So, I guess it doesn't really matter that all the banks are closed today? xD
By the way, about that routing number—I don't think it was even an option when I tried making a deposit last time... that specific bank code
If you wouldn't mind double-checking that and letting me know, 🙂
just so I don't mess this up.

Anyway, thanks so much, you've been a huge help.🙂

I’m pretty new to the world of finance. Up until now, my idea of "money" was just whatever cash I had sitting in my pocket—but I finally went ahead and opened an account at JPMorgan Chase... everyone in my circle uses them, and honestly, I didn't want to reinvent the wheel since I'm still learning the ropes. Anyway, they handed me this little hardware token—the kind with that keychain attachment—which, let's be real, I'm definitely not going to be walking around with in public because it looks pretty tacky. Apparently, it’s what you need to access online banking. So, I’m following the instructions, generating my PINs, and I finally make it to the login screen. It asks me to enter the OTP code... easy enough, but then it starts asking for a "token number." Now, where on earth is that? I’ve flipped through their entire little guidebook and found nothing. I tried the number on the back of the device, but no luck. I tried my PIN... still nothing.

Does anyone actually know what this "token number" is supposed to be, or where I can find it?

It really ought to be specified on the back. You should just enter the digits—no hyphens or anything like that. Just the numbers themselves. Also, if you received your token today, there's a chance it hasn't been activated in the system yet.

I was just trying to settle my American Express bill through the JPMorgan Chase app—everything is saved in my templates, just a few clicks and I'm done—but it won't let me...😲..it keeps throwing an error saying: invalid call to number 🤷

I haven't even gotten the actual payment slip in the mail yet (the mail carrier hasn't been around lately—you know how it is when the local government is dealing with 😁 nonsense)—so I guess I'm stuck waiting until tomorrow to give them a call..

Honestly, I have no clue if there's been some massive overhaul in the US banking system lately or what...

wanderingharbor61, as far as I know, nothing's changed. I paid my American Express back around Feb 1st and everything went fine, just like any other month. Didn't change a thing except the amount.

I hit that same timeframe with a different American Express card and it worked fine... but now? It's just refusing to go through.

So, I'm trying to pay my tuition through Google.
Basically, I enter the reference number and my Social Security number, leaving the first two digits of the model field blank. It just keeps throwing an error saying the authorization code is invalid.
Does anyone know if I should be entering 00 or 01 there?🤷
The funds are sitting in my Chase account, but I'm trying to pull the payment from my main checking account.
Thanks!

Hey there. I’ve run into a bit of a snag. The serial number on the back of my token has 10 digits instead of the usual 8. Does anyone know which specific numbers I should be using here?

Unless they went and changed something behind the scenes, the token should just have 8 digits and 2 dashes ("-") in this format: x-xxxxxx-x. Just type in only the numbers and skip the dashes altogether.

They changed things up. Now you’ve got ten digits and two dashes, yet they’re still demanding an eight-digit code to log in.

Well damn, no clue then. Just try bluffing it with those middle 8 digits and see what happens.😁 You could also check whatever manual came with the token—I doubt it's not in there somewhere.🤷

I’m not entirely sure if this is the right sub for this kind of thing, but I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction...
I'm trying to figure out if there's any way to actually check my permitted overdraft limit through the Chase app...
thanks

Is it actually possible to just transfer money from my own foreign currency account directly into my standard US checking account without running into a bunch of headaches or losing a massive chunk to fees?

Or am I stuck having to physically walk into a Chase branch, withdraw the cash from the foreign account, and then go through the whole hassle of redepositing it into my domestic account...

I noticed an option for it in the online banking interface, but honestly, I’m not about to gamble with my balance just to see if their system works, so I figured I’d ask here first. 🙂

Honestly, you can totally knock that out using foreign currency transfers. It’s actually a bit of a better deal since the exchange rate is slightly more favorable that way. If any part of the process feels a little fuzzy or confusing, just give our help desk crew a shout at 1-800-567-890 and I can walk you through the whole thing step-by-step. 👍

Hey there! I’ve run into a bit of a snag. I just set up online banking with JPMorgan Chase and got my hardware token. I went ahead and changed the initial PIN they sent me, but now I can't get in. Every time I try to log in to the portal, I enter the number from the back of the token into the token field along with the App1 code, but it just keeps hitting me with an "incorrect login info" error and telling me to call the help desk. It won't even tell me if the token number or the App1 code specifically is wrong—it just says everything is incorrect. I really need to pay a bill urgently, so this is pretty stressful. If anyone knows what might be going on, please let me know. Thanks!

Make sure you enter the token number without any dashes. Double-check that you're typing every digit correctly. That should fix it.
