mostly because it’s cheaper for them. I did a little digging myself (not that I personally need it, knock on wood)...

Honestly, I feel like there are some really silly prejudices floating around regarding vegetarians and diet in general... and then people go and act out—if you ask people WHY they are vegetarian, why do you feel so threatened or attacked when you get an answer? People ask me why I don't eat meat when they see my plate is empty, or when I turn down an offer, and then they start whining that I'm "imposing" my views on them just because I gave a straight answer!! 😕 I mean, what's your deal? That level of xenophobia isn't exactly healthy... Nobody is stopping you from eating meat, but if you're the one asking for an explanation, don't get defensive if you don't like what you hear. It's OUR life, and OUR decision.

And just to clarify my take on the plant vs. animal thing—I personally view animals as organisms much closer to me than plants are... which, honestly, feels a bit like borderline cannibalism. OF COURSE (!!!), that is strictly MY opinion and I'm not calling anyone else a cannibal—this is EXCLUSIVELY how I see things, just so we don't start a huge uproar here...

Even with plants, certain parts are basically designed to be eaten—especially fruits and seeds—so that animals can spread them over wider areas through their waste. In some cases (just some, mind you!), the plant doesn't even die—if I eat an apple, I haven't killed the tree. It would eventually rot and fall anyway to release the seeds. It's actually better if an animal comes along and eats it, since they'll spread those undigested seeds further afield.

As for this whole "witch hunt" vibe, it reminds me of the hostility toward people with homosexual orientations—it's like those old-fashioned small-town busybodies who gossip and stick their noses where they don't belong... in this case, sticking their noses in someone else's plate or bed. You guys are exhausting... eat whatever you want, who's stopping you? Seriously, find a hobby that's more productive than obsessing over everyone else's dietary habits.

Men being intelligent—specifically when it comes to being rational—seems to be the norm, whereas women tend to lead with emotion. Logic gets sidelined by feelings, and that’s why we end up where we are... but I guess that's just how it goes.

I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet, but in nature, predators seem to have a higher IQ than herbivores... I mean, how is a lion supposed to catch a gazelle if she's outsmarting him every single time 😕

Men seem to navigate space with more ease because they’re wired as hunters, whereas women tend to focus on the finer details since they were naturally gatherers...

Well, maybe a gazelle would catch a lion if she actually ate meat—but she doesn't... she just eats grass. Meanwhile, a lion targets the slowest or weakest member of the herd, which is really just nature's way of performing natural selection—it’s actually doing the whole herd a favor, in a way. Besides, females do most of the hunting in lion prides, so if we're following this logic, we could easily pivot this toward the whole "men being intelligent" debate and have a much more interesting discussion there...
And honestly, if lions were as brilliant as you claim, why wouldn't they just hunt an elephant? You guys are talking total nonsense.

But since you aren't, well, you're just a bit scatterbrained.

And if you were some kind of cannibal, you'd be completely brainless.

You’d basically only be able to communicate using phrases like 'I eat'; 'I sleep'; 'I wash'; 'I have kids'...

Why is it that women seem so much less intelligent than men?

What's the actual connection there?
Is it diet?
Is it genetics?
Is it how they use—or don't use—their brains?

Unfortunately, it seems like the world prefers women to keep their intellect tucked away. As soon as a woman shows even a hint of brilliance—well, everyone starts seeing her as a threat, doesn't it? Both men and women (specifically the ones who can't keep up with the guys)...

An intelligent man? Is that something you can eat? Never heard of it...

Look, there are just fewer smart people out there now, and there’s no
connection to gender or what you eat. I know plenty of vegetarians, and honestly, none of them are smarter—if anything, they're dumber. It’s pretty obvious why too, especially with how they constantly harp on it like picking a specific diet somehow makes them more "evolved" humans...
I know one guy who stays quiet about all this. I've made my own choices, I respect everyone else's, and I don't use lifestyle habits as the main way to split the world into geniuses and idiots...
That would be way too obvious and pretentious, wouldn't it?

what's the deal?

It's actually pretty simple!
Back in the day—during that brutal survival struggle--men were out hunting.
Women stayed back in the cave, keeping the fire going and waiting for the catch.
And they had to eat something while waiting.
He’s out in the field—eating fresh greens.
She’s in the cave—eating stored rations.
So, here's the takeaway.
Intelligence comes down to diet.
Specifically, fresh, plant-based stuff.
That's why man being intelligent is the norm.
The guy who didn't land the big kill—and stuck to the veggies instead—ends up smarter.

I think that clears everything up.
