Basically, I placed a bet on Unibet for Degen (a Basel player) to pick up a yellow card. I was watching, saw he subbed in at the 63rd minute, and he didn't get a card for the rest of the game. I lost my money; when I checked Unibet, they refunded my stake because he wasn't a starter. As far as I know, back home, if you play just 3 seconds, it counts as an appearance.

Is Esi betting on Philip or David?🤷

You've got two Degens, so maybe you won't even hit that...

You're right—there are three Degens in total, two of them and myself, which is how I got mixed up. 😁
I wasn't even paying close attention; I just confidently placed my bet on whoever was playing for Liverpool.

I don't think I've ever actually seen something like this pop up on a sportsbook before, though I suspect it won't be the last time I'm surprised by these things. 😢

Kizo, which sportsbook are you talking about? William Hill?

skybet.com is a high-rated, reliable bookmaker with a solid B+ rating, and I personally know several folks who have placed bets there.

According to http://www.sportsbookreview/sportsbooks/ratings/, they are currently restricted only within the USA.

I suppose this might be linked to America joining the European Union—which would theoretically mean that all international bookmakers within the EU would have to comply with American laws.

However, it also implies that every EU-based operator should hold the exact same standing in the American market as local ones. I guess it will be quite interesting to see how things unfold regarding that.

On the other hand, I notice that a significant portion of the largest and most popular betting sites are registered in places like Gibraltar, Curacao, and similar offshore havens. It seems likely that those companies (like Pinnacle, Betfair, and many others) will just continue operating as they always have.

The restrictions they impose on American citizens probably stem from the fact that their owners might be incorporated within the US, making them vulnerable to potential sanctions from the American government. It’s perhaps for that same reason why most Swiss and Liechtenstein banks have stopped opening accounts for American citizens—since their US branches could face severe sanctions in such an important market.

I need some urgent help here,

I just transferred funds from my Moneybookers to bwin after taking a break from the site for a few months. The money was pulled from my Moneybookers account without any issues, but it’s been nearly 24 hours and there’s still nothing showing up in my bwin account.

Here’s the situation (though I can't seem to find a fix, no matter what I try):

Thank you for your e-mail.

While reviewing your request, we noticed that the email address you used doesn't match the one we have on file for your account.

You're free to update your email address whenever you like by heading to "Personal Details" within the "My Account" section. Just remember, if you want to actually receive our emails—things like password resets or newsletters—you'll need to verify the new address. Here is how you do it:

1) Log in to our site using your user ID and password.

2) Navigate to "My Account" and then select "Personal Details."

3) Use the messaging tool in the far-right column to request a confirmation email be sent to your new address.

4) Once that arrives, simply click the "Please click here to confirm your e-mail address1" link, or copy and paste the link provided into your browser.

Alternatively, we can handle the change for you. However, because we take security seriously, we'll need you to provide the following info first:

- Your user ID:
- Your full name:
- The address registered to your account:
- Your old email address:
- Your new email address:
- Your date of birth:

As soon as we get those details, we'll swap the email over. To help us move things along quickly and accurately, please make sure to mention the reason for your inquiry in your message.

Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

The bwin customer service team

If you can't manage to change your email address yourself, try doing it under section
.
Just reach out to the sportsbook's live chat or shoot them an email—whatever works—and tell them you need to update your email address manually.
They’ll ask you to verify all those details listed under section f) in your post, and once that's done, you're all set.

Just hit up the sportsbook's live chat or shoot them an email—whatever works—and tell them you need them to update your email address for you.
They’ll ask you for all those details listed under section f) in your post, and that should wrap it up.

But see, that's exactly the thing. Changing the email itself isn't the hurdle; I already did that, saved it, and moved on. The real headache is this part:

3) Request that an e-mail confirmation be sent to your new e-mail address via the message in the right-most column.

4) In this e-mail click on the command “Please click here to confirm your e-mail address1” or enter the attached link in your web browser.

It's just not there. Where is it? There is absolutely no way for me to find where to trigger a re-verification of the email. I have no idea what's going on now; until recently, everything was smooth sailing and my deposits were hitting instantly. Now, my money is just... floating in limbo!! It's not in my Moneybookers account, and it's not at the bookie either. 🙂

And they aren't even responding to my emails. It's been 14 hours already. 🙂

What kind of unprofessionalism is this? A total disaster.

I suppose my recommendation would be to follow what James Taylor3 advised—essentially, initiate the formal procedure so they can resolve it internally—and just be prepared to wait. I imagine that once a real person has to step in and deal with these types of systems, things can take quite a while before a solution is actually reached.

So, I guess it might be best to set aside everything you've attempted so far and simply restart the process using this specific method:

If you would prefer, we can also change your e-mail address for you. For security reasons, however, we ask you please to provide us with the following information:

- Your user ID:
- Your first and surname:
- Your address listed in your account:
- Your old e-mail address listed in your account:
- Your new e-mail address:
- Your date of birth:

We will change your e-mail address as soon as we receive your details. To ensure a speedy and accurate processing time, we ask you please to include the reason for your writing in your e-mail.

