I feel like I’m hitting a brick wall with my doctors lately. It’s incredibly frustrating because they just keep prescribing these standard acetaminophen or tramadol pills for my pain, and honestly, I don't feel a single thing from them. 🙂 The reality is that I’m on methadone every day—which is morphine-based—so we’re talking about a completely different tier of potency compared to basic tramadol. It’s just simple logic, really; my system is calibrated to something much stronger, so these weaker options are practically placebo at this point. If I actually want some relief, I need something like morphine tablets—specifically MST. But apparently, my doctors have this misguided idea that morphine is only for end-of-life care or extreme trauma, as if you only need it when someone is literally ripping your fingernails out. I’m not trying to be difficult, but I can't figure out if I'm just failing to communicate effectively, or if there's some underlying bias where they think certain people shouldn't have access to these types of medications. Who knows? 🙂 I wish I could just hand them one methadone pill and one tramadol pill side-by-side so they could witness the massive gap in efficacy for themselves. They probably wouldn't even feel the tramadol! 🙂

Hey folks 🙂... I could use a little advice from the group.
I've never messed with ADHD meds or anything similar before, but I’m thinking about trying something—mostly because I have some big job interviews coming up and I really don't want my nerves to get the better of me.
Basically, I'm looking for something I can take beforehand to help me chill out and take the edge off.

There are plenty of much better options out there... stuff that genuinely transports you into this kaleidoscopic dreamscape... where it feels like you're just floating through life...😉

What are you getting at here?
What do you mean, "drug of choice"?
This is just medication that finally makes me feel like myself again, and it was prescribed by my doctor.
I'm honestly just curious if anyone else here has had similar—or even completely different—experiences with them...

What kind of pain are you dealing with?
MST is typically prescribed for patients facing constant, 24/7 pain, such as those with metastatic cancer, terminal stages of illness, or following major surgical procedures.
MST is also highly addictive and builds tolerance quickly. It is unlikely they would prescribe it to a patient already on methadone without an extremely compelling reason, as they would essentially just be swapping one dependency for another.

If it makes you feel any better, I’m dropping a ton of cash every month and a half just to get two big boxes of Anafranil$100. Pfizer doesn't even make it anymore.
And there's some rumor going around that Aurora will be out of stock too, which is going to cost me even more money.$33.

I thought it was for waking up in the middle of the night, but I've been doing better lately.
I eventually gave up on it. Another doctor told me it wasn't the best move—said it's more for older folks (heard that one before). Instead, I'm going to try some Valerian from Speciassol. It's herbal-based and, as far as I know, the strongest thing on the market... says 250 mg per tablet.
I saw online that Now Foods makes 500 mg Valerian Root capsules... but I have no idea if you can actually find those in the States or if they're just an import thing. Anyone know?

Well, why not just pick up some morphine on the street? 🙂))) A simple solution... since they only prescribe it to people on their deathbeds.... and hey, you're already so used to taking heavy stuff, right?

So, does anyone here actually have first-hand experience dealing with Lorasil?

It reminds me of when my ex-boyfriend took a hit to the head; he got into a scrap with this guy who totally lost it when he saw us together 🤷 I know he ended up in the ER, and since he was there for about twenty different tests, they gave him morphine. He told me it felt amazing at the time 😍 As for me, I've taken pure codeine tablets a few times, and the feeling is almost identical to what happens in an ER, though I highly doubt your doctor is going to prescribe that to you on their own.

I’m on Lorsilan right now, and honestly, out of all the benzos I've messed with, this one does the best job at just... chilling me out and taking the edge off. But, you know, it’s still a benzo, so it’s kind of a bit of a decoy, just like the rest of them.😢 My psychiatrist actually put me on Helix for the time being, but he did mention that if that doesn't sit right with me, I should probably switch back over to Lorsilan.

😁Which anxiolytics actually work for you guys? I'm curious what you're currently taking and which ones were just a total letdown for you🤷

I tried one pill once—and honestly, my compulsions were at an absolute rock bottom back then. I was considering asking my psychiatrist about it, but I wasn't entirely sure if the medication itself actually quelled those obsessive urges, so I ended up asking a friend to spare a couple just so I could run a little test. She gave them to me, obviously, but naturally—because my luck is just stellar—they slipped right out of my fanny pack somewhere on the street.

I'm asking because it's clearly addictive—what milligram dosage are you all taking, for how long, and what kind of effect does it actually have on you?

Right now, I’m on Diazepam for my therapy, but frankly, I drink it down like water. Even though it's prescribed at three times a day, I only take it occasionally... and when the anxiety really starts to spiral, even 20mg doesn't do a damn thing for me.

I haven't cycled through a massive variety of sedatives—my patience for trial and error is frankly quite low—but I have to say, Xanax was definitely the gold standard for me.

Lorazepam—specifically Lorsilan—is a incredibly potent anxiolytic. That’s why you see it used so frequently in clinical settings, mostly in hospitals. It isn't prescribed all that often, though, because it triggers tolerance and dependency remarkably fast. Personally, I built up a tolerance to lorazepam quite rapidly. If I recall correctly, I started at 2.5 mg and jumped to 7 mg in about five days. Mind you, I had already developed a tolerance to other benzodiazepine anxiolytics by then. And looking at your situation, it seems you're heading down that same path. As it stands, I have a tolerance to every benzo anxiolytic I've ever tried, and that tolerance... well, it stays with you.

For me, Xanax and Helix work pretty well too—they kick in fast when the anxiety or panic attacks start hitting, helping me chill out and actually boosting my mood a bit. It’s funny, because I tried Misar (which is basically the same formula but made by Johnson & Johnson), and it worked great for the first two days, but then it started making me feel all aggressive and restless, which was super weird. Diazepam just hits for a second and then disappears; after about an hour, it feels like I just drank a glass of water, totally useless. But Lorsilan? That’s the winner for me. It really quietens my mind and helps me relax. My doctor prescribed it three times a day, but I usually just take it whenever I actually need it.

In that case, there’s really no point in even trying it if I'm just going to end up with the same issue I had with Diazepam.
Thanks for the insight.

I started on the 300mg Seroquel XR yesterday—finally back in the game, so let's see just how much this thing can actually do.🙂

Larry Lewis I can't even begin to deal with this right now. It’s just... ugh. Honestly, I don't even know where to start because everything feels like such a mess lately. You see people talking, acting like they have it all figured out, and then you look at the reality of the situation and it's just a joke. A complete joke. Anyway, whatever. Just one of those days where everything feels heavy and nothing makes sense. Just venting, I guess.
So, I finally started the 300mg Seroquel XR yesterday. It’s officially in play now, so let's see what this thing actually does to me.🙂

Honestly, Seroquel works for me—it’s actually doing a better job than my old meds—but man, the weight gain is no joke. I am constantly craving sugar like crazy. It's constant.😉
I am seriously obsessed with sweets. Like, I can't help it—yum, yum, yum. I’ve actually talked it over with my doctor, and we're going to try cutting back by half. We'll see how that goes.
I'm sitting at 150 mg a day right now.
I just really hope my obsessions don't start spiraling out of control again. Not looking forward to that.
