From what I gather, there are groups over by the old West Side Fairgrounds run by Zafranovic and Korizma—they operate under the umbrella of the Israeli Krav Maga Association. Then, starting this fall, there’s a group based at 35 North Michigan Avenue led by Riha, which falls under the International Krav Maga Association, www.kravmaga.org.

As for the training sessions at the fairgrounds, I’m completely in the dark. Regarding Riha’s group, however, I can share what a friend mentioned to me: they are part of the International Krav Maga Association under Doslica's guidance. Apparently, Riha traveled directly to Israel to train with Eyal Yanilov for his instructor certification, and they even have Israelis coming in to oversee their technique 😁 and quality control. My impression is that Riha isn't taking any new students for the time being, though I can't say the same for the fairground group.

They pull that crap at amateur tournaments... I wore something similar once during a trip to Canada and it was a total disaster.👎
I hate fighting with all that extra gear. Shin guards are okay, maybe a helmet if I have to, but this armor? Absolutely not.
Real fighting should just be gloves. Everything else is just garbage...

I’m with you on that—stay away from Tiger... even though I spent a good chunk of my life there, it's basically a coma now... a total joke... honestly, a massive joke... You really only need to look at who's running the beginner sessions to see what's going on. So, if you actually want to learn something, don't bother with Tiger. I'd suggest H.P. or Trenk instead...

If anyone happens to be heading out to the shooting range tomorrow, I suppose you really ought to film it if you go. Please, by all means, make sure someone gets it on video!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏

It’s likely him. From what I gather—mostly through word of mouth and some targeted digging on Google—this guy used to train at a local MMA gym out near the coast... but that's just anecdotal intel. As for Chuck, I haven't been able to find a single trace of anything on him, which is why I'm asking.🤷

So, here’s what I’m looking for: does anyone know if there are any decent Pencak Silat spots in the greater D.C. area? And please, don't point me toward some tourist trap or a "fitness" class that just goes through the motions. I’m looking for the real deal—something legitimate and high-quality.

Ivica Cukusic, who hails from Split, is a former Savate world champion, and while he holds a few different titles in kickboxing, I can't quite recall the specifics of his record there, though he has transitioned into professional boxing where his success seems to be a bit more hit-or-miss.
