Basically, this is what happens when you go way overboard with wedding planning! 🙂

That is quite enough cake for one day! Honestly, I feel a bit nauseous just looking at it all! 🙂

Oh man, this little hedgehog thing is absolutely precious!!! Where on earth did you find it? I’d love to get one for my partner's birthday! Their absolute favorite childhood book was "Ježurka ježić".

To be perfectly honest, I haven't the slightest clue where I stumbled upon it. I just typed "wedding cake" into Google and—presto!—there it was!

What a shame. It looks like we can't find anything like that here in the States. I might try showing a photo to a local bakery and see if they'll attempt a custom build for me.

Unfortunately, that's about your only option! 🤷 Good luck! 😍

Hi there!
I came across a recommendation for a little bakery called The Cookie House recently, and I was wondering if anyone here has actually tried them out—specifically, is the pricing a bit steep? I was browsing through some vendors at the State Fair in Chicago and asked about the cost of a cake for roughly 100 guests, and they told me it would run somewhere around $500, depending on the design and ingredients, of course. Does that sound reasonable to you all, or am I being overcharged? Honestly, I haven't even officially started my search yet, and the whole process feels a bit overwhelming since I have no idea where to even begin... I would truly appreciate any advice or suggestions you might have🙏 so I can start hitting up local bakeries and tasting everything🙂... though I’m slightly worried about what all this sugar might do to my waistline.😂
Thanks!

Hey, bluegull, those other two you posted earlier look absolutely delicious to me... so I thought I’d share a few more beauties that caught my eye.

I’m officially tapping out. I can't even look at this anymore—there are so many damn cakes on display that my brain is actually short-circuiting trying to pick one. Honestly, no joke... I have zero clue which one to go for.image

There is something remarkably sophisticated and unconventional about this one:

If I ever decide to go all out, these are exactly the colors I'd want:

bluegull, that seems excessive for just 100 people. We're paying $833 for our group of 270 using that white filler instead of the straw... if we used the straw, it would be $167 cheaper...

Man, this last one is absolute gold! I honestly can't imagine how anyone would even react to something like this at a wedding. It’d be a total disaster, right?🤷😂😂😂

It looks totally legit; I mean, anyone who's been married for a long time would probably see it that way 😂 😂

Yeah, I have to agree, that feels like an excessive amount, especially after scrolling through some of the discussions here on the forum🤷
I also wanted to see if anyone here has actually used Magnolia Bakery before?😕 They don't even have a functional website, and all I managed to get from them was a single promotional flyer. It's making it a little difficult for me to get a solid estimate...
So, if anyone happens to have any insight or intel, I'd certainly appreciate it 🙏

So, I just swung by Whole Foods to ask about that specific cake—you know, the one I’ve been obsessing over...$833 but get this, they have this massive thing where it’s basically six different cakes rolled into one, and there are like 200 slices available in that single display🙂
