I can't log into my Chase app right this second, but I suspect this might be tied to those new rules where transactions don't actually clear until the following day if you pay in the afternoon. Last weekend, I made a purchase and the charge didn't officially process until Monday; it was basically just sitting in limbo, and the money hadn't actually left my balance yet. You should check your available balance. If the total hasn't dropped yet, the transaction is clearly still pending.🤷

Yesterday was a total mess. Transactions were going through just fine, but the app wouldn't even launch... It’s finally working now, though.

Now we just wait to see what kind of move they make. They’ve offered a few similar deals for free in the past—no strings attached. But if you ever decide to close out an account, you're either going to have to hand back the token or face a fee.

Basically, you're just performing a self-transfer—moving funds from one pocket to another, so to speak.

I’d imagine it shouldn't be an issue at all—it seems like such a straightforward thing—but I figured I'd check just in case anyone here has already tried it or has some firsthand experience to share..

If you just go through the online bill pay section, you can actually list yourself as the recipient! Just plug in your own account number in the recipient field, and you're good to go. That way, you can shuffle cash between pretty much any of your own accounts without any hassle.

Up until today, I’ve been paying all my bills without a hitch, always getting that immediate confirmation that the transaction went through. Everything was fine. But today, while my heating bill cleared instantly, my electric bill is just sitting there marked as "pending."
What does that actually imply? Why is it stuck in limbo instead of processing right away?

Yeah, if you pay later in the afternoon, they won't actually pull the funds until the system is back up, so expect it the next morning. Same goes for Friday afternoons—if you pay then, they won't grab the cash until Monday morning!

Yes... in the afternoon. Or more accurately, this evening. One payment went through just fine, but the other hasn't cleared yet—it's still "pending."

If I remember right, they take a cut if you’re just transferring funds within Zillow, since it stays all in-house and they don't have to move it through external banks... 🤔

The Fedwire system—you know, the big network used for all those non-bank transfers—takes over any incoming orders by 2:30 PM on business days. Anything that misses that cutoff window just sits there until the next business day kicks in.

So, I'm wondering if it's actually possible to just transfer money to another account online through JPMorgan Chase.

Sure—you can send the payment to a different account within Zillow, or just direct it to an account at another bank altogether.

Where and how?

Open a payment account
Enter the recipient's info and their routing and account number
Then just push the transaction through

Totally, as long as she’s already set up with auto-pay... not sure if she's actually got that part sorted yet though!
