Between them and Densi, I’d choose Densi every single time, and not just for the seating or the beer, but because their kebabs are genuinely excellent. Best in town, in my opinion.

But honestly, if the goal is to glorify them, let's be real: they're all absolute FF trash. If I were looking for $23, I’d much rather hit up a local tavern run by a real American ☕

Yeah, I agree, Djir is wild. The food is solid, they have a corner for kids where you can let them mess around, and the atmosphere is actually pleasant.

As for the price, as far as I know, it seems perfectly reasonable. Ultimately, if we are weighing cost against portion size and location, I’d say the best move would be to just head over to Lisbon; for 10 euros, the food there is insane—you pick from X dishes and just cram as much as you can in, especially since the location is right at the foot of the Elevador.

It’s just a shame it isn't practical to fly to Portugal every single day, haha.

Djir is good; had the oven-roasted chicken and veggies there once, top tier.

Jaw Distortion $30

Is this actually overpriced or am I just broke?

There you have it. And since we’re giving them a little shout-out, let's mention that they're still grinding even during these crisis times, keeping the orders flowing steadily through delivery.👍

$20 Honestly, for a burger, it's a little pricier than your average spot at those high-end burger bars in Washington, D.C.

All I know is that the one for 20-$10 ended up being the most expensive thing I bought in the end, but look, if you aren't cutting corners on quality, the price has to reflect that, period, because quantity is always > quality

Locked down at home with your own abusers.

I mean, this kind of headline has been popping up on every single news site for the last ten days straight, so you can't exactly miss it if you're actually looking.

But then again, I'm just not seeing headlines like these, which honestly seem just as logical to me:

Schools are shut down, and mass shooters can't kill kids if they can't get in.

Is it just me, or what? 😕

Look, I’ll attribute this to the idea that you shouldn't trust a hungry man—and thank God for that—but this has become a very real (and growing) issue now that everyone is stuck without any way to escape.

I suspect most of us are noticing tensions that weren't there before, both within ourselves and among our own families. Now, just imagine how an extreme situation like this affects those who already regularly act out their insecurities through various forms of violence against the more vulnerable members of their household.

That’s just a general observation. To get specific, a friend of mine works in social services, and the situation is worse than bad, primarily because domestic violence has slipped even further down the state's list of priorities than it usually is.

Wait, didn't we already pass that convention? I thought that whole thing was settled—done and dusted. But apparently not. Typical.

So, what—is physical violence really the only kind of abuse out there? It feels like every time you turn on the news or scroll through social media, it's just the same old story: some guy acting like a monster. Anything else? Honestly, it’s like everything else gets dismissed as just some weird fantasy or whatever. There's nothing else being talked about.

Right, I’m definitely not saying that isn't the case. What I’m noticing is that this particular issue is being elevated above everything else—not that it's the *only* thing being talked about, obviously, but given the climate we’ve been living in over the last few years, this is being amplified way more than other negatives, even though there are tons of them right now. Just a ton. I don't think I even need to point out that these problems are basically doubling up and multiplying across every single part of life.

On top of that, men are getting stigmatized all over again, and let me be clear: discrimination isn't okay just because it's being aimed at men or any other "majority" group. It seriously bugs me when people try to pitch discrimination as the solution to the problem of discrimination. To me, that’s never going to work, and anyone trying to discriminate under the guise of fixing discrimination is nothing more than a bully trying to push their way in front of the old bully.

Look, let’s be real here, nobody is disputing that there's a massive issue at hand, or at least I'm certainly not doubting it, because you've got one group of people who have been quietly stepping up to help victims for years without asking for a dime, and then you've got this other crowd that just exploits the whole situation to push their own private agendas or serve certain group interests. And honestly, in their desperate attempt to fight their own battles, they might actually end up helping some innocent people along the way, so you'll hear folks claiming that any help is good help, but the truth is they're causing a whole lot of damage at the exact same time.

What if a woman spends months, even years, psychologically abusing her partner, and then one day he just snaps and loses it on her? Who’s actually the victim and who’s the aggressor then? But no, you aren't allowed to question that—apparently, the woman is always the innocent victim while the guy just beats her because he's bored or treats it like a hobby.

Just look at that headline: Locked in a house with your own abusers.

I wonder what Justin would say about a title like that?
