Does anyone have a recommendation for a solid dentist in Washington, D.C.? I'm totally fine with either a private practice or someone who takes Medicare, honestly, as long as the prices don't break the bank. I heard some really lovely things about a dentist over on Fifth Avenue, but the name completely slipped my mind! It’s super important to me that they won't just jump straight to pulling a tooth if there's a complication, and I'd really prefer someone who is willing to be extra careful with local anesthesia. Most importantly, I really need someone patient and understanding because I get pretty nervous about dental work. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Could you perhaps be a bit more specific—like, which city or county are we talking about?

I’m joining the hunt for a dentist who accepts Medicare—ideally located on the West Side of NYC or somewhere downtown. It’s crucial that you’ve actually been to this person multiple times and were genuinely satisfied, and please, I need someone with more than 100 posts under their belt. 😁 It would be a major plus if the office is equipped with modern technology. Thanks in advance for the leads!

Well, like I mentioned at the beginning of my post, I was actually out in Washington, D.C. 🙂

So, I finally gave in and called up Elizabeth Warren’s office over on Broadway after hearing so many glowing reviews from friends. Everyone was raving about how she’s basically the gold standard for anyone who gets a massive case of dental anxiety!
Since they’re a private practice but still take Medicare, I was wondering how the billing actually works out—like, what kind of prices should I be expecting for things like white fillings and stuff like that?

Thanks so much to all you kind souls for sharing that info! 🙂

Can someone give me a heads-up on which of these gynecologists I should go with? Mayo Clinic. Anyone in Brooklyn, NYC know which clinic is best? It’s my first checkup...

John Doe, MD, Mary Hršak, MD, Renata Obrad-Sabljak, MD, and Tajana Klepac Pulanić, MD.

Anyone around?

I mean, from everything I’ve heard, everyone in the NBA is playing at a high level right now, but who knows if that actually means anything for you? It's one of those things where you just have to show up and see what happens, I guess...🙂

I heard this about J. Stefanac Papic—if she senses you're too trusting (or even if you aren't), she’ll try to push every possible procedure and orthodontic treatment just to drain your bank account. She’ll also attempt to "fix" teeth that don't actually need work—though, honestly, it’s her staff doing the pushing, not her—people you wouldn't even trust for basic care, let alone complex work. Word is her orthodontics are decent enough, but you'll end up paying a massive premium compared to other providers who offer the same quality without being so money-hungry. It’s worth doing some digging first—specifically asking dentists who don't have a kickback scheme going with certain specialists.

I’m currently a student here in the States and I'm looking to switch over to a new gynecologist. Does anyone know of a good doctor in the area who is actually accepting new patients right now? While I'm at it, I could also use a solid recommendation for a dentist. 😉

I usually head over to the Lincoln Park area and my dentist there is actually pretty decent. I'm fairly sure they have some availability left, so here's the number if you want to give them a ring: 4604126

Are you based in Chicago? Just head over to Northwestern Memorial and see whoever is available there.

She doesn't work at the Zillinger's clinic anymore. She's strictly private now.
But honestly, massive props to her!

Elizabeth Hill48 said:It’s not the new Chicago, but if you don't care much about that: mydentist—he's gentle, super understanding, talks a lot, but he really knows his stuff. A friend recommended him and I'm so happy; he cleaned off my tartar and replaced a filling without any anesthesia—since that's what I wanted, it didn't hurt even a little bit😉. I was seeing him privately at first, but now he's actually taken me on through Medicare so I don't have to pay out of pocket anymore
.

Could you please let me know if Dr. Doblanović (the clinic on Rendić's in Chicago) has a dental X-ray machine? I mean, one where he can see the image on a computer right away. If they have that, how much does he charge? My old private dentist used to have one of those, but unfortunately, he isn't practicing in Chicago anymore. What are the prices usually like? Is Dr. Doblanović still accepting new patients through Medicare? Also, do you happen to know the costs for, say, white fillings—both the private rate and the Medicare rate? Their website doesn't list a price sheet, which is why I'm asking. You can just send me a private message if you'd rather not answer this publicly. Thanks so much in advance for the help.

Does anyone happen to know a good private dentist in Chicago? I'm looking for someone around the Trnaja or Downtown areas who has their own X-ray machine on-site. Ideally, I need someone with reasonable pricing, too—nothing too crazy. It's kind of an urgent situation, I guess.

http://lauc.net/apolonija/ The doctor is excellent, but I suspect her rates are a bit steep. Double fillings go for $133, while triple ones hit 500... and so on. 🙂

Honestly, I wouldn't even trust those assistants; I'd probably walk out and find someone else for that kind of work. Apparently, her orthodontics are decent enough, but in the end, it's going to cost you way too much compared to other places that offer similar quality without being so greedy. It’s definitely worth doing a bit more digging first, especially by asking dentists who don't have a personal stake in recommending one specific orthodontist over another.

Thanks, 🙂

I was wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation for a general practitioner.
I just moved over to the Treasure Island area here in Chicago, so my main priority is finding someone nearby.

Thanks so much

Hello everyone. I’m looking for recommendations. Specifically an ENT specialist—maybe at a major hospital system like Mayo Clinic or similar... I'm honestly not sure where to start.

I’ve heard Katarina Vukovic is excellent, and there are some decent reviews online for a few others, like Ries, Geber, or Ajduk.

Has anyone actually dealt with them? Or perhaps someone in private practice? Thanks. 🙂