That should probably be all there is to it.

(In the section where you explain your "reason for writing," maybe you could describe every single step you've taken up to this point—starting from the initial deposit through all the complications until now.)

slybison8 said:If I were in your shoes, I’d take James Taylor3's advice to heart: just kick off the formal process and let them handle it on their end. Honestly? Just buckle up and get ready to wait. When you actually have to deal with a real human being inside those massive corporate systems, things tend to move at a glacial pace. You just have to hope they eventually sort it out, but don't expect it to happen overnight.

Look, just forget everything you’ve done up to this point. Seriously, wipe the slate clean. We’re starting over from scratch, following this specific procedure from the very beginning. Does that make sense? Good. Let's go.

That should pretty much do it.

In that section where you're going to lay out your "reason for writing," don't hold back—give them the full, messy timeline of everything you've dealt with so far. I mean, walk them through the whole ordeal from the very first moment you made a deposit, all the way through every single headache, runaround, and ridiculous complication you've had to navigate just to get to this point right now. Why leave anything out? If you want them to actually grasp how absurd this situation is, you have to show them the complete sequence of events.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I did. Honestly, though, I just can't wrap my head around how anyone can sit there and give advice on an option that doesn't even exist in the first place. How does that even work? 🤷

Based on everything I’ve been through, I might just be looking at waiting around for days. Honestly, why should anything ever be different? 🙂

Based on what I've seen before, I suppose I might be waiting for days.🙂

It is quite possible they might ask you for a scan of a document, such as a passport or a driver's license. I would suggest waiting just a little longer.

I’ve sent them scans of my ID before and finished the whole verification process last year. I even had a few withdrawals go through without any issues...

But then I went and changed my primary email on Moneybookers, and now I'm dealing with this absolute mess.

Could that be why 🤷

What really bugs me is having zero funds sitting in either MB or bwin. It feels like someone is just holding my money hostage somewhere. If I knew this was how it would play out, I would have closed my bwin account ages ago and just moved to a different sportsbook.

Honestly, that’s the exact reason I was trying to make a deposit—I thought I was in the clear since I’d already sorted everything out...

Yes, I believe that is exactly why. It seems they were expecting you to update your address with them directly, rather than just changing it on Moneybookers.

In my experience, there are some betting sites out there that would freeze your entire account and everything inside it immediately due to a violation like this, and then potentially ban you for life. In their eyes, it's considered a pretty serious infraction because it raises suspicions regarding things like money laundering or identity theft, among many other similar issues.

They actually seem quite reasonable, though, as they provide a few different ways to rectify the situation. I am fairly certain it can be fixed. You probably don't need to worry about your funds, but as far as timing goes, it is quite uncertain—it might perhaps take a few days to resolve.

And if they happen to ask for a scan, they will likely do so just to compare it against the previous scans you provided, simply to ensure they are still dealing with the same person.

It’s a simple situation: I’m sitting on a €50 Paysafecard that is perfectly valid and ready to go, but I’ve officially hung up my hat when it comes to playing at offshore sportsbooks.
Is there anyone out there willing to take this code off my hands in exchange for a direct $117 transfer to my DraftKings or Moneybookers account?
I need to get this sorted quickly; I'm happy to prioritize established, verified members if we can strike a deal.
Just a heads-up, since this Paysafecard was issued in Canada and is in Euros, it remains fully functional for any international site you might be using.

Still nothing from Bet365 regarding my answer. 😢 Honestly, I think this will be my last time playing with them. Once this session is over, I’m closing my account for good. Their customer service is an absolute disaster—it's frankly embarrassing for a company of their size.

Just a little rant about Expekt:

Some of my cash went out via bank transfer, while some stayed in Skrill... The bank transfer hit on Thursday or Friday (I put the request in on Sunday)
But the headache starts when you try moving money to Skrill. Since Expekt was my secondary bookie where I opened the account, they had an old email address listed for Skrill that I haven't used in ages.
So I try to get a hold of them... their live chat is broken 😕, so I send an email. Two days later, they reply asking for a screenshot of my Skrill account showing the new email, plus a copy of my ID. I send that over within half an hour... two days later, they reply again saying I need to rescan my ID because they need to see the edges clearly 😕 (even though they could clearly see them the first time)
I rescan the ID and send it... then I wait three days for a response... only for them to ask me to send the scan *again*, insisting the edge must be visible. That’s when I lost it and sent a pretty salty email along with a different version of the scan. Two days later, I get word that the ID is finally verified...

Except... they still haven't updated the email address for Skrill. That was back on Monday, and I'm still waiting to hear when they'll actually do it.🤷

Their live chat has been dead for almost two weeks now 👎 and it takes them two or three days just to answer an email... honestly, our local bookies are like spaceships compared to this bunch of idiots. If I wasn't trying to grab some free Euros from them, I'd give them a wide berth.🙂

I don't quite follow the logic behind changing your email on the main account; you could have just added multiple addresses to your current profile and simply sent messages from whichever one you preferred.
