I just mentioned on another thread how I can't believe they scheduled them for the exact same day as Skunk Anansie in Chicago 😠
I already picked up my tickets for S.A.
but I really wanted to see Fatboy Slim 😁

I honestly don't think that chubby guy from the Adidas commercial, the one constantly spinning that scratched-up CD, belongs in the same conversation as one of the greatest British rock bands ever.

But hey, in this country, everything is always upside down anyway.

On a different note, is it even worth making the trek? I have my doubts about whether the experience will live up to the hype, given that we aren't looking at a traditional live performance here. Instead, it's just going to be a standard DJ set—essentially someone spinning whatever happens to be on their playlist. From what I've been hearing, the selection isn't even particularly stellar, unless they decide to throw in a few of their own tracks every now and then.

It’s just a DJ set. Runs about an hour and a half, maybe two if they're feeling it. They mostly play other people's tracks and toss in maybe two or three of their own things per set.

Honestly, it would’ve been much better if Florian Schneider had just performed in Chicago!!!😁

And looking at the schedule from St. Louis, leaving at noon means the bus plus the ticket equals $143... man, Palm Springs feels like it's on the other side of the planet! Though, honestly, once you start driving out of St. Louis, it kind of feels that way.

Like I said before, it’s just a straight-up DJ set, nothing fancy.

He even mentioned he might throw in a couple of his own tracks, but his rule is usually no more than two or three per set.

The demand for tickets is absolutely insane right now, seriously
it looks like the organizers completely botched the math on venue capacity 😢
