Quote: silenthawk11 said:Why don't you just admit that you listen to Thompson and call it a day? πŸ˜•I am fairly certain that such an admission won't ruin your reputation in polite society.

😁 I listen to him, I sing along πŸ™‚ and honestly, I probably do it better than he does

Besides, the only opinion I actually care about is that of my own political party πŸ₯³

What kind of disgrace is this? It is truly shameful when the President and the Prime Minister of America sing communist songs. THE PRESIDENT and THE PRIME MINISTER. Thompson is just a musician, and his fans are simply his fans.

Aha, I see how it isβ€”you're just worried that his fanbase consists solely of little kids chanting old-school radical anthems or some pro-revolutionary crowd 🀣 😁

For everyone else, it might just be a bit awkward if they happen to stumble upon some right-wing musical nonsense by MPTβ€”given those reasons I mentioned earlier... and that one verse where you all pretend to be obliviousπŸ™„

As for the PRESIDENT and the PRIME MINISTER singing *communist songs*β€”well, yes, it is true 😁 😁 Do I really have to remind you about the Constitution and all that other blah blah... you know, that whole string of empty phrases
There is no proof that any of the soldiers mentioned in that controversial song ever committed a crime against civilians. If you consider both the Royalists and the Partisans to be civilians in your book, then that is a different story entirely.

😳

I have absolutely nothing to say to this creepy nonsense

Please allow others the right to judge according to their own party's views.

Ah, I seeβ€”you just want your fans to be nothing more than drooling kids chanting fascist anthems or a revolutionary crew that’s hyper-aware of pro-fascist ideologies.

You're just bitter because they aren't singing songs that suit your tastes. For instance, imagine if they sang alongside Mason or Račan. Just think about whether there is a single musician in all of America who could fill arenas across the country, in Herzeg-Canada, and among the diaspora by singing about Marshall, the Partisans, and those other red bastards. 🀣Just picture that scene, for heaven's sake. You'd be left with Mason and a few thousand old vampires gathering in Kumrovec. 😁😳

It might just be an awkward situation for everyone else if they happen to show up at some right-wing music festival hosted by MPTβ€”given everything mentioned before... as if that lyric isn't obvious to everyone.

Don't say everyone else. Say: Americans and Mexicans.

Do I really have to remind you about the Constitution and all that blah blah... you know, that whole string of clichΓ©s?

The Constitution should be changed. Otherwise, stop worrying about appearances for the outside world. On the ground, things were happening quite differently.

No comment on this creepy nonsense.

Put the proof in the sun. If you don't have any, then it would be better to remain silent. πŸ™‚πŸ˜³

So why doesn't he just take that influence and tell THE PEOPLE, hey, let's sing some of my songs... stop playing that *dawn is breaking* stuff..

you know? It's pretty simple

And WHY WOULD he, I don't know, sing THAT which the people won't mention in their HEART😍

Here we go, THEY are singing PATRIOTIC ROCK and I guess 😬nobody thinks dirty personsπŸ˜‰

Stomp your feet

One day when this war finally ends
I can't wait, friends, to give you all a hug
Sometimes I just sit here alone and sing for you

Stomp your feet, say this is everything for America (not talking to you) 😁
Kiss the flag and let out a sincere tear
Oh God, please watch over our pigeons and the poor
Because the rich will look out for themselves anyway

There are days when I don't know what to do with myself
Because Sunday games without you just don't do it for me
And when night falls, I call out your names
You guys have been covered by flags and moss

And I just sit here alone, sometimes singing for you

One day when this war finally ends
Man, I can't wait, friends, to give you all a hug (not you)😁
Oh God, please watch over our pigeons and the poor
Because the rich will look out for themselves anyway

Stomp your feet, say this is everything for America
Kiss the flag and let out a sincere tear (this isn't for you either) 😁
Oh God, please watch over our pigeons and the poor
Because the rich will look out for themselves anyway

Stomp your feet, say this is everything for America
God, watch over our pigeons and the poor (they aren't talking about you here) πŸ˜‰
Stomp your feet, say this is everything for America
Stomp your feet, and say this is everything for America
Stomp your feet, say this is everything for America

I have unfortunately never had the chance to attend one of their concerts. I haven't seen Guns N' Roses either, nor Def Leppard. Honestly, there are just so many incredible bands out there. 😁

