It’s actually wild. You see women who swear they don't want kids getting pregnant from a single glance, right? Then you look at me. I'm perfectly healthy—my OB-GYN even told me straight up that my fertility is through the roof. Well, guess what? I actually wanted a baby. So, I played it smart, timed everything during my fertile window, and even had sex a few extra times when I wasn't peaking, just to be sure. And wouldn't you know it? I woke up this morning to a 😢
. I mean, I know it's technically possible to conceive while you're already pregnant, but honestly? I highly doubt 😢

You probably just missed ovulation... don't let it get to you. Don't be disappointed or angry. It'll be a long month.🙂

It’s my second day since my period was supposed to arrive. I took a pregnancy test, but it came back negative, even though I didn't use my first morning urine. My fertility app flagged ovulation at 20 DPO, but I’m fairly certain it actually happened on 19 DPO, which is when we had intercourse during our fertile window. I am still nursing four times a day, though I understand that shouldn't impact the hormone levels in my urine. Usually, my cycle is a very consistent 27 days, but right now, nothing is happening. What I really wanted to ask is: if my period doesn't show up, does it make any sense to just retest in a few days?

My period is two days late today, though I’m usually regular and expect it on the 27th. My Fertility Apps flagged ovulation at 14 days past ovulation, but I’m fairly certain it actually happened at 13 days past ovulation—meaning today would mark 9 days since my potential ovulation and intercourse. Given that I’m experiencing all the typical symptoms associated with pregnancy, I’m wondering if I should just wait and retake a test in a few days if my period still hasn't arrived?

Just try the test again. Honestly, at 12 DPO, you should already be seeing a positive result—you were definitely just testing too early!!!

Look, sweetie, since the odds of a healthy couple conceiving in one cycle are only about 20%, try not to beat yourself up. And whether you're "super fertile" or not doesn't really matter if your man isn't on board—it takes two, right? At the end of the day, some couples are perfectly fine and still struggle for months, even years 🤷

The standard advice is to focus on those fertile days—having sex every other day or even daily right before and after. That’s exactly what we did, and it worked immediately. 🙂
Getting pregnant on the first try happens occasionally... some women really do just have all the luck. 😁

Well, yes... I suppose I fall into that category of "lucky" women myself...
During my first pregnancy, we had sex on the fifth day after my last period ended; it also happened to be around New Year's, and my partner had to head out for an assignment two days later, not returning home for three whole weeks... so we just figured, whatever happens, happens... and it happened immediately...

And now, with this second pregnancy, it's a similar story... my husband is working away again, and it was only the third day since my last cycle started, so we honestly thought there was absolutely no chance... yet, when he finally makes it home for the weekend after three weeks away, I get to greet him with the news that I'm pregnant...

But hey, life is wonderful...

It totally makes sense to wait!
I actually took my first test the day before my period was supposed to start because I had an X-ray scheduled and was worried I might be pregnant. That test came back negative... thank goodness I decided to skip the appointment! 😉
Then I took a second test after being two days late, and it was negative again. I honestly thought I was losing my mind because I had such a strong gut feeling that I was pregnant—this being my second time.
The third test, which I took a week after my period was late, finally came back positive. 😁
I just thought... I knew it! 🤣

I'm 17, and about ten days ago, I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time... we used protection. My period was supposed to arrive three days after we hooked up, but it was late, and I finally got it yesterday. For that whole week, I was terrified I might be pregnant, even though I feel like it’s impossible since nothing broke and he didn't finish inside me. I've been traveling quite a bit over the last month, moving through different climates, so I'm thinking that's probably why my cycle was delayed... plus, my period feels different than usual this time. I've been reading online that some women experience bleeding even when they're pregnant... I'm honestly just wondering if I should go out and buy a test just to get this anxiety out of my head once and for all?

I was wondering how early a pregnancy test can actually turn positive—is there any way to know before my period is even due? For instance, my cycle is usually about 23 days, and I'm already on day 20. Is it too soon to see anything on a test? Honestly, I’m just so impatient because I really, really want to get pregnant right now!

Last time I was pregnant, I tried testing on day 18 of my cycle and it came back negative, then I waited until day 23 and finally saw a positive. I've been using an Intim Plus test, but does anyone have recommendations for another brand that's just as reliable?

It is most likely that you aren't pregnant, but honestly, go ahead and buy one just for your own peace of mind. You can find very reliable tests from $8.25 that are proven to work 😁😉

It is possible, but not guaranteed. Your best bet is to wait until a day or two after your expected period begins; that way, any test you take should be highly reliable.

You might see a plus sign 2-3 days before your period is actually due.
In my case, Clearblue showed a faint positive a few days early.
But look, if it shows a negative, don't panic—it doesn't mean anything for sure, it could just be a false negative.

Good luck!

On the 23rd day of my cycle, a Clearblue test gave me a positive result... I went to see my OBGYN, but an early ultrasound couldn't show anything yet. He told me it’s most likely a chemical pregnancy...
I think it’s better to wait until you actually miss your period before testing! That way you avoid all the disappointment.🙂

I took a test at 12 days past ovulation—just a faint line then—and then again at 14 days, where the line was much, much clearer.
Now I’ve just done one at 14 DPO using a Clearblue digital, and honestly, there isn't any doubt with that one. It gives you the result in just a few minutes, and if it's positive, it even estimates how far along you are—though I guess it calculates from conception. Apparently, you can use it up to four days before your period is actually due.

I wasn't particularly impressed with Gravidost, and I haven't heard much good feedback about it lately, either. The Clearblue Compact showed me a light line at 12 DPO, and PrimaTest showed a thin line later in the afternoon on day 12.

A few days ago, I took a pregnancy test and saw that positive sign in the little window—I was absolutely over the moon! 🙂)) But then, yesterday morning, I noticed some bleeding. I started panicking, so I headed to the ER in the afternoon. They ran blood work, my urine test came back positive, and let me tell me—waiting there for three hours was quite the ordeal... The doctor told me to reach out if I start feeling sick or have any pain. When I finally got home about an hour later, I went to the bathroom and noticed some clots—kind of a thick, mucousy texture, about the size of a medium grape 😢(( So, just to be safe, I snapped a photo. Now I’m honestly spiraling—not sure if I should head back to the ER or if I should wait and see a doctor tomorrow. This bleeding feels similar to a period, just not as heavy, which is making me even more confused ((( I'm just praying this isn't a biochemical pregnancy, because based on the math, the doctor said I'm about five weeks along... If anyone has gone through something similar, please, please share your experience with me... I had a totally smooth pregnancy five years ago with zero symptoms, so this whole thing is really rattling me 😢(((

Honey, please just go back to the ER! Tell them everything about the bleeding—I’m really hoping it turns out to be nothing serious!
Good luck! 😉

I have to agree with casualsurfer8—it might be a good idea to go double-check everything!

Wishing you the very best of luck 😉

Thanks for getting back to me—I actually managed to sleep through the entire day. I’m still bleeding, though it's tapering off a bit; no pain so far and I feel alright, even if she did tell me to head straight to the ER if things start hurting or get weird. 😢(It just doesn't make sense—my first pregnancy went totally smooth, so I can't wrap my head around this happening now. I don't get why I'm still bleeding, let alone this blood clot... 😢(((( I'll be at the OBGYN first thing tomorrow morning—fingers crossed everything is fine... I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks again!

I just got back from the OBGYN after having my levels checked again—hCG was at 164.52 last week, but today it dropped to 154.26. There was nothing visible on the ultrasound today, so I guess it was a miscarriage... damn. I just don't get it—how can everything go so perfectly with the first pregnancy and then this happens? 😢(((
