I recently went to a wedding where they served desserts from an unknown bakery based out of a small town near Philadelphia. You can find them on Facebook under their business name

They looked absolutely stunning and tasted even better... I'm not sure what they charge, but I'd definitely recommend them! 👍

Finally pulled the trigger on the cakes from Whole Foods: we're doing a mixed cherry parfait (that'll be the main wedding cake), some chocolate truffle, and a vanilla fruit parfait.
The frosting is whipped cream, but honestly, I can't stand fondant. 😲🙂 We’re looking at 170 guests total.

Those flavors were easily my favorites, and I really wanted to lean heavy on the parfaits. Since the wedding is in early September and we've already got a massive spread of food and desserts coming from Antunović, I don't want anyone having a heart attack from overeating.😁

What does a cake actually run you? We need one for that many people too, and I'm looking at those exact flavors.🙂

Right now, we're looking at roughly $767 total (1300+550+450).
Honestly, we don't expect more than 150 people to show up, but I'd rather have too much than run out halfway through the party.🙂

I'm having Angie's Cakes out of small-town Ohio whip it up for me 😍
They can stack it two or three tiers high—but it'll be the identical design 🙂

So, thanks blackpanther 😁 div>

Ugh, I can't find Angie’s Sweets on Facebook for the life of me? 🙈

I tried searching Google too, but literally nothing is coming up...

Can someone please drop a link!?

Has anyone here picked up cakes from the Nautilus in Cleveland? We go there all the time because their pastries are top-tier, but I’d love some actual feedback regarding wedding cakes. My plan is to go with five chocolate ones.

Hey guys... quick question here... how many cakes and pastries should I actually be looking at if I'm catering for about 250 people? Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue how much food is enough to go around without running out or having way too much left over.

If you’re ordering by the slice, we usually look at something around 250 servings. But, if you're baking full-sized cakes—say, using those standard 10 or 11-inch springform pans you find at Target—you can generally expect to get anywhere from 16 to 20 slices per cake, depending on how generous you want to be with the portions.

In my experience, when it comes to dessert, aiming for about 5 to 7 ounces per person is a safe bet.

ugh,
these cookies are seriously going to be the death of me. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

I mean, how is it even possible that I can't get one single straight answer from anyone I email???? Like, if I’ve got 90 people coming to my wedding, how many pastries am I supposed to order for a dessert buffet?! I actually talked to someone at a local bakery here in Chicago, and they had the nerve to tell me that you should serve less per person, but when I tried to follow up and ask what "less" actually meant, they just completely ghosted that part of my email 😠 🙂.....

Has anyone here actually pulled off a massive DESSERT BAR WITH MINI COOKIES AND TRUFFLES at their wedding????

Please, please, please give me some advice on how you made it work without losing your mind! 🙂

We went with a dessert buffet style, and honestly, it turned out pretty great.
They sliced up the cake and brought it around to the tables first, then just let everyone know the dessert spread was officially open—we actually set it up a bit later on purpose since that’s how we planned it, though we could've done it sooner if we felt like it—and invited everyone to help themselves. It didn't take much of an announcement at all... 😁
I think it worked out well because they kept topping everything off if things started running low, and you know, I once went to this wedding where they put individual plates of sweets on every table... it was a mess! People were constantly getting up to scavenge from other people's tables once their own stash ran out, and some guests just refused to move, so they ended up missing out entirely.

Thanks, thanks, thanks for getting back to me! 😍

Which bakery did you get that dessert buffet from?

And do you have any idea roughly how many pounds that was, or how many people it actually fed? 😕😕 😕

I went to this wedding once that had a huge dessert spread instead of a traditional cake, and honestly, it was such a vibe.

For anyone asking about where I got my sweets, I actually ordered them from Oreo in Warsaw
$0.67per piece, and honestly, they are absolutely delicious—nothing like those dry little treats you find in New York City catering shops that pass for wedding desserts.

They have over ten different varieties on their wedding menu, and if you have a specific craving for something else, they’re actually super open to custom requests...

According to them, if you're planning for 10 guests, you should grab about a kilogram, which works out to roughly 35 pieces...

The best part is that the textures are so rich and creamy, unlike those stale, crunchy things that sit on a shelf for ten days straight.

Definitely do a quick search online to check them out...

I can even have them sent via Greyhound if nobody is able to swing by and pick them up, since they're pretty easy to ship without any fuss.

So, for our big day, the catering company handled everything—dinner, all the desserts, even the cake—we used a local favorite, Gordon Food Service. Honestly, I have no clue about the total weight because they just charged us per head and it was all bundled together... we didn't really think to ask! But hey, nothing ran out in the middle of the party, which was the absolute most important thing for us. When they started packing stuff up at the end, there was still plenty left—some things were totally gone, but other bits were still hanging around...

Calling all newlyweds and married ladies out there—did you actually bother with those little bride and groom figurines on top of your wedding cake, and if so, where on earth did you find them? Honestly, every single one I’ve come across so far has been totally tacky. 😉

I saw maybe ten different styles at a Whole Foods last week. They’ve got couples dancing, some carrying each other, even ones on motorcycles... they were just in a display near the main entrance on the left. I think they cost about $33

We used to have bunny feasts, quite tasty 😁
They had all sorts of animals at Monica's—part of the whole cake experience.

Hope this comes through

$0.67per slice, and honestly, they’re incredible—nothing like those overpriced wedding cakes you find around NYC.

There are some really great wedding cakes in New York, though. I've tried the Southern style too, just so we're clear.😁

You can actually find a bunch of different styles at a place like this:
