Got it. Thanks so much. 🙂

Help!
So, I took an Intim plus test yesterday. The result box clearly showed a minus, but the control line box—the one that's supposed to show if the test actually worked—stayed completely blank. Has anyone else dealt with this, or did I just screw up the process somewhere?
Thanks for the help!

That means the test failed. You'll have to try again.

If you followed the instructions right, then it probably isn't lying, but I guess it might just be a bit too early to tell.

It’s possible that since it's still so early, the results might not be giving you the full picture just yet—I guess. You might want to wait until the actual expected day, or maybe even a day after that, before you try running it again.

Writing this for a friend. She had unprotected sex back on March 21st, then got her period on April 12th. It wasn't her usual flow—lighter than normal, lasted three days, just... different. She’s convinced it was a false period. She’s already run four tests, all negative. Even went to the OBGYN; pelvic exam and ultrasound both came up clear. But the doctor made a total rookie mistake by telling her she should probably get a blood test anyway, even though he claimed it wasn't necessary. Honestly, I don't know how to calm her down when those four high-end tests were all negative. She’s been dealing with massive stress lately, plus she's been dieting and on antibiotics. After the exam, she had some brown spotting.

I mean, there’s really just such a tiny chance that four different tests and an OB-GYN would all be wrong at the same time. It feels almost impossible, honestly 😁
but I guess I don't quite get what you mean by a massive mistake on the doctor's part? 🤔

🤦He suggested she get some blood work done, maybe check for inflammation or whatever else mellowranger16 was mentioning earlier... just to be safe. If everything comes back within the normal range given the timing, and if those four tests are negative and the ultrasound confirms there's no pregnancy, then I really don't see the point in all this constant stress over it. 🤦

That's exactly what I tell her. (I actually know both the author of this post and the person being discussed).

Look, kid.🤣I get it. But she’s lost her mind and you can just...🙂She claims her chest hurts, like she hasn't mentioned it a thousand times already. I just told her straight—of course they hurt when you're wearing tiny bras and constantly messing with them.🙄

Hey ladies! Honestly, I’m not even surprised this is my first time posting here... I’ve been lurking and reading your threads for a long, long time.
I’ve got this thing on my mind—not really a "problem," per se, just feeling like I need to vent to someone who gets it, you know?☕
My period is late and I'm spiraling. I know, I know, there’s probably no actual reason for it, but please, I just need to hear some reassurance from people who’ve been there.🤣
My last cycle started on March 31st and wrapped up on April 4th. We had sex between April 6th and 8th—we used condoms every single time except for that one instance where he didn't finish inside, so... yeah. My cycle is usually pretty steady at 30 days, though lately it's been hitting on day 26, 27, or 28. By my math, I'm about four days late, and I feel like I'm losing my mind with PMS symptoms and these killer headaches... Out of pure panic today, I ran out and grabbed one of those pregnancy tests from CVS—don't kill me, I can't even remember which brand I bought. It came back heavily negative, but... the anxiety is just eating me alive. I know the odds are slim, but they aren't zero... please, give me some comfort or tell me what you think...🤷🙂

Alright ladies, I could really use some advice or perhaps a little guidance! My boyfriend and I have been intimate without protection (you know the drill... the "pull out" method). I’ve been tracking my cycle very diligently since about nine months ago last year, and it’s usually quite predictable—it has never gone longer than 34 days, except for once when I had a bad cold. To give you an idea, here are my recent dates: Dec 24–29; Jan 22–Jan 28; Feb 26–Mar 04; and Mar 28–Apr 02. Currently, I am about seven days late based on my longest cycle, yet I am experiencing absolutely NOTHING. Usually, about ten days before my period arrives, my breasts get quite swollen and tender, but this time? Total silence! We would love to start a family (if it happens, we'd be thrilled!), and life is pretty settled—I have a steady job, we’ve been together for years, and we live together. So far, I have zero pregnancy symptoms, though if I actually am pregnant, I honestly have no clue what signs to look for; I suspect it might still be too early to tell anything. I'm not looking for anyone to tell me "yes" or "no" just yet—I’d much rather wait until at least the 15th before I bite the bullet and take a test. What should I be paying attention to in the meantime? I'm not the type to experience heavy cramping beforehand, and I don't typically deal with PMS, mood swings, or irritability, so I can't rely on those usual cues to know my period is coming. Any tips or wisdom you could share would be wonderful!
In the meantime, I haven't noticed any changes in my breast size either; they are only slightly enlarged without any of that usual tenderness or tightness in my ovaries. It's all very inconclusive...
I assume I’ll head to CVS to pick up a test this weekend. My cycle has never been this late before, and I have that nagging feeling that the moment I finally buy a test, my period will decide to show up that very same day or shortly after! 😁

To be honest? Just go ahead and buy it—then you can actually 😁
.
If it’s going to arrive after the test is already over, then I suppose it might as well just happen that way—at least there won't be any unnecessary stress about the timing. For me, I think the uncertainty of not knowing would probably be the hardest part to deal with. 🤷

I went ahead and took a pregnancy test, but the result was negative. I’m feeling a little conflicted because my period still hasn't arrived, and I’ve noticed my breasts feel quite heavy and full—though thankfully not painful. There’s also some yellowish discharge, which doesn't have an odor. I can't help but wonder if it's too early for a test to pick up a pregnancy at this stage. Theoretically, ovulation might have occurred later than I originally anticipated, meaning the test might just be catching me too soon. My last cycle ran from March 28th through April 2nd, so I really should have expected my period by May 5th at the very latest. Is it possible it's simply premature for the test to show anything? I would truly value your insights—how many more days should I wait before trying again? The test is already sitting there, ready and waiting for the right moment.

So, we’re looking at a delay of almost ten or fifteen days now, right?
That would usually be pretty obvious by this point 🤷

Unless—and I’m just guessing here—your cycle has been completely thrown off track by something else, which might mean your last period was much later than usual, making this feel like only a few days late. But, if your cycles are typically quite regular... 🤷

If you're up for it, maybe try taking another test in a day or two—just make sure to use the first one from the morning.

Greetings 🙂

I find myself grappling with a classic dilemma that seems to plague many women in these discussions: Is there any possibility that I could be pregnant?
To provide some context, my partner and I typically use protection, but our most recent encounter (on April 7th) was unprotected, though ejaculation did not occur. My menstrual cycle is notoriously unpredictable—it fluctuates anywhere from 30 to 50 days—so my last period arrived on March 10th. Naturally, the paranoia has set in. Given how irregular my cycles are, relying on those standard fertility tracking apps or ovulation calculators is essentially useless for me. I have already taken five 😳 tests (Clearblue ones, which, if I understand correctly, don't strictly require that first morning urine) and they have all come back negative, with the most recent one being this past Friday. Now, I am wondering: is it physically possible for hCG levels to still be too low to register in urine? It doesn't quite pass the smell test for me, logically speaking, because a month after the fact, a test should surely show 🤷. Am I just letting my anxiety run wild here?

My cycle has always been incredibly predictable, and I’ve never had any issues with irregularity before. My husband and I started trying to conceive about six weeks ago, and my period is now just over a month late. Interestingly, right as I was heading out to pick up a pregnancy test, I was hit with some intense abdominal cramping followed by some bleeding. Now, I find myself hesitating to actually take the test; there is a certain fear in facing a result that might just be another disappointment rather than the news we're hoping for.