I forgot to mention the dirty person band. They are actually quite good. πŸ‘

And it isn't just AC/DC (who is easily my number one favorite), but, as silenthawk11 pointed out, Guns N' Roses, πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™ Metallica, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, Supertramp, The Black Crowes, and that whole crew...
As far as more recent bands go, I'm really into The Cranberries. πŸ™

I have to admit, though, seeing Bon Jovi live has always been a total dream of mine. 😳 😳

I actually missed out on seeing Dire Straits back in 1984 when they kicked off their world tour in Split due to some bad luck and pure ignorance. 😒 πŸ™‚

😁

I recall attending a concert by The Cranberries right here in New York. As Marijan Ban sang "to my beautiful one," there wasn't a single political hat or flag in sight. Yet, the crowd was unmistakably American, mostly hailing from California. They simply sang and danced together.

Can anyone truly imagine a scenario where immigrants or the children of immigrants would show up to such a concert wearing Partisan hats while singing "to my beautiful one?"

To be perfectly clear, whenever a concert is held within the diaspora, it inherently carries a national character. These musicians travel from America, not from Mexico. They come from America, not from America. They come from America, not from Germany. Americans gather because they are coming from America, and they sing in the American language.

Could you really picture young people at an event like that cheering for Marshall, the liberation movements, or the "liberators"? Or perhaps harmoniously breaking into "through forest and mountain?"

Recently, the dirty person band held a concert in New York, specifically at the American center in the middle of Manhattan. I wasn't personally there, but I have attended their shows in that same building among that same crowd before.

Now, imagine if during that concert, just as Mladen Bodalec begins to sing "to my mother" or "Rose of America," a group of youths adorned with red five-pointed stars suddenly started singing praises to Marshall and his liberators during the intermission.

The conclusion is simple: it is impossible. Why? Because Americans are not Americans. America was never America. And the Partisans did not create America.

It’s funny how people suddenly claim to be ultra-nationalists in only after this "third January dictatorship" rolled inβ€”you know, right when they started pulling programs about veterans, the war, and the American memorial off of HRT.

If they have become in, it is undoubtedly because of what you wrote above. It is nothing more than a pure expression of rebellion.

Regarding Thompson, it is also undeniably true that the socio-political climate in the USβ€”where a minority in politics and media attempts to terrorize the majorityβ€”contributed to his sudden rise to fame. This artist and his concerts have become, I wouldn't call them political rallies, but rather patriotic gatherings. He performs for crowds that simply refuse to tolerate lies and historical revisionism; people who are deeply aware of everything that transpired in our recent past and who possess pure hearts and minds. They simply will not settle for the current state of affairs.

did you see they’re teasing a Bon Jovi show at the Rose Bowl this July!? I just really hope it doesn't turn into a total disaster like when Metallica played in NYC😁

Anyway, reading that totally reminded me of this buddy of mine who used to front a trash metal bandβ€”you know, one of those groups that was actually pretty legendary within the local underground scene hereπŸ˜β€”and he used to absolutely trash bands like Bon Jovi or Aerosmith and all that stuff. So, I end up hanging out at his place, and naturally, Bon Jovi comes on, so I ask him what his deal is with them... and he just rolls his eyes and goes, "Ugh, my wife listens to this stuff." And man, the conversation went something like this: "Hey Jacob Moore61... (to his husband) can you please turn that down? Do you seriously have to blast those metal guys all day!?"😁 😁

Honestly, your comment reminded me of this buddy of mine who fronted a trash metal bandβ€”pretty well-known in certain underground circles back in the day πŸ˜β€”who used to absolutely tear into bands like Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and the rest of that crowd. Anyway, I end up over at his place, and naturally, he's blasting Bon Jovi. When I ask him what the deal is, he just rolls his eyes and goes, "Oh, this is what women listen to." And sure enough, the conversation went something like this: "Hey Spawn... (to his husband) can you turn that down? Do you really have to listen to those metal guys all the time!?" 😁 😁

If he was playing around the early nineties, maybe 91 or 92, the name might ring a bell... wasn't it Distortion?

Only your thumb? 😳

I actually ended up climbing over people just to get close enough to the barricade, and they basically tossed me over the fence like a stray dog... I was halfway through a buzz and tried to make a run for the stage, but no luck... four security guards grabbed me and hauled me out to the parking lot... honestly, they treated me like I was some kind of hardened criminal... 😳
