Guess I’ll finally get to see this answer posted twice too...

Anyway, this is news to me. Didn't realize they started making their own cookies... I'll have to look into that.

crimsoncyclist2, why don't you just grab some cookies from Small House while you're at it?

Do you have any idea how many pounds they've got there, Zachary Gray35?
Maybe I will find out... since my place in Chicago is closer...

Hehe, if I even knew where Brooklyn was 😂 THANKS anyway

Not sure what the price is these days, but when I ordered about a year and a half ago, it was $20... It takes some time for them to get the delivery sorted out... basically, they bring over the cookies you need, all packed up exactly how you agreed. When they came to my place, they had everything pre-portioned onto paper plates based on what I asked for, and just left the rest sitting on the table. There were even a few extra pounds tucked away in a refill box.... Honestly, they're great because they're super flexible with everything you want to work out... plus, the cookies are killer.

That way, when the servers start making their rounds, nobody will even realize the difference 😁 (at least, that's what we were told)

Lizzy, thanks for the tip! 😁 I totally get that we don't need one giant cake for everyone, but I really didn't want a bunch of separate cakes cluttering things up. That's why we wanted just one big centerpiece—though obviously, we don't want it looking like a massive truck tire or something ridiculous... Actually, my fiancé is a long-haul trucker 😁, so maybe a tire wouldn't be a bad idea? His could be a wheel and mine could be a soccer ball (I live for soccer!). But yeah, we'll probably go with something a bit more classy 👍
Once the wedding is over, I'll post a photo (well, a massive photo) so you guys can see how it turned out.👍 Btw, we ordered from Kasnar's bakery.

Guys, I seriously need some help here... I’ve been scrolling through every single thread, and I know I saw someone post a photo of those cakes being carried on a bike—you know, using a cake stand attached to the rack. I downloaded it at some point, but now I have no clue where it went! Can someone please, please just point me in the right direction?

I'm pretty sure a brand like Kasnar carries something like that, but I can't say for certain if it's the exact one. Just go check their website...

Check out our cake 😍
ours is the only one with three tiers...

EVERYONE PRAISES THAT LITTLE LOCAL BAKERY...
they’re such sweet people, you can basically negotiate anything with them... honestly, just wonderful 😁

It was a total nightmare finding them. I asked around my neighborhood in Brooklyn, and nobody even knew what street they were on, even though they live right next door 😂
I spent nearly two hours hunting them down... 😂

And the cakes (not those dry ones you usually see at weddings, but actual bakery-style treats)... I ordered 10 different kinds 👍

Here's the breakdown:
Tier 1 (our 🙂 favorite): chocolate parfait
Tier 2: chocolate sponge with vanilla pudding and fruit
Tier 3: chocolate hazelnut

Hey there! I’m pretty new here and just started scrolling through all these amazing cakes, but yours totally caught my eye since my whole theme is centered around hearts (think heart-shaped invitations and those cute little red candy hearts). I was wondering if you could give me a ballpark figure on what a cake like that would run me? Also, would we need to go with three tiers for ours too? Thanks!

Hey everyone, listen up—I just heard some pretty unsettling news about that "balsam" frosting they use to make those fancy cakes look all perfectly smooth and picture-perfect; apparently, it tastes absolutely revolting, so most people just end up tossing it out, yet customers are still consuming whatever is trapped underneath that thick layer of fake goodness!!🤷
Because of that, I’ve officially decided to pass on those overly stylized cakes; we're going to stick to making real, homemade treats using nothing but honest, high-quality ingredients!😁

I actually ordered a small cake with that ticino stuff for Easter just to test it out. I'd heard the rumors about the taste too, but I figured I should probably see for myself.

For 250-300 guests, you're looking at $4,500...

@Larry Hall... thanks 😍

Ah, I see, I see! That's actually pretty clever! They wheel out one fancy showstopper for the photos, and then the kitchen just keeps sending out the "edible" versions... honestly, that sounds like a brilliant plan to me.

I’m not exactly a huge dessert person, but if I had to pick, I’d take Tic Tacs over marzipan any day. Honestly, my cake isn't getting either one—it's just gonna be straight whipped cream, purely because my bank account says so 😁.

When I'm busy working on a cake... I somehow always find myself avoiding marzipan altogether.... people just don't seem to care for it... so I guess I was thinking about sticking with frosting instead... it matters more to me that the cake tastes good to everyone...

I’m sticking to my guns on the single cake idea. Can you even imagine the look on my crew's faces—all 500 of them—if I showed up with some massive, oversized monstrosity? 😂
It’s gonna be epic!

Sean Ruiz86, I suppose the bigger the cake, the better...

Well, personally, I am all for a massive cake... though I don't host huge crowds myself... but still... I have made it very clear to everyone that they should prepare themselves for dessert, and I certainly won't tolerate anyone claiming they don't like sweets or some other excuse when the time comes 🤣

I’m honestly just sitting here wondering how I’m supposed to tackle an entire cake and then wash it all down with champagne. It sounds like a total disaster.🙂 My cake is going to have frosting and actually look decent—not like those overpriced nightmares where they charge you a fortune for nothing. Sure, you can go simple with the icing, but let's be real: nothing beats a high-end bakery from a place like Magnolia Bakery when it comes to style.
