Here’s the deal with Focus - $2000 - we get an album with 400 photos, one framed shot outside the album, and a 4-hour DVD (I asked how many DVDs come in a set, so I'm just waiting to hear back) featuring two short clips at the start, two at the end, and 200 thank-you notes.

quietcobra52 said:Honestly, they didn't do anything for me at the fair—even though they promised a discount. For our crowd of 400, between the cookies and the wedding cake, we ended up paying about $1167

Hey
quietcobra52, would you mind sharing what they charge per pound for the cookies? And if you have any idea about their cake pricing—like for just regular cakes or those fancy wedding ones? I'm trying to get a feel for the budget! Thanks so much! 🙂

Hit the Nikolin bridal sale in St. Louis yesterday... total scam!!!!!
The dresses were trash.. looked like they were from a hundred years ago.. absolute disaster.
Ended up heading over to Isabelle instead.. they have wedding dresses on sale too.. found the perfect one for $500.

We ended up going with Knežević Photography (out in suburban Ohio)...
A friend of mine worked with him for a wedding this past summer, and honestly, everyone was thrilled with the results. 🙂 He’s such a kind, easygoing guy, too—he really goes out of his way to make sure the couple gets exactly the kind of shots they're dreaming of. For our $1167 package, we're getting three DVDs, a massive album with about 300 photos if I remember correctly, and he even threw in some thank-you cards at that price point...
To me, it just goes to show that you don't need some massive, high-end studio to get incredible work done. 🙂

Hey ladies, I was wondering if anyone knows where I might find a decent folk band—maybe something along the lines of TSK—that’s actually versatile enough to play all sorts of music? We're looking for a group that would be willing to perform a full dinner set rather than just playing some background tunes, all while staying within a reasonable budget, I guess.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with TSK.

Just basic cakes—nothing to write home about. $37 We had about a dozen of them—just some teenagers hanging around a four-story building. What a mess. $177And they’re starting at $500—not even kidding—plus you gotta pay by the pound for the cake itself... seriously? $22

Maybe možda TS garav or a local tambura band...

Can I pick your brains for a second? I’m trying to figure out the math on how many lambs and pigs we actually need for a wedding reception with 350 guests in a banquet hall, followed by a lunch the next day for about 120 people. Everyone keeps telling me that 8 lambs and maybe 4 or 5 pigs should be plenty... apparently, there's this unofficial rule of thumb floating around that says you need one lamb for every 50 people and one pig for every 100.

What’s your take on this? How much meat are you all planning to order? I really need to get these orders placed soon, so I’d love to hear any experiences or opinions you might have...

Hey there! You might want to check out a group called the Varoški Bećari... they're pretty great.

I picked up a pound of cookies from Babin Greda. $21A wedding cake—$150 for three tiers of fondant... just a standard cake. $43

copperwolf122 said:So, I ended up booking Zoom... and honestly, the people they photographed are saying they’re great. They get the job done professionally and the shots aren't bad at all. Though, if I'm being real, Andrej Car is way better for photos. He works with them sometimes, but unfortunately, he was already booked for my date, so I just went with Zoom without him... I'll know more after May 24th...🙂

That was our experience too. But in the end, we were actually really happy with Zoom!!!

That’s actually enough. We had 300 people at our thing and we only did 7 lambs and 3 pigs, and that was even with over 100 people showing up for the lunch the next day!!!

Hey everyone, figured I’d jump in and help out a little too! My sister got married last year,
here are some shots. For the photography—we used a local pro studio in the Midwest—and honestly, the pictures turned out amazing
The venue was at the Grand Hyatt—such a gorgeous ballroom, seriously top-notch
For sweets, we went with Sweet Dreams Bakery—their cakes and pastries were incredible and didn't break the bank either
As for the music, the band was awesome
Anyway, hope this helps someone out there!

Hey, has anyone here actually taken a dance class over in Columbus? I'm trying to figure out what the damage looks like for a 5 to 10-hour block... 🙂 thanks

Well, you've got the SPU Phoenix program which runs for about two months. I also know there's a local dance studio called Leon that offers classes, and they do one-on-one sessions too! I'm not totally sure about the rates, but if you're on Facebook, just shoot them a quick message.

Leon's dance studio is truly top-tier....

1. at the end of the day, the performance simply has to be something unique and SPECIAL 🙂

Hey everyone!! Quick question for the group—has anyone actually caught the band Vogue from Indianapolis live lately? I’ve seen people raving about them on this forum before, but looking at the timestamps, most of those posts are from way back in 2011. It makes me wonder, are they still any good, or have they totally lost their edge?
