Peter Thompson4 said:Man, Friday night was a total bust, just a complete washout, and I ended up wasting my whole evening just wandering around aimlessly. Honestly, it’s depressing because I remember back when I was in high school and even through my early twenties, I could go out any night of the week and meet someone new without even trying, but now? Now you can't even count on a Saturday night having a decent crowd at the bars—it's a freaking disaster.

Look, the whole restaurant-club hybrid thing isn't a terrible concept or whatever, but honestly, there are nights when I’d much rather just get absolutely hammered than pretend to be a decent, polite member of society. Has anyone actually been out in Vegas or Austin lately? Is the nightlife there also turning into a total joke?

I wouldn't mind heading there; > is pretty fun, too.

Lately? Honestly, even like five years ago when I was actually out on the town more often, life in Chicago was already pretty decent. Where exactly did you hit up in New York? Which club were you at? And what's even worth checking out in Philly?

Also, has anyone ventured over to DC lately? My buddy told me the nightlife there is absolutely legendary when it comes to hitting clubs and meeting women.

I have, but it was a while ago, maybe three or four years back. The women are great.
I was in LA last month and it was awesome. Every cafe was packed with women. 🙂

I've read stuff about NYC being one of the best spots for nightlife, but I wonder how they actually treat us? My buddies are dying to head out there, but frankly, I’m not feeling it since the music scene isn't really my vibe, and I'd much rather hit up some other parts of Europe instead. Actually, I'm planning a quick trip over to Chicago this weekend, so I'll let you guys know if the nightlife there lives up to the hype.

They don't care if you're an American. They aren't going to ban certain music in every single bar like they do back home. When I tell them about the restrictions we deal with here, they just look at me like I'm crazy.
To me, people in New York were much friendlier than people back home.

Honestly, I wish I knew; we mostly just stuck to our local bars. But about two or three years ago, Bratislava was just an easy train ride from Vienna, so plenty of people would head over there for the weekend and back. It’s a cool little city and pretty affordable. There are tons of tourists too—we met some Brits while we were there, which made the whole thing a blast. 😬

I’ve heard similar things about Mexico City—that there aren't as many clubs as there are in LA. I haven't been myself, but I've heard the train ride there is cheap.

Our contractors are heading over to Mexico, and their guys are coming here. We’re both just totally fed up with relying on "local" talent, so we’re basically doing a trade 🤣. Honestly, we noticed things went south during the last swap ☕

Wait, so do you live in Vienna or something? I didn't quite catch how that connection works.

Man, I've also heard we have way more clubs on our side than they do over there, but I don't know if I'm losing my mind or what, because I find it hard to believe I won't end up stuck in some random club somewhere over there.😁.

Sometimes there's a cheap train deal from one city to another, but usually, I figure the bus is the cheaper bet.

You aren't going to end up stuck in a club unless you're the kind of unlucky guy who manages to find a dry spot in a rainstorm.

What do you mean, New York? 🤣
I was just pointing out how close they are. As for Chicago, nothing would surprise me there; the city is basically run by frat boys anyway.

I honestly can't imagine having any kind of fun without a classic, greasy cheeseburger from Five Guys by my side...
