Run the test again! By the way—you didn't actually mention which specific test you were referring to...

I picked up a Prima stick. The pharmacist at CVS swore by its reliability.🤷

If you want my two cents—and I mean it sincerely—you should probably head over to the "Expecting Moms Vol. 4" thread... all the ladies there are currently in the thick of it, so they’ll likely have much more practical experience to share than I could ever offer! As for me, I haven't actually used that specific brand of test... I've always been a loyal Clearblue user myself.

Just grabbed a Prima stick! The folks over at CVS said they're super reliable—so fingers crossed!🤷

If my memory serves me right—and it usually does—those pregnancy tests have these two little windows. If you're actually pregnant, you should see lines in both of them. If only one shows up, then you aren't—but honestly, the best move is just to take another one... preferably first thing in the morning when you wake up.

When did you actually take the test? Most of these kits work by detecting elevated levels of hCG—the pregnancy hormone—in urine, and those levels typically don't spike until about two weeks after ovulation. If you tested too early, that explains the negative result. Either way, just run another one. And for what it's worth, price doesn't necessarily dictate reliability; it's more about the specific reagents used in the reaction. Some brands are sensitive enough to pick up lower hormone concentrations earlier, while others might require you to miss a period before they show anything. Just retest and you'll have your answer. There are plenty of other reasons why your cycle might be off, too. Good luck. 😉

I don't think you're making a huge deal out of it just because you held the window wrong. I always use a Clearblue stick and it's pretty much spot on for me, but I guess some people say you should buy another one just to be safe—or better yet, just go see a doctor at a clinic like Mayo Clinic.

Hey there.

So, I’ve officially entered the testing phase myself. My partner was running a bit behind schedule today, but—get this—he actually took a test. 😢

The test used: Clearblue Mini (the little strip kind)

As for the symptoms that make me think I might be pregnant: I've been dealing with bloating for almost two weeks now, increased saliva, a much stronger sense of smell, and I've been feeling dizzy all day long for about ten days. Plus, my bathroom trips have increased, and for the last three days, my breasts have started swelling and getting sore—which usually happens about ten days before my period starts and settles down around three days before, but this time it feels reversed. And then there's the nausea that's been hitting me since early this morning.

And the test came back negative....😢 😢

Has anyone else had this happen—where you get a negative result (ideally using the same brand) but you were actually pregnant? Like, did the positive line just show up a few days later?

🙏

In my experience, that test showed a positive three days before my expected period... I don't know... maybe try testing again tomorrow. Good luck!

Well, I tried testing on Saturday too—used a different sample this time—but nothing. 😢

Thanks.

I forgot to mention that I've been wiped out all day... I'm sleeping about 10 or 12 hours and still feel like I could go for more...😲 😁

But those symptoms seem a bit early for this... it's possible, but my gut tells me it might be premature. 🤷

If you're really worried, just go get a beta test done. That's the only way to know for sure what's going on.

Ladies, I am begging for some guidance here... so, I went ahead and took a pregnancy test this afternoon, even though my period isn't actually due for another two days, but I just couldn't help myself, I really couldn't :-)... and the test showed two lines, though, if I'm being honest, the second line in the pregnancy window wasn't quite full or super distinct like the instructions say it should be—it was more of a faint, subtle thing, sort of (=) like that.. does that actually count as a positive, or am I just getting my hopes up too high? Because, well, we desperately want a baby, but we haven't had any luck at all lately, and I remember taking a test from this exact same brand a few months back where there was absolutely nothing in that second window, which turned out to be correct since I wasn't pregnant then... so, I guess, if anyone out there has dealt with something similar, could you please let me know what you think...

I took a test 12 days after ovulation and there was barely a line! It was basically just a shadow.
I took another test the next day (Clearblue, $33 comes from the drugstore) and the line was totally visible.

So... congratulations, you're pregnant 🙂🙂😍

Well, I really hope you're right about my test results :-)))... because, I mean, I'm just not experiencing any of those classic symptoms everyone seems to talk about constantly... I am definitely feeling nauseous, but then again, I read somewhere that it might be way too early for that to be a real sign, and I feel absolutely exhausted all the time. But, you know, my breasts haven't gotten swollen or anything, and I haven't noticed any changes to my nipples either...

I took a test 14 days past ovulation and it came back negative

My period is late, but I honestly have a gut feeling that it's just coming. If nothing happens by June 1st, I’ll just run another test

If I were you, I'd just hang tight for a few more days. Once you're actually officially late (which I really hope you are!), try the test again.
Fingers crossed for you!

A line is a line.😍
The intensity of that color really just comes down to hormone levels, which are likely still quite low in your system right now.
Still, it's high enough to trigger that second line, isn't it?👍

Congratulations!!

Oh man, I was just as impatient! I actually did two tests in one afternoon, and both times the line was so incredibly faint I honestly thought I was looking at a negative. I decided to hold off for a few days, then finally tested using my first morning urine, and boom—a beautiful, clear positive!!! We are heading into our 13th week tomorrow! I am crossing everything that you get the same result 😍😍😍, sending so many good vibes your way!

Thank you all so much for the well wishes, ladies, and we are certainly praying this turns out to be the real deal... though goodness knows how I am going to manage to wait even a few more days before I can bring myself to take another test... oh boy...😍

I guess I should just come out and say it—that guy was a total bust!

I ended up picking up three more tests after being five days late, and every single one came back negative...😢

And then, suddenly...😲 😢

So, nothing for me this time around.

Sending all my best vibes to everyone else out there—I'm rooting for you all to get those positive results! 😍👍

Well, I suppose I should chime in here too, because I just went ahead and re-ran that Intim Plus test this morning and it came back negative—😢...which is just devastating, really, especially since my PrimaStick showed me a faint little positive line just a few days ago, so now I’m left feeling utterly heartbroken and, frankly, quite bewildered by the whole thing. My period hasn't even arrived yet, but I have this sinking, heavy feeling that there's probably nothing going on with a baby after all... 😢😢😢
